My battery is/was in completely the opposite of that -- with the smooth/bottom part to the outside. A real pain in the ass to remove, until I remembered the magic words: Duct Tape.
When the power to my garage went out, the garage door would not open. When the GFI was reset, the service tone beep. Is this just a dead battery that needs to be replaced?
I have the same Lift Master as the one in the video, anybody know the model number? I can't find it on mine and need it to purchase a battery. Also, can the beeping sound be turned off?
marini11 the opener in the video is a LiftMaster 8550. If you would like to shut the beeping off, unplug the opener first, then take the terminals off of the battery and remove it. Plug the opener back in and it will stop beeping.
