she had 2 sides.. strong but also a bit insecure and playful even a bit like a child and dont mean it in a offensive way... I am a big Amy Fan, but still curious how this would look like 😅
Damn all people do is B**** without give this a chance before B****ING about something. Some of yall act like you knew the person personally. You’re just fans nothing more & picky ones at that. Just give it a chance & if it fully sucks and y’all hate then 💩 on it.
Amy's fans truly love her from the bottom of our hearts. Amy and I went through it at the same time. I made it, sadly she did not. I miss her. She died way too soon
I went to rehab when her first single came out. Britney Spears had her meltdown at the same time and my family thought it was a joke of me going to rehab. Shame on them.
Her dad gave her crap advice not to go to rehab obvs she was a Money making machine her record company tried ❤ it’s a lonely place addiction and nobody but another addict/alcoholic can truly understand the depths of hell you bring yourself out of so well done to you for seeking help ❤️🙏 too many young people dying from this terrible illness ❤️ may you rest in peace Amy a beautiful soul ❤🙏
I love Amy. That's the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about her. I share strong feelings with her music, personality, and how she behave in a world that only cared about the money she could produce. She wasn't an icon, she wasn't someone to stan, someone to have a poster of. She was more than that. She was a human, like all of us, deserving of all the respect and admirers she could have, but not the image the media was trying to sell. Seeing the same media and people that spoke of her as you would talk of any other horrible person, MAKING THE MOVIE , just breaks my heart. You know what I believe she deserves? A mural. Art. Bars with her name. Books or stories about her written by fans. Covers from multiple artists. People like Billie Eilish saying how special she is. Being remembered; being eternal. But not a movie. Not by this people. Not in the world we live in and specially: not with his father and the people who exploited her around. She's the Amy that bought a small apartment in the same hometown with her first paychecks, the one who always frequented the same bars, the one who received fans in her front door, who went to the streets dressing as if she was one of us, not rich, not famous, just one of us. The one who when winning a Grammy didn't cry, wasn't surprised, or even happy; she was just amazed that Tony Bennett said her name. She belongs to us. And to everyone that ever loved her.
thank you so much for this, all your words moved me, let’s remember amy as the kind hearted women that she was and always has been, may she rest easy forever
So beautifully put. I was on a work visa from Australia when she died. I was working at a pub in Camden when she died.i wrote her a letter and left it outside the sharing they had started in the park across from her apartment. I listened to her in my darkest days and felt like that part of my life closed the date she died. The docos have already been too much. It doesn't speak really to how she viewed herself and seems very disconnected. I sincerely hope the movie does well and that they get to see the Amt we all grew with and loved but I fear it would be a big swing and a miss
We all feel so protective of Amy and her legacy that when we see an actress that does not resemble her at all portray her, it feels insulting. To both Amy and her fans. She is irreplaceable, incomparable. Leave her alone please. Let her rest.
Sadly, I remember the day and where I was when I heard that Amy Winehouse has passed away. She was truly an icon of the 21st century. Her musical genius, her definitive sound, and her influence on other musicians will live on forever.
Same. I was 22 years old, working at a bakery, and the owner nonchalantly said first thing in the morning, "You hear Amy Winehouse died?" and chuckled as he walked away. I was gutted. I discovered Amy only a couple years before, but was obsessed with her. She was such a genius musically, but what was so endearing was her badass, cool girl, but not looking to impress anybody personality. After she died, I would get so sad about her, I would even have a dream about her. She will always be missed.
She's been cast badly but Jack O Connell as Blake Fielder Civil is a stroke of genius. It's stressing me out how little time it looks like they put in to the rest of it. With him on board alone this could have been a real work of art. Even prosthetics wouldn't have gone amiss. Amy was a very unique looking character. If they can put fake teeth on Rami Malek they can put them on this lady.
Casting her badly is almost perfect cause we will never know her full story of all the trauma she endured. And of course it is watered down if her father was involved in the biopic. I don’t think it will be accurate. Of Amy didn’t have any diaries or close friends for these people to go off of it will be a 100% money grab that it is
@@Duchess8705 I agree 100%. Rami was hilariously BAD as Freddie Mercury. He must have wooed or bought off the right people at the Academy to nab that Oscar!
Nina gold thought she had more power than Amy Dawson, she’s going to find out the hard way. This is the biggest Hollywood casting scandal of all time. Popcorn ready 😛
@@noahziegler3478 I know. I am a HUGE Freddie Mercury fan and I was HORRIFIED at that 'Bohemian Rhapsody' rubbish with the woeful Rami Malek. Shockingly bad. They must have paid someone off to get that Oscar.
