The unsung hero of this band was Malcolm Young (RIP) who co-wrote the songs and played that chunky rhythm guitar riff, so understated. He was Angus' brother and died from dementia.

The Razor's Edge is the twelfth studio album by Australian band AC/DC, released on September 21, 1990. It is the band's only studio album recorded with drummer Chris Slade. The album includes some of the band's most popular songs such as "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks". The album reached number 2 in the US and number 4 in the UK. It has now sold over 5 million copies in the US.

This duck-walking genius is my favorite guitarist of all time! Simply put, NO ONE is more passionate than Angus Friggin' Young! He isn't "playing" the music. He IS THE MUSIC! It flows through him like electricity. And he doesn't give a rip WHAT it looks like! He's going to let that music flow as he lives out the power of the songs on stage! What an absolute pleasure to watch somebody so brilliant! Thank you so much for this reaction!

A little trivia, Angus as a schoolboy just couldn't wait to practice with the band after school so he never went home to change clothes and that is why you see him on stage wearing knickers and his cap, he carried that over to stardom.

Funny thing about Angus - he's actually extremely gentle and plays the guitar quite smoothly. Among rock guitarists, he's known for his buttery smooth application on the frets. You'd never know it from the way he absolutely rocks out. But that's part of why he gets such absolutely clean notes even in his solos. He's very precise, gentle, and smooth on the instrument.

There's only 3 kinds of people in the world. One, people who openly love AC/DC. Two, people who secretly love AC/DC. And three, people who don't like them, because they don't like music, I guess. I said it before, and I'll say it again. AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" came on the radio at work (I work in a kitchen), and an older black woman, my co-worker, someone who is pretty stoic most of the day, except when she's mad, and watch out when she's mad. Anyway, there she was, thinking no one was looking, shaking her bootie to that song. Because, AC/DC.

@@brianezell5790 ...which is why I said the next two records responded to his death. Back in Black(1980), and to a lesser extent, For Those About to Rock(1981) were monster albums that hit #1. Many of the album's songs were in some stage of development when Bon Scott died. Flick of the Switch only made it to #15 and Fly on the Wall #32 before falling. The Razors Edge(1990) was a triumphant comeback at #2 and also returned them to the singles chart for the first time in 9 years.

Hi Jay and Amber, Moneytalks is from their 1990 album The Razors Edge, the dance Angus Young does is called The Duck Walk, he got it from Chuck Berry, Angus was 35 years old here, he's now 66 years old and still performing today with AC /DC, singer Brian Johnson is now 74 years old and also still with the band, as is bassist Cliff Williams, who is now 72 years old 😀😀🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸

In fact, at their show in Birmingham, Alabama on February 2nd, 1991 at BJCC, I caught some of the Money Talks dollar bills that drifted down from high above as I had floor seats, about 15 rows back dead center from stage. And, I still have the dollar bills from the show as well as the ticket stub. Cool to the Max!

Back in 1985, I got to see them 3 times in 4 days. It was the "For Those About to Rock" tour. Thanks for dusting off this "Lost Classic", guys!. It still gets occasional airplay around here, but not nearly as much as the more well known songs. Jay, at one point you rubbed your throat when you heard one of Brian's screeches. I've heard that this song was one that was very difficult for Brian to sing, that's why it was only used during the Razor's Edge tour in 1990-91. Also, the "leg chop" that Angus does is called the Duckwalk, was patterned after the one that Chuck Berry did, who was one of Angus' main inspirations when he was learning how to play. When he flops on the ground, it is called the "Dying Bug". It was almost as common for him to do as the Duckwalk when he was younger. But, Angus is 66 years old now, rarely does it anymore. For a real treat, react to a live video from the 1970's or 80's when Angus would regularly be carried through the crowd on Bon/Brian's shoulders with neither one missing a beat.

So is some of my hearing from the cannons from the closer For Those About To Rock (We Salute You). Also, Angus did a long solo where he ran around the crowd. I followed the spotlight that was on him - it went behind me and my friends, and when I turned around he was 6 inches from my face!

As a teen I had a black 1980 Z/28 I would cruise for hours, t-tops off with an AC-DC Back in Black cassette wearing itself out playing over and over, turning it up as loud as it could go when Rock n Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution came on 🤘🏼🎸🤘🏼you guys should definitely react to Rock n Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution!

AC/DC was the loudest band I've seen live it had my ears ringing for two days. When they play the song "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)" they fire off cannons and I was standing front stage. It was freaking awesome.

The two "drums" you see, one on each side of drummer Chris Slade, are bass drums. Chris wanted to have something unique in the music video Thunderstruck, so he suggested having a bass drum on each side of him for that video. It worked and he kept it and has used them for other songs.

Angus once fell onstage and got caught up in the guitar wires. He didn't know what to do so he just ran around in circles, as it were. His sister loved it and suggested that he make it a permanent part of the act. She is responsible for the School Boy look Angus sports and she makes the clothes he wears onstage.

If you like the little dance he does you might want to check out singer Chuck Berry. He's the first person I knew who move like that across the stage, Angus must have got it from him. It's like a signature move for the both of them and they both do it so well!😊

Thunderstruck and Moneytalks are both from The Razors Edge album. Fire Your Guns is another banger from that Album. Their latest album was released in 2020. Demon Fire is a banger from that album. I could listen to AC/DC all day, every day!

I went to the razors edge concert, I just remember when this song started playing they dropped thousands of AC/DC notes from the ceiling with Angus young face on them, I've seen them 11 times now first when I was 13 with my older brothers. Such an amazing band they absolutely blow you away at live concerts.

Angus Young birthday is March 31st. In order to celebrate Angus birthday you have to do ( Let There Be Rock )live at River Plate December 2009. When Angus and his brother Malcolm started AC DC Angus asked him what kind of music are they going to play he replied ROCK. If you want a show of Angus playing guitar this one a must . You will love it.

Angus' signature move is a Chuck Berry duck walk, but he did it more often than Chuck. You need to react to my favorite AC/DC song Have a Drink on Me. It's the Bon Scott death song from the Black album which was the first with Brian Johnson. Johnson wrote the lyrics in honor of Bon and claims he felt the spirit of Bon when he did.

AC/DC is so tapped in to the root of Rock-N-Roll. They get right down to it and pull out the most basic gut-level rock sounds of pounding drums, bass backing up the drums, and super tough guitar. This time in the band they were going for the big rock anthems. You can totally hear the Chuck Berry in Angus' riffs.
