Discovery Kids still publishes the magazines and they have teachers guides that go with them. You can find them on line. I have some on my high school science classroom

Try getting some peel and stick floor tiles to stick on the underside of the rug corners! You can cut them in half into triangles and use 2 tiles total to cover all 4 corners. It should weight the corners down and keep them from rolling up.

Great score on your lap desks and love the colour of the new chair, so pretty. Had to laugh when you asked Alexa to time my Alexa turned on as well , too funny. Thanx again for a great vlog!

Yes, Kids Discover magazine is actually a curriculum now. We just got it for our school. It is awesome. I remember reading those magazines as a kid too. The Kids Discover curriculum comes with a TE and 12-13 magazines, each magazine a different grade level Social Studies topic. The kids read and use the magazine for research and other activities. As a high school science teacher, Generation Genius is wonderful he is the Bill Nye of this generation The videos are very entertaining. That is a good choice. I would also recommend that you check out thewonderofscience.com there are some great resources for inquiry based learning. And if you have not checked it out take a look at the Argument Driven Inquiry series for elementary, right now there is only 3rd and 4th grades but you could still use them in 5th. They are on the Argument Driven Inquiry website. Have a great school year. Your kids are very lucky to have a fabulous room and an amazing teacher to see each day
