Cool effects, I love the finished results. I'm more ghetto, I place a leaf on a piece of clear plastic, then place it atop a lampshade with an LED bulb. Fire that sucker up and if it's a thin leaf it gets nicely backlit. I just wish my tripod had one of those boom arms on it so the legs don't hit the lampshade...

Another great video Stewart! Wanted to share a tip I figured out for cushioning stems and stuff with the alligator clip. Just take a plastic drinking straw and cut it short and stick the stem in it. This works most of the time for me unless the stem is REALLY delicate which isn’t too often. They sell “smoothie straws” now that are wider and have thicker plastic too so those might be good for thicker sticks and whatnot.

Cool post, Stewart! Photos of leaf edges my fav - serration adds interest, in my opinion. Do you have any critters that would much on the edges? Good tip about cushioning alligator clip. Hope things went and go OK for dental work - no fun, but outcomes hopefully will be worth it.

Firstly I thought your video was ace! (Hark at me using words like 'ace'! I'm 47 for goodness sake!) Secondly, I've just been on the 'Adaptalux' website. I sincerely hope they didn't hear me three doors away when I shouted "HOW MUCH??! at the top of my voice! I think I'll stick to using the lighting I currently use! LOL

Hi Stewart Different style of Photo and using the light system, When you do the focusing does your camera have a moveable focus point, if so you might find it easier just to move it around especially if you are doing focus stacking, I think this way saves any movement on the camera, along with a focus rail, good luck with the Teeth. It's does but I find it focus hunts alot so I prefer manual focus.

Thank you for the video. Perhaps could Adapalux send me a system to play with? I made a DIY system with usb LEDS and flash gels. Nothing pretty but it works for us poor folk.n
