I liked this episode, demonstrating the "explore" and "add" aspects .... thank you. If I recall correctly, there was a "directive" out for National Geographic photographers in the fifties to include a human being in landscapes to foster "human interest" and provide scale, and they should have something red on them (cap, shirt, ...) to make them stand out. Now, we wouldn't want to be that "forceful" today anymore, would we? But the idea behind them ... provide scale by the new object; provide a starting point for the eye to travel when it's a complex photo ... and, yes, people might be useful for this, as you demonstrated in some examples.
