Plus, Erin got almost promoted to apprentice. So that's working. I was a mechanic for 22 years - well, a professional mechanic. I've actually turned wrenches since 1973, when I joined the Navy (helicopters). My now late wife, who was pretty handy, especially around the house, thought she hit the mother lode when she married me. No, not me; my tools. It was a kind of cupboard love. Toolbox love, maybe. I would find my tools everywhere. Especially my pry bars. I offered to buy her her own pry bars, but she'd say "Why? I've got yours." Oh, and Ms. "We need to be sure and put everything back where we got it so we know where things are when we need them" never put my tools back. I recognize passive-aggressive behavior when I see it. I should have bought her a big toolbox with a bunch of tools in it. Naw, she'd probably keep hers pristine and still borrow mine. She did love me more than I loved her. Clearly she had no taste in men. Then again, all my friends loved her more than they loved me, so there's that. I miss that girl.

It is sooooo important to this process that Josh is an electrician. Of course it's Most important that Erin is there to keep Josh in line!😝

Knowing that the two of you have been able to do so much of the work for yourselves! Especially the electrical and the interior repairs. I may be the only one but I'd love knowing the cost savings by not having to hire out a few or maybe all of the major projects.😅 Josh from start of channel has been a real asset to the professionals in the building trades especially being a trusted electrician. Josh always wires up the most impressively organized electrical panels I've ever seen. It's on par with a computerized CPU production. A definite eye for craftsmanship.

I’ve noticed that the inspectors all have commented on how well Josh did with all the wiring. They all have said you did it the way it’s supposed to be. Good job Josh and Erin. Course after a couple more espresso shots, Josh is going to be wired 😂😂 Man everything is looking so great! Once you get your Cafe done are you planning on another project? I know you both need a break, but I love all the work you do.

Today is our 49th wedding anniversary. I have been the electrician's assistant through eight home remodels. It wasn't easy the last couple times with the old rock and roller being half deaf. But we managed. I'm feeling for Erin though.

That’s a pretty panel. I used to do shipboard electrical and we took pride in how we did our panel and I would put my name on your panel.

Once again I have to say how Josh does electrical architecture and tie ins... so neat so clean... ive seen new homes with wiring that looks so messy... but Josh's always looks neat...clean...well thought out for inside and out...I always enjoy following his electrical work! Also love Erin's work as well!

Our family feels for you, we owned/operated a Pizza Restaurant and 2 yrs in, the building sold out from under us (we chose not to buy it) this forced us to find a new location (unfortunately we didn't have the cash to buy a building) hard to find in a small "ghost town" that has some condemned buildings in it. But we persevered and found a location where the owner was happy to have us - we renovated the building (including an apartment for our family to live in - meant 0 commute!) and we prospered over the next 10 years. Running a restaurant is HARD WORK! Our boys were 13, 13, and 15 when we started our restaurant adventures. We worked together as a family until they all grew up and left home. My husband and I ran it by ourselves the last 3 yrs until we just finally said, its time to retire. So we sold it 18 months ago. WHEW, that chapter is now passed us. As a family, we learned a heck of a lot about carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, texturing, painting, tiling, finish work, ventilation systems, etc. to go along with our food service experience! Wishing you success in your endeavors!!! We've certainly been there and done that. Its interesting because, our son who helped the electrician do all the wiring, is now in an Electrical Apprenticeship -- so over the years its been fun watching all the work Josh, your electrician does!

A good coffee is essential to start the day!

Years ago I made a little tool for feeding the fish tape into the electrical panel. It was a curved piece of plastic that attaches to the end of the conduit so that when you enter the panel with a fish tape it directs it out and away from the buss bars of the panel. I also came up with a remote controlled wire cart with a built in remote controlled feeder system for solo wire pulling.

I want for my wife and I do a road trip from Texas up the east coast in the fall hopefully next year and stop in West Virginia stay at you BNB and eat at your cafe!

When you finished your A frame house a while ago, I was happy to see it done, but at the same time sad to see your construction videos end. Guys, I trained as an Electrician in the UK years ago and I am splitting my sides here watching the new electrical foreman being trained as an apprentice and the correct technic for feeding the cabling in time with the cable pulling guy....................1,2,3.......feed........LMAO. Brilliant. Josh despite a slight difference in terminology and the split phase system for 240v I am amazed how similar our systems and install methods are. Go caffeine go. Dave
