I once punched Davey in the face during a Powerhouse pit at the Gilman. We were both dancing and my fist met his face. Super nice guy and never missed a beat.
man i love very proud of ya, i love all afi albums, but that was the 1st afi album i heard of theirs and the one that made me fall in love with their music! black sails is my favorite afi album, but this one was badass, fast, energetic punk rock!
@@alexmohr1072 false blood tour he did he who laughs last crash love tour did nyquil and love is a many splendored thing vocal surgery was after sing the sorrow hell he even pulled out coin return and many more goodies including one of my personal favorites midnight sun from bsits
Wake Up Call is awesome. But the song with the lyrics 'Throw (throw) me (me) away' is File 13. One of the best songs on the album and one of the best songs AFI have ever done.
oxrjbizzle1984y Haha awesome! Yeah for sure, File 13 rocks. This album has so many good tracks on it. Probably my favourite AFI record along with Black Sails in the Sunset.
0:23 feb 11 2021 i thankyou for putting all 27 songs.... i just listened to my proud of ya cd yesterday playing call of duty people asking really thats afi?? Lol amebix butt flap throwback sentence
UM. What songs would you possibly cut from that album?! MAYBE Crop Tub, but even that as the worst track, is still damn good. It's only about a 30 minute album! It wrecks shop from start to finish. Perfect album. Although Answer That was just as good at half the tracks so... I can see why they might feel that way.
Adam says they recorded 27 songs... I only count 24 including the "No Dave Party" pre-gap song and the three bonus vinyl tracks. If anyone knows all 27 could they send me a list?
I remember reading they ran out of money to do vocals for every song and a few were never finished. It's a shame, as I'm sure anything in the way of melodies or lyrics for those songs are long gone and we'll never hear them as they were meant to be. "No Dave Party" was one of the songs that was meant to have vocals but wound up without, but I guess they liked it enough as is and maybe liked the idea of having Davey's dad on a song, too (he plays guitar on the track).
I was really hoping by watching all these that I would have received some incite as to why everything after art of drowning was total shit still have a hard time understanding if they would have just stopped making music they might not have made much money but would have went down in history as one of the greatest punk rock bands to ever live we would all talk about afi like we do the cure sex pistols and misfits instead everyone now has mixed feelings
Ryan Kinney I like it way more than Answer That, Shut Your Mouth, and Burials. But you're probably lacking in good taste so it makes sense that you don't like it.
Ehhhhh. Adam's assertion that it would've been better as a twelve or fourteen-track album is right on. A bit too much filler, and a few of the better songs were relegated to vinyl bonus tracks, which sucks. It's a good album that could've had some of the uh lesser songs axed or put out elsewhere. Even in terms of early AFI, I might still prefer _Answer That and Stay Fashionable._
