When I was growing up almost everyone had backyard gardens because people actually had backyards . Now builders are making it harder with packing in homes on small lots.

I'm so happy that you're happy! You're my role model for growing my dream garden. I didn't know that I need flowers to attract bees. It makes sense why my peppers aren't growing as fast as I wanted. And it's a great idea to have the tomatoes hang down. I'm going to try that.

Yup, you'll notice your peppers start off as flowers first. Most vegetable plants need bees and backyard gardens can really help to save our bee population.

Beautiful! The potatoes that you have can be split into multiple potato seeds. If you have a potato with 3+ root knobs on it, you can cut it (at least one big knob or two per cutting), let it dry for a few days (until the cut side dries), and then have even more to plant!

Loved the video! Do you ever get any critters that eat up your garden?! I had a few plants that were uncovered (hot peppers and strawberry plants, both just beginning to grow) and the squirrels ruined the whole plant! I noticed you don’t have any wiring around your plots, any tricks? Thank youuuu

I live in Germany but I also want to start gardening and planting some vegetables but the weather in Germany is so weird like everyday it can rain and the next minute the sun shines and so on. Awesome gardening tour and tips! I am excited to try gardening and experiment. I am curious if planting bell pepper seed pod will grow a lot of peppers. I want to grow bell peppers, garlic, snap peas, and brocolli.

In my experience, you should plant more than one pod. You’ll get maybe 6- 10 peppers per plant.

Hi Carrie! Love your videos by the way! But I have a question, did you get your pumpkin plant from the store? I’m asking bc I’ve grown pumpkins in my garden before and that doesn’t look like a pumpkin plant. Typically, pumpkins have broad leaves and grow like a zucchini or squash. That one looks more of a tomato plant. But your garden looks beautiful and keep doing what you’re doing!

Just a heads up, beans transplant TERRIBLY! It almost always will kill them, they hate their roots being disrupted! You may have better luck long term moving your peas or cukes❤️🌿

I just got into gardening. I have a zucchini plant that has massive leaves and thick stems. It has a few flowers but I haven’t noticed anything else. Do you remember how long it took before you started seeing vegetable growth on yours?

Hmm.. maybe 2 months to start really producing. Give it time. Do you have flowers around? Bringing in bees helps a lot.

You might want to add a fertilizer higher in phosphorus, the middle number in the NPK ratio. 💕 it helped my veggies get more flowers ☺️

I know I sound ridiculous but I’m worried about grubs and other bugs or vermin/mice around my garden which is why I’ve held off from making one outside. Any advice to get over this fear? I just have herbs growing inside. I’d like to get some other veggies going but I’m afraid of what I’ll find outside 😭😭😭. Ugh 😑.

It’s a given that you’ll find some bugs and bugs but depending where you love, mice like to stay away from people and tend to keep their distance from areas you spend more time. I’m a strong believer in embracing that fear but going for it anyways. The more you try it out, the more comfortable you’ll feel.
