It's a killer lens, but I sold it three times! The reason why is simple, it's not just big, but front heavy. And the focus is rather slow. So while it is a versatile lens and can be used as a general purpose tele, you really need to know you will use it for macro when packing it in a kit to justify it over e.g. the 90mm or much more versatile 50-140 and some extension tubes. It's great for garden use, but after the honeymoon period, I just found it took the space and weight of two lenses un in my bag and I stopped taking it anywhere. And I already have too many occasional use lenses! Tubes on the 56, 90, 50-140 is a great alternative. Even with the x-t3 I found the new 23mm LM 1.4 works well as you generally don't need to stack even wide open, still get Insanely sharp images with smooth bokeh used close to the subject, and can crop a lot and retain that - even more on the x-t5. I really want to love the lens, and I do, I just can't live with it!
