In this video, we go over the top 5 neighborhoods to live in, in Lexington, KY. This list was created from personal experience, online rankings, and my client's personal preferences. Hang around until the end of the video to catch a bonus area in Lex!

Thank you for this video, as someone who's looking to move, knowing what areas are considered safe and worth moving into helps me quite a lot. One of the apartments I was looking at was in the Veterans Park area (Racquet Club). Once My current home sells, and I get some additional income set, i'll have to keep a look out for homes in some of these neighborhoods (Not Chevy chase, I don't make no where enough to even think about those homes, lol) Ick, I just looked up the Racquet club Apts, and yeah, *horrible* reviews and issues.. guess I'm out and searching for more, lol.

@@livininlex I'm heading down there (I got the job!) Tomorrow (saturday) to view a few apartments and a few houses to rent. The main issue I'm coming across is that I find a few properties (apartment/condos) that look great, then I see the reviews and they're hard to trust. The MAA owned properties seem really nice, other than I guess they used the wrong windows in the buildings and the heating costs go through the roof during the winter. Other areas have various reviews that fluctuate from 1 start to 5 stars.. I don't want to get tied into a 6-12mo lease and find that it'll be miserable. I hate moving. lol

@@livininlex Right now I think 1500/month is generally the limit for me right now depending on amenities. I prefer a 2 bedroom unit, updated interiors (I love hardwood/laminate flooring over carpeting) dishwasher would be nice, and central A/C. Must be pet friendly (cat) and in a decent neighborhood etc. Assigned parking or a private garage would be nice, but it's not a necessity. I've been in contact with Palomar to view some of their units as well. Also open to areas outside of Lexington, there's a house I've been eyeing in southern Georgetown. I'll be commuting to Frankfort for work. Edit: If I can find a house (or condo/townhome) to rent over an apartment, I'd prefer that as I've never been a huge fan of apartment living, but until my current house sells I want to keep from buying a house right away.

I really would like to see more of Kentucky modern homes. I think it would encourage more people to want to come to Kentucky. Example look at the modern homes in Texas or Las Vegas

We have some here, but not many. Most of our homes are very traditional in style. However, there are some builders that build modern homes. Come up here and build a modern home!

I live in Maysville Kentucky not far from Lexington, I lived in Lexington in the late 90's early 2000's and visit with relatives still there absolutely love Lexington always have, home of the UK Wildcats lol but always loved going shopping around the holidays as well and it's so beautiful during Christmas time ✌️💙

Great video! I’ve been dreaming of moving to Lexington for a long time I’m stuck in Florida for another two years unfortunately but I’m starting to get things in order to get up there. I’ve always wanted Ashland Park Chevy Chase area but what you said about Kenwick might take me that way. I’ll make sure to save this video and contact you when I’m ready. Another important factor is that I live close to that Whole Foods but 15 minutes is not too bad

What is there to do all year round in down town Irvine Kentucky from Lexington and Louisville downtown Kentucky

I was thinking Chilesburg Neighborhood would of been at least in top 5. There is the elementary school and middle school inside the neighborhood and probably one of the safest neighborhoods in Lexington. Not to mention Jacobson park is next door and also 3 minutes from the interstate for fast traveling.

Chilesburg is right up there with them! I actually showed a home there earlier today. Lexington has a lot of great neighborhoods. I’ll likely talk more about it in future videos!

My husband and I currently live in a 1 bedroom apt in Frankfort near the hospital which is good as my husband can walk to work at the hospital-only 5minutes away. We are considering moving to Lexington in the summertime. We would be looking for a 1 bedroom apt near the hospitals there. I am going to drive over to Lexington one Sunday to get a look at the area. Better on early Sunday morning with no traffic about. We moved down to Kentucky in 2021 from Albany, NY and so are still new. I would appreciate some apartment ideas that are near the hospitals. Thank you.

I pretty much tell people to pick a main road and drive. Odds are, you’ll hit New Circle (unless you’re on Man O War). If you miss New Circle, fear not, you’ll probably hit Man O War. And if you miss Man O War, there’s always the interstate. Plenty of ways around town but PLEASE remember that on Nich Road, the lanes change close to downtown! Too many people (even locals) forget that and end up in wrecks (ironically right outside of Central Baptist Hospital is probably the worst spot about that).

A sad note about American homes in general. Why are homes so flimsy and unreliable? I've been in the US for seven years now and I just can't get pass this. Construction materials and techniques have changed for the better all over the world but not here. People still build with cardboard

I live in beaumont and there are beautiful paved trails with trees and a baseball park 2 minutes (walking distance) from my house. There are also two parks with trails leading to then. And there's a trail leading to Kroger

There are also sidewalks on every road and they are very well maintained. The traffic is pretty chill, unless you get to beaumont center ln, which is the biggest and most central road. But even there, there are good sidewalks and it is safe for children to walk and bike. You can also bike /walk to the library, ice cream, Starbucks. A pet store, liquor barn, resteraunts etc

Never heard of this guy and I know hundreds of realtors in Lexington. He is out of his mind to think Southland is in the top 5 neighborhoods, just as a start.
