My Zealot S is on its way as well. I researched the hell out of this purchase. I could have purchased my friends V2 used Boosted Board but for $300 more I could not justify spending $500.00 on a used BB when I could buy a fabulous brand new board that appears from all reviews and specs to actually be a better board than anything BB has ever made. I wonder what you guys would have done. The BB has like 200 miles on it and is in good shape.
I'm so scared of breaking the battery plastic, that i never curb hop anything, even though sometimes I feel it, and I know i can do it... I would never forgive myself for breaking my board! lol (wowgo 3x)
It’s all preference, research every board you can and set a good budget, if you’re going low budget then look at stuff like exway, if you’re planning on going off roading, then one wheel, there’s so many options, just research what is right for you!
I’m late to this response but I went with the zealot and couldn’t be happier. The only problem I have is it tells me it’s getting hot or some other warning pretty often, I haven’t figured it out yet or found it anywhere else. But I ride it hard and fast and full throttle acceleration and speed most of the time. Doesn’t seem to be hurting the board or causing issues, I just ride slow once it pops up and then it’s fine again. I couldn’t be happier with it personally. I haven’t drained it all the way yet, but according to the remote I got 11 miles with 25% battery left.
I totally agree that these wheels feel super grippy when sliding or even heavy carving. I previously had a Meepo V3 and found sliding easier with the less grippy wheels of the Meepo compared to the Backfire Zealot. Not sure if that's really better overall as the grippiness definitely adds to the stability most of the time. Nice vid as always!
Look at it like your 50 days closer to getting it, i only ordered mine on Monday so I'm a fair way behind you lol, hope it come soon n let us know how it is
@@SlightlyDazed. Update, 52 days later, still no board 😅 But I suppose I can't be too upset due to the Corona virus and such, shipping companies have to make extra precautions
The Zealot is on my list. Problem is I'm 215lb. But I'm also pushing 50 years old and it will be my first board. Would this be too flexy for me? Any suggestions please?
I really wanted to see that too, wasn’t thinking of getting it, but was trying to get my buddy into this and the board has decent parts for the price... and you could always do a board swap, replace the bushings or front wheels if they aren’t to your liking
This is my second day with my zealot S and I wasn’t confident to pull a slide on a tight turn. I jumped off and my board took a big scrape in the front :( Anyone know it’s durability with impacts against walls? Like how many can I count before my board snaps?
Unfortunately, just due to the nature of impacts/damage, there's no "magic number" for a board. It depends how hard it's getting smacked, how often, impact angle, etc. You can buy stuff to go on the sides/front of the board-like little bumpers, basically. They can help protect against this.
Ohhh it took me a while there to realize you're actually filming yourself with a selfie stick thing lol I thought you were being followed by a camera guy. Then I saw your shadow :D Really cool how it removes the stick from the video. Now they just need to work on removing it also from the shadow and you wouldn't even know.
Are you going to do a board giveaway? Ive been looking for something not to expensive but can't really find much. It would mean alot for you to respond. Thanks for reading and taking time out of your day to make these videos.
Lost interest in eskate for a while and went back regular skating. Thought about rebuilding my rig but did the market fell off a cliff? There used to be so many channels. What's with all the big tires? It's not even a skateboard anymore. How's reliability these days? Still crappy? It seems a lot of folks moved on to other vehicles because I see so few eskaters these days and I live in the big city.
I just pick the board up or roll it off for now. I might get a little more brave with my next board. Right now I only have one, so if I break it I’m screwed with how long it takes to get another.
Hey there, I bought the Ikon edge, which will be delivered on Monday!!!!! Thanks for all your videos, which I have been watching, and which help me decide to get a board.
I had that board and just sold it to my roommate ..the range in it is horrible as you will see ...I only got about 6 miles tops in a full charger on flat smooth bike trails!! And I had it on #1 setting witch was the slowest eco mode
Wow, the board held up pretty well! Great testing. I really appreciate you being honest on camera and showing your fear to do these tricks, makes you look way more human 😂
"A couple of scrapes" it looks like the work of freddie cruger!!!! In all seriousness though the flex needs the deck shape of the Zealot but the flex of the flex. Those damn wheel flares are killing the flex for me into considering this as my no.2. And I ride off curbs but with 7 inch AT's makes it super doable. Maybe wouldn't recommend for chonky riders, could be more risky for the deck but yeah I've never scraped the motors or and damage thus far.
My board snapped at the truck.. never had a board snap like that in my life just from riding over cracks n shit. Weak 600 miles later shes gonna start to get weak
I always use the remote strap but most people I see don't, is there a reason?... Going off kerbs, I tend to lift my bodyweight of the board with a Tiny lift.
@Ronnie Sarmiento do you think it's possible to change the direction of the motor mountings? Like instead of the mortors being in front of the rear truck, it should be behind the rear truck? Like the exway pro riot, for example.
I am still waiting on comparison but I already ordered zealot. I just like that flex and lights. Still want to watch video so I can make my mind and if I want to cancel it before it get shipped out.
Hey Ronnie! Been loving watching your videos while switching from a boosted board. If you had to choose, would you pick the Zealot or the exWay flex? Also, what’s your #1 go to board for daily riding? Thanks!
@@user-ne4vg5up7z yeah, I ended up buying the zealot about a year ago…. Love it! I would have gone crazy with the lower range of the exway flex. I also like the flexier deck, deck is also wider which is really good for me since I have big feet. Saw a lot more posts of people having issues with the flex compared to zealot as well….
I usually get off and walk it sometime I want to try that but I had a bad accident two weeks ago which took me out of work for a whole week and had to get some stitches and fractured cheek bone and broke nose and couldn’t really move my left arm at all
i dont hear the belt sound while i hear the wheels on the road (i never had belt drive) i was expecting its much much louder, like a hair dryer, is there any audio post-processing for it?
