Back in Time: Lexington - KY, USA - 1989 (Part 2) 

i miss our hot air balloons. there used to be so many!

December 1989 was one of the coldest I've ever seen in Kentucky, and these winter scenes look like they're from that time. There were a few days during Christmas break with daytime highs of -10.

Wow... they drive right past my childhood home at 14:00, but don't pan the camera around. SO CLOSE... I would have loved to have seen it.

This is amazing! We moved to Lexington in 89 when I was 15. Lived on Catskill Court. I attended Tates Creek High. I moved away in 99.

1989. That indeed was back in time. It was so long ago that people believed East Germans had just achieved freedom and prosperity.

Wow, us baby boomers and older , this is the mall, we had no online ordering stuff. It was great to go and shop, yes till ya drop. We made a day of it usually ending out to dinner. Simple, easy, now don’t get me wrong I like Amazon too but there’s nothing like going into a fine dept store and smelling all the perfumes and picking out one. I miss that…….

Blast from the past. I remember my parents taking my brother, sister, and I to that mall for Halloween once or twice, almost thought we might show up in the video. Nice upload. Do you know if that MegaMarket was on Richmond road? It looks like an area that was close to my neighborhood and we used to get groceries there, but I was too young to have a good memory of the name, I think it was MegaMarket but not 100%.

Anyone have 80s Turfland Mall footage?
