I'm a Bowtech person myself. With that said, I've shot the Elite bows and these bows are beautiful! Your seeing them more and more on the professional shoot offs! Like Bowtech, I live there technology and what they are doing!!!! Mathews does remarkable marketing over everyone! The trade off thou is more money in technology versus marketing! I'll stick with technology any day.
Great review. I bought the Basin in September and love it. Elite then comes out with the Omnia. After seeing the release video from Elite and after watching your review I went out to my local Elite dealer (from whom I bought the Basin) last weekend (December 17) and demoed the Omnia. 2 hours later I walked out with the Omnia. This bow blew away anything I have ever shot. I love this bow and with all the tune ability the Omnia offers I will be shooting this bow for years to come.
@@BackyardBows Agreed. When I bought the basin I got the RTH package that came with all the accessories from CBE for it. Great shooter right out of the gate. Best “budget” but not budget shooting bow I have ever bought.
I always say I’ll be shooting my elite for years to come then they come out with a bow that’s better then what I have and I end up with a new bow lol. It’s a yearly battle
Definitely my favorite bow review channel on YT. Just an average guy with no dog in the fight. They all start out good like this. What I would like to see is a comparison between the speed mods and comfort mods that are available for the Elite bows. Word on the street is that you drop 8-9fps going to the comfort mods but that should increase your all day shooting comfort. And for me, that’s what I come to Elite for, if I wanted a speed bow, I’d go somewhere else. Either way, those arrow speed numbers are damn impressive. I shoot 29.5”, 70lbs and a 495gn arrow so those numbers are pretty close to what I’d be getting
Prolly exactly the same numbers and I actually would like to see that as also let me try and order some, I shoot my bow so much that was the only down side for me personally was it was hard to shoot a lot on a row
@backyardbows thanks for the review! I just got the same exact color and bow New Heavily Discounted from a Dealer online. 850 with shipping! Currently own a PSE Mach 34, Hoyt Carbon RX4 Turbo ( shot only 20 times and for sale), PSE NXT 33 Dudley model and a Bowtech Realm. Looking forward to this bow more than any I have purchased in a long time.
JUST bought a Terrain 2 weeks ago. It's my first move away from Bear in almost 20yrs. I shot the Terrain, Drive NXT, Amplify, Torrex, and WT Pro, left with the Elite. Waiting for my local dealer to get an Omnia on the shelf so I can go shoot it. May pass the Terrain down to my son after this season and nab up one of these.
@@BackyardBows More than happy to offer mine up for a review if you havent already bought one. It certainly doesnt feel much like a budget offering, I dont have much of a stable to compare to though. After shooting the 5 bows back to back I definitely noticed a quality and "feel" difference. It just felt good. I am going to look at the Omnia this week.....may snip one up as the Terrain has got me excited about shooting again and the Omnia would only pour fuel on the fire. Looking into leagues now.
1st 🤔 - Elite Omnia vs PSE Omen, sounds like you might have liked this draw cycle better with slightly better speed, 4-6fps. Some of the IBO calculators would make the Omnia effectively a 360 ibo at 70.3lbs DW, 29.5" DL and 500grn arrow. Omnia vs Enkore, looked like a 17-20fps bump in speed but at a cost of comfort over a volume of shots. Impressive that Elite has a speed bow that does so well with a 500grn arrow and has so mamy positive reviews about draw feel. Thanks for the great videos. 👍
I also feel like a lot of companies wouldn't have put that quarter increment on a honeycoat they would keep that for their top of the line flagship Target Rig But also so did hoyt
My 2, 3 & 4 bows were Elite ( Century, Option 6, then "The Ritual" which I still Love). Im currently running the "bowtech solution" but am thirsty for my next Elite. For years my fellow archers were skeptical about Elite but I never understood why. From my 1st to my current they have been stand out to me.
