1:35 Alright, from the get go, this... This cutscene with voice acting fucking threw me for a loop, I _know_ there's actual VA and not old gen MH gibberish now but... My running theory is that they just put this color pattern as placeholders and forgot to make sure nothing screwy happened on that end. Also alas I don't remember the exact patterns for which egg is which monstie, because fun fact, in MHS1 _almost every monstie had multiple patterns._ Yes, farming was a bit of a pain without a guide back then. 14:59 That was _not_ in the original. And while it does show the start of the stakes with this evil mist and set up Cheval's character arc as well as killing a character who was established essentially carrying a pile of red shirts to the laundry, what gets me hyped is _MULTIPLE SAVE FILES, YEAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!_ Seriously though, OG MHS1 had one save file and you had to deal with that. 29:55 Yeah, he's... Like, this game takes place five years before the second, and Lillia and Cheval are like 18 by the events of MHS2. 32:38 Oh, right, back in MHS1 the term Monstie was a Hakum village term only iirc, like, no other Rider village used that word _specifically_ because that was something Dan had come up with. 37:53 Yeah, eggs have IVs in this game and that's how you see them. Well the story of the First don't connect to the 2nd, but the some characters do. Like Cheval and Lilia and Reverto. So separate stories, but some characters make an appearence :3

More of an hd remaster with a bit of extra content. Not to mention some of the MHS2 voice cast returning to voice their respective characters
