Backfire Mini is a $699 shortboard with a stunning unibody carbon fiber deck. It is agile and powerful, perfect as an inner-city travel board. The unibody carbon fiber sleek design is not only a beauty to look at, but is stealthy and can pass as a regular shortboard.
Backfire Mini has everything going right for it, everything except it wasn't weatherproof. Water can get in pretty easily to the electronic compartment as it is accessed from the top side of the deck. Other than that, and some tiny quirks in braking, Backfire Mini is pretty perfect. Better than the Boosted Mini as a travel board that's for sure.