I can’t judge about the movie yet, but what Amy Winehouse looks like is so ingrained in my mind that it would be hard to suspend my disbelief and see an actress that bears no resemblance to her, as her.
One of the best female musicians of our time. Frank & Back to Black are timeless masterpieces. People can say what they want about her but the fact is she and her music will outlive all of us and will still be listened to in years and years to come. Never forgotten ❤
Visually it looks right, but the actress playing her isn’t cutting it. Amy had a certain type of charisma and uniqueness that is very hard to embody. It feels like a hollow shell. Like a costume for Halloween. She doesn’t embody Amy
This reeks of wicked. Her story needs to be told and that's what documentaries are for. She can't be mimicked, her voice was too raw and powerful. Her presence wasn't something that can be duplicated nor acted out. Hollywood is vile to it's core.
Obscuro, triste e sombrio. Amy foi umas das maiores artistas da minha geração. Vi ela se tornar uma estrela e se machucar muito feio por isso. Um relacionamento pode levar você a ruínas. Sinto um nó na garganta ao assistir esse trailer.
How can you cast someone who looks NOTHING like Amy? Regardless of how great the film could well be, you cant escape it- every time 'Amy' appears, it's an imposter!
For any Amy Winehouse fan such as myself, this is going to be difficult to watch, knowing how her story ends. However, I'm going to watch it because it will be interesting to see it from her point of view and how talented she was as a musician.
I won't be watching this embarassing shit when it comes out. It looks laughably bad. 🤣The 'Amy' documentary by Asif Kapadia in 2015 already covered everything.
How is this movie from her point of view? This was written by somebody else who is trying to profit from her grave? I will NOT be watching this. And I know for sure TRUE Amy fans won’t either. This is disgusting and everything she would have hated.
I wish they would have used her actual voice…. It’s a total hit to the gut. JLo didn’t sing for Selena…. Selena played her part beyond the grave through her music…. Amy deserves to play the part of her own voice.
Fair play to whoever edited that trailer. It wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. But is that Amy's singing voice in the trailer? It's either a different take of Back to Black, or someone else singing. I hope they use Amy's singing voice in the film. That was the biggest flaw of the Judy Garland biopic. Without the magic of Amy's voice, this film will feel even more unjustified.
I saw a post that Marisa had been working with an Abbey Road producer on the vocals during the filming of the movie. It’s not as bad as I thought it was gonna be, but it’s still weird.
@@bunnyfernwood to someone like me who isn't really a fan, it's pretty good. It's her fans who will be the hardest to please. Bowie is my hero and they made a biopic of him. I turned it off after 2 minutes. The fella playing him got him completely wrong. So wrong it was cringe worthy.
Do not be fooled, a lot of Ai voice duplication is being used in the industry now because they don't have to perform concerts or sing live with these movies.
I feel the movie and the actress wont do justice to Amy Winehouse. There is no one like Amy. She was the greatest singer. She was phenomenal and she was know worldwide for her talent. She was so talented, beautiful and unique. She will always be loved and remembered. Gone too soon. RIP Amy💔💔💔
It might not seem exactly as she was herself because it can’t be, it could never be. It is impossible to be exactly as the individual without being the individual themselves. That said it seems a valid effort was made for fans who know little of her life story and or for those who know the full story. An unfortunate human story of struggles. She really was a starlet, enormously talented.
I am a senior African American Woman. I love Amy's music. It really hit me hard when she passed. I was excited for her future. She had that down home funk Fontana Bass to jazzy sounds of Sarah Vaughn. To me this young lady was a precious gem. Tony Bennett loved her as well. I have no plans to see this movie. But I wish them luck. It's to soon. Her passing is still raw.
Yasmin largou a Industry do mercado financeiro e se tornou cantora. Para quem não entendeu, a atriz principal está no elenco da série "Industry", que é sobre o mercado de ações.
Amy would hate this. NOT ONLY is sam-taylor Johnson the director (a predator) but this is the exact industry Amy hated. The exact industry that brought her down. boycott this
Oh yes, Sam Taylor is the one who groomed her current husband when he was 19 and married him and had two children. And now she’s like 60 yo or something. This is disturbing
@@emmcsyes, a predator. She was 42 when she got engaged to her 19 year old boyfriend. She met him when he was a minor. If the roles were reversed everyone would 100% agree the man is a predator. It should be no different just because Sam is a woman. Their CHILDREN are closer in age to her husband than he is to her. Gross.
