I can defos make one for essentials and hack items people don’t think of, in fact I have a whole list going on my phone that I add to every time I travel. however, I can’t provide much help on packing light 😅
omg so cool hehe! you’ll see even more in the next vlog!! which ones do you frequent? have you been to urban renewals? that’s in the next vlog and it was one of my favs
It's so weird to see the breakers thru someone else's eyes because I worked there and was thoroughly sick of it by the time I left! Lol. People used to fall all the time... everywhere... inside and out... there was one day we called the ambulance 3 times.
Confession: the only reason I watched this late is because I wanted to watch it at the end of a work week & fully enjoy your content ❤ Miss your vlogs!!
i’ve been so excited for this - thank you so much for sharing your travels!! i’m going to the US later this year, so will take any recommendations you have around new york 🗽💗🫶🏻
I really miss travelling. I even miss the really long flights 😞 How was it actually getting to America? People in the UK keep having their flights cancelled 😅
Ahaha the long flights even!? For me it was fairly easy, all covid-related documents for entry are uploaded online for the airline prior, so when actually at the airport and arriving in the US it was no different, went very smoothly. I haven’t heard much about flight cancellations though, I wonder which airlines and for what reasons?
@@themilkclub In the U.K. a lot of airport and airline staff were let go during the pandemic, now they don’t have enough staff to cope with the increased amount of people flying, plus they don’t have great pay or hours to attract new staff in. Recently there was a video of a pilot getting out the plane and loading baggage as he didn’t want to miss the slot to fly and they were still waiting for people to load it.
@@shelleycl3210 That’s so funny, the exact same thing has happened in the US. In 2020, hundreds of airports let go/retired a ton of their pilots and now it’s extremely difficult for them to find new pilots and the old pilots don’t want to come out of retirement now. Combined the shortage with the summer post-COVID travel season, and some US airports are a cancellation nightmare. (I don’t think every airline has been affected though. The biggest ones like Delta seem fine.)
My husband I were just talking about visiting this area to see if we want to live there after his graduate programs, so this feels like such a sign! I always love your vlogs. Especially the ones of your time in America, as it makes me see the beauty in my own country a little more :')
not sure if this is like a "duh"question- but how are you able to fly first class? Are we just paying first class tickets or are you travel hacking/using points? probs RU-vid $$ helps with first class tickets I'm sure lol sorry if this is a rude q- I'm flying to London in a couple days and dreeeeeam of flying business/first class simply so I can lay down! xx
omg it's defos not first or business class lol the dream though! I was flying premium economy. due to being on the taller side I really struggle with economy on long-haul, so premium is currently what I go for.
Thank you so much for posting! This is by far my favourite yt channel. Just a silly question, since you're traveling alone who is taking your pictures? You ask strangers o place the camera somewhere?
thank u so much! and great question. the photos on my insta taken in Providence (shown in this video too) I took using a Gorillapod and the Lens Buddy self timer app. the photos on my insta taken in Boston were by a lovely young woman walking by with her mum - I explain that little story in the next vlog :D not the first time I've asked strangers to take pics on my trips though. for the rest of the trip, I was so lucky to have my friend in new york and then later on my sister to help out, but if I'm alone the Gorillapod + iPhone mount attachment has been a game changer for me.