Great review!! Bought an Enkore last year and ended up with a lemon after 3 month wait… Had a very bad left tear (left handed) so I sent it back to the dealer and they shimmed the cam, change limb deflection, took the SET appart as per Elite tech advice. They gave it back to me and said « it’s far to be perfect but it’s better and did everything we can do ». Was really disappointed, was hoping they could trade the bow for another Enkore, but they offered nothing, so ended up selling it at a low price to someone who dont care about tuning… I am sure they are great bow but I feel their customer service letted me down on that one. No more Elites for me 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for sharing your experience, did they manage to correct the left tear, there are so many companies that would have just swapped u out, that would have been frustrating
@@BackyardBows no they never been able to get rid of it… very frustrating and long process. Switched to a Mathews V3 and was very easy to setup. Will probably switch to Bowtech this year🤟🏻
Outstanding Review as Usual 👌 So are you telling me that the Shot Cycle with the Omnia is better than the Sexy Bow Beast SR350 ?? 🤨 Be vewy vewy caweful answering that question sir !!! 😉 I had a 'minor' accident in August on a 3D Course - I Blew Her Up - didn't check my arrow, and Kablooie !!! Fortunately nobody was hurt. Cams were a crooked as a question mark and the strings were toast. But we have the Technology so I rebuilt her: Better, Faster, Stronger !!!; Now ====> The **'SEXY BIONIC BOW BEAST' !!!** Just PUNISHING X's at 30 and 40 Yards and Pie Plate-ing at 110. Gonna take the Omnia for a TEST DRIVE Saturday (Hopefully). Love the Micro Adjust Draw Length and Let-Off, also the Limb Stop option; the only advantages of it vs Sexy Rachael; Tune-ability is a Wash with the Deadlock Technology and I do favor the 33" ATA vs 32" with The Omnia. (ps. I do own an Elite Impulse 31 - The Draw Cycle is "Unique" Lols - I LOVE THE WAY IT SUCKS !!, not Joking. There's another Elephant in the Room - Elite's 'Notoriously' Atrocious Customer Support - What's Up With That ?? 😕 I'll give her a more than Fair evaluation. I'll report back. Keep'em Comin 👍
You just put me over the edge. I've been researching on what bow to bow next year. This is it. Ive been a mazhews guy since I started bow hunting but I'm making the jump!!
Put in the field several weeks ago and did not disappoint, absolutely loved the omnia, if elite advertised like Mathews it would be the top bow of the year
@@BackyardBows I HAVE THE OMNIA,( JUST GOT LAST THURSDAY. ) I'VE SHOT THE ERA. WITH PERFORMANCE MOD THEY ARE VERY STIFF FOR ME @70. I ACTUALLY HAD TO BACK OFF TWO TURNS TO BE COMORTABLE. NO WHERE THE EASE OF AN RX7 ULTRA. I DID DO A SIDE BY WITH THE RX7. HBX PRO CAM WAS SMOOTHER DRA FOR ME PERSONNALY ( PULLED 72# ) AS EASY AS THE ERA. MY bUDDIES THAT SHOT THE ERA WITH COMFORT MODS SAID NIGHT AND DAY IN THE DRAW. I'LL BE NTERESTED TO SEE YOUR REVIEW. LOVE THE HONEST DOWN TO EARTH REVIEWS.
@@troygruber8325 Easy on the "CAPS LOCK". Loved everything about the RX-7 Ultra until I chrony'd it; Back calculated IBO - from Draw Wt & Arrow Wt, it's = 315 !! I'm not a speed freak, but a Hard ====> NO !!! Hope it helps, John
Another question and concern???? Since you torque down on the bow limb( so to speak) , which what I understand is the bow limb changes in positioning to tune for your bullet holes, what does it do to the limb afterwards???? Like Bowtech the actual cam moves left or right with out torquing the limb unless I don't understand????? Thanks
Wound up getting an Omnia, passed the Terrain down to my son as said would probably happen. Shoots great, FAST, quiet, holds really nice. It's everything the EnVision should have been (it's still a nice bow too). Only issue Im having is the LTR is set WAY right causing the cable to rub on the cam when I draw. I may try to get everything back to center and start over with tuning.
How's this bow compare to the option 6? I shoot an option 6 also an elite xxl and a pure. I have Mathews wake and a try 7. All of my eleit bows shoot niver than the Mathews. The option 6 does brake over harder than Mathews bows but is much more solid at the shot
really like elite, I had the Revol, Revol XL, Echelon 39, and now a Rezult 38, missing a slightly smaller "do it all" bow 3d, TAC, hunting........ I am tall (6'3") with a long 30 3/4 draw and prefer less extreme string angle so I am thinking about pulling the trigger on an Athens Vista 35 but the Omnia looks like a great bow. The day after I order the Athens Im sure Elite will announce 35/36" bows LOL
Alot of people including me have the cables rubbing against the mods/cam top and bottom I had to shim mine with 2 thin shims on left and two thick on right now it's awesome and no cable rubbing
@@BackyardBows if you email elite they updated the tune instructions saying this and if the moving of shims didn't help then they recommend as a last option to swap limbs opposite side
Love your bow reviews man! Much appreciated! I watched your review on the SS 34 and asked you about it for guys like me with a shorter draw length. I’m around 26”-26.5” and you had mentioned checking out the CP 30. How would you rate this bow for the shorter draw length crowd? I know it’s 2” longer than the CP 30, but with a 6” brace height and the insane speeds coming out of this bow? Your thoughts???
Shorter draw length it would definitely help make up some fps, draw was stiff at my poundage and length I would recommend seeing how it feels at a shorter draw length
Have one ordered, you said you went to 30 and added an extra 1/4 inch? Was it possible to go beyond 30? I am a 30 to 30.5 draw length and am a little worried it will be a touch short but am hoping maxing out let-off gets me that last bit of length I need.