@@mrharry448 I don’t know anything about that relationship. I don’t even know the names. If there is a significant age gap and a minor was/is involved I will unequivocally say that the “adult” in the relationship is a predator.
Amy una de las mayores artistas de la historia, dejo un legado implacable. Habitan tantos productos mediocres dentro de la cultura popular y se fueron tantas leyendas, la diva y sus demonios.. parece una gran pelicula. No veo la hora de verla..
Whoever they cast it wouldn’t have been right. I’m sure the actor has put her all in to it. As long as it shows Amy respect, that’s all that matters. I miss her dearly x
Concerteza vou assistir.
I saw a post on Twitter that said if they made a biopic of Amy, Lady Gaga should take the role of playing her. No one can portray Amy. Amy was a legend taken from us way too soon. 💔👼
Many negative comments are dumping all over this and saying how much Amy would hate this or how the actress isn't any good. How about looking at it differently? Look at this as a way to get her story out there to people who don't know her? Maybe it will cause more people to be curious and do more digging to see all her videos, and listen to her music creating more appreciative fans. Maybe it could save some lives.
Our Amy was such a unique and one of a kind person, nothing but her good memories will serve the real justice.... Super mad they had the nerve to change the vocals
The filmaking is beautiful, and the actress sings well, but I guess this is the wrong timing to do a biopic, and I sense that the true story is not going to be tealled as it should
@@ariescustom It is she, she has been practicing singing in Abbey road studios with a famous producer and vocal coach, which name I don't remember now.
Amy Winehouse was fantastic and it's hilarious how bad this looks. They didn't even try to get someone who looks like Amy. "Yeah fine, put on this wig." Embarrassing.
I know. I knew it was going to be bad from the early press showing it being filmed and the different cast members, but this woeful trailer just confirms my suspicions! Amy would LAUGH at this! 😂
her story needs to be told guys… she’s not being talked about enough. The Temptations had actors that didn’t fit the physical appearance… but we love the movie… let’s just wait for it and see how it goes PLEASEEEEEEE
Unlike many Amy fans, I’m confident this biopic will do her justice. The actress may not look very much so like her but she definitely sounds a lot like her (singing is definitely a mix of both Amy’s and the actress but talking she still sounds like her). The only thing I’m worried about is how they’ll handle her father in this story. Mitch, Amy’s father, is definitely the villain in Amy’s story… but yet he’s still in control of all her assets and this movie. So they’ll probably lie a lot about his part in Amy’s life and make him out to be a lot better than he actually is.
As long as they portray her in a respectful manner i'll give this actress a chance. Amy was very unique, much like Marilyn Monroe many have tried but can't quite duplicate that uniqueness.
I loved the actresses performance in Industry, which is a great show, in my opinion. Im not really sure about this film, but will definitely watch it. Im a big fan of Amy Winehouse, and i hope this film does Amy's legacy justice.
With 2 albums Amy Winehouse had an amazingly deep effect on popular music. This will be interesting to see, esp. after the documentary "Amy" came out in 2015.
It just gives ALL layers of wrong on every level. The timing feels wrong, casting looks horribly wrong, and doesn't give a sliver of the authenticity of the late Winehouse. I'll pass, thanks
I don’t feel like Amy would want a biopic kinda film made about her. She always seemed really quite shy, like when she wasn’t on the stage, yes she was very troubled but I think she probably wished she could enjoy both music and privacy. Rest in peace Amy. ❤️
Anyone who's seen AMY knows her story is one of an extraordinarily talented human who was exploited beyond belief by everyone around her. So what do they do? Exploit her even after death by making a shallow biopic with the same formula of Respect, Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody, Get on Up, One Love, I Wanna Dance with Somebody etc. I mean they even take the lazy approach of just naming the movie after a recognizeable song
Amy would have hated this film about her life. She doesn’t seems like Amy: Amy was so natural and honest and anyone can imitate her. I hope that this film can represent at least the 1% of her personality, i hope. Amy was only used by her family and husband, she was consumed by them. We can continue to have Amy with us, keep up with her music and continue to grow and age with her and remind her like a star, like a phenomenon that happens once every thousand years❤
These are the right thoughts: we keep her alive listening to her “live” and her songs every day, it was her goal; to transmit her music, she managed before she died and that’s what she wanted. She was, is and will be THE ICON!
