There's a famous paradox that scientists use to demonstrate why time travel as imagined in science fiction isn't possible, and it's called the "grandfather paradox". It's based on the concept that if you go back in time and eliminate your grandfather, you can't be born, and therefore you can't go back in time to eliminate your grandfather.

Jennifer had to be recast so they reshot the last scene of part I for continuity for part II. And they had to recast Marty's dad, so between the prosthetics and hamging upside down they were able to get away with it. And it was MJFox playing his own daughter. And give generously to charity with the winnings.

They actually made a limited run of the shoes from this movie. They're called Nike Air Mags and they have the power laces and everything. Unfortunately it was an extremely limited production run so they're crazy expensive.

10:00 the idea is that the future can be rewritten if things happen in the way to change said future. For example: Martie’s child was going to jail because he would have been pressured into committing the crime but what we seen now changed the future by replacing the first event with a new outcome. An apple tree you know existed because you planted the apple branch but if you go back in time and plant a pear tree, history will change and that apple tree becomes a pear tree. What’s interesting and dangerous is that because that change happens, the universe changes with it. Event that happened because of that apple tree will be forever erased from existence and replaced by events effected by that Pear tree. You may not understand it if you don’t think about it but a simple pebble can send a ripple in time and space to potentially cause a land slide. Causality is insane.

Well...if you already know the result of a sport event, it's not really betting. It's investing.

They don't make clever comedy like this anymore. Consider watching Ghost Busters, it's different but simmilar type of fun. Not really scary but it has few moments 😁

I've seen many first time reactions to this movie and no one ever catches the January 1885 time circuits glitch when doc bumps into the billboard. You either know what's gonna happen or a very very good catch.

What's crazy is the Cubs did win the world series, but it was 2016 instead of 2015, but it was against Cleveland. Also there was no Miami team at the time, but one was created a few years later.

I am so glad you listened to me (in my comment after the last one) and stopped the movie before the trailer featuring spoilers for the 3rd movie started. It is really unfortunate that they did that for the home-movie releases. They did it in 1989 to get people excited for the 3rd installment that was a year away, but it was unnecessary. The first one will always be the best. But it is the best trilogy of movies ever made.

the last time i went to vegas i stayed in the Palace hotel which was Biff's towers in this movie

When Biff goes back to 1955 with the Almanac and gives it to himself, when he was 17 years old and old biff goes back to the 'normal' 2015 not the alternative 2015 because Biff doe's not make his fortune until 1958 when he has turned 21 years old, the legal age for gambling in the 1950's. As explained whilst doc is showing Marty the picture of Biff with the Almanac in the newspaper and also during the video at Biff's tower. And maybe he took the car back so that he could enjoy the good life in his later years. Great reactions, please don't wait too long before you watch BTTF 3, you will love it 🙂