My only hesitation is with all of those adjustments would be easier for the bow to come out of wack after shooting maybe one of those screws comes lose or something
They are honestly weirdly similar in performance, specs, speed, and feel. If you like tuning your own bow I would choose the omnia. If you like the best quality money can buy I would go vtm
Yes louder than the other elites but i don’t think it factors in to much with hunting, I tagged two deer with it this season one at 25-30 yards the other at 45 and it hammered
@@BackyardBows Thanks, WOW two deer! I cant wait to shoot it. I am deployed now with Army. I have an old Z28 Elite and really love it, but you know the upgrade would be soo good!
Love your stuff sir! So Omnia over Envision for hunting you figure? I’ve only ever owned one bow. It’s a 2011 Diamond Outlaw. Been fortunate to harvest everything from deer to bear to cougar to moose and elk. Want to upgrade and now think I’m going after an elite. Thoughts? Please keep these great videos coming.
Man I got a ventum pro 30 and it fits me great! Good back wall but a little stiff, completely dead in hand. I think the elites have a better draw cycle, I shot the v3x and I think it's a good shooting bow but not the most comfortable out there. Good luck!
Going all out for the first bow, I would say if you havnt yet shoot all of them, what a great year to get into bowhunting, also so many factors to be considered before I could recommend one of these over another
Please take my advice. Please factor in the cost of a $250 release, damn good arrows and broadheads, and GET A COACH! Archery is a discipline. Equipment, form, and mental control are the main factors. To increase precision (meaning the group size) get a bow that fits you perfectly (a good coach will help tremendously with that), learn to handload your own arrows (it's very similar to handloading rifle ammo), and gain mental control of your shot. Best of luck!
Thank you all for the input! Yes, I kept $ and bow gear in mind. I actually spent a few days at different shops trying budget bows until I shot the flagships, and that's when I decided to just spend the extra now from how much better they shoot imo. Waiting to try the Omnia and Sr350 before I can make a final decision. Thanks again!
@@jerryberkel8421 heartland bow shop is the best elite shop around, summit archery good for Mathews- Hoyt- and Bowtech, Denny Dennis always has bear archery in stock
Seems like bows companies are releasing year around, just like anything a brand new bow can be expensive, sometimes shops will have a few left over from last year or even year before which u can get a brand new bow for a discount
Being a Elite dealer, I’m pleasantly surprised Elite has come out with a bow with faster speeds. Short DL archers will definitely benefit. Always a solid company to do business with .. Great job Elite!!
@@martypopeye8236 So I bought the omnia and own an sr6 which is close to a solution now. I like my bowtech better, but I've had 2 limbs delaminate on it. Covered under warranty but I'm keeping the elite for backup if it wasn't for the limbs not giving me confidence I'd have 2 bowtechs
So I bought the omnia and own an sr6 which is close. I like my sr6 better. Not by a lot but I like the bowtech better. But I've had 2 limbs delaminate on the bowtech so that worries me enough to have a backup .
I find hoyt and Mathews bows arw priced a little holywood little to much for the name because of who is shooting them and if you follow thier career they shot just as good with other companies. Which dont make the bows worth as much as they are charging. Yes they are nice but when other companies can make similar products for almost half the price kinda lets you know that the machining is not what your paying for.
I always said elite run a hair short I even gave myself a quarter inch putting me at 301/4 maybe I should have just given myself the half, I do like a slight bend guess that’s just preference
Curious how you would evaluate Matt Stutan’s form, the armless archer? Repeating is the number one thing in archery. If you aren’t familiar with him, google him. If he shoots comfortably this way and he can repeat it, that’s the most important thing to remember.
@@nathanbrooks4324 well, it is obvious his bow is bent a little more than needed and when he draws he brings everything back so maybe to get better peep alignment. But, like EVERYONE KNOWS- it’s whatever you can repeat shot after shot. IMO
@@timbow50 then why didn’t you say at the end of all you were commenting, “but hey, if this is how you shoot the best, keep perfecting”? I’m sure you realize that possibly the best archer in the country right now, Kyle Douglas, collapses his bow shoulder into his body when he shoots? And that Chris Perkins, who is an unbelievable accomplished professional archer, shoots at least 1.5” longer than he should for that perfect T-shape form? You probably should’ve asked backyard bows if he has had an injury in the past that hurts his arm/shoulder/back? Look at the widespread significantly different forms used at a world archery event and it becomes very obvious the only right way is the way you can repeat the most consistently. Hope you have a great day Tim!
Crazy cause elite bow Tech them too there have ever been like a big recognized name you can recognize the name in the sport I mean they have but they haven't it's always been Matthew's PSE or oink now votech and elite are out doing the other Companies it's kind of crazy
