koonami is currently working on releasing the entirety of the metal gear solid main games for pc. metal gear master collection volume 1` is already out for pc. they have already stated there will be a volume 2. and it pretty much garaunteed mgs4 will be a part of it.
@@cobraking9472 It took me years to understand what the hardcore nerds were bickering about, but Snake's Smash model is actually Big Boss's head. Solid Snake and Big Boss actually have different faces. I never considered it because I figured the graphics changed for each game. Compare MGS4 Young Snake no bandana to MGS2 Pliskin. It's spot on, the same.
@@JustGarbo14 Even MGR has a message about how being a cool badass soldier in the field will never truly make you a cool badass soldier in the inside. But still, cool badass soldiers are still cool badass soldiers.
I think how Snake is old is kinda integral to the plot. I think having him young and less mindful of his own mortality would make it less interesting for me. Him having no out and knowing he's going to die, either to the mission or his genetics is kinda part of the tragedy. Especially with the microwave scene, cause an old man (I know he's in his 40s, but physically in his 70s) subjecting himself to that kind of pain is crazy if it wasn't for the fact he'd already accepted that he doesn't have his health to worry about. Act 5's briefing really drove that point in, and the fact that Snake's an old grumpy fuck throughout the game towards everyone around him is just fun to watch.
@@Regginyxkinda..? him being old is the game lol, things are harder for him because he's old as shit, he can't move like he used to, and his smoking's catching up to him. there is no mgs4 with younger snake
@@Regginyxit also serves the purpose of showing the neckbreak-fast development of the war economy and its effects on war itself - the very intro to the game talking about the total shift of warfare, meaning that snake (and by playing as him, the player) finds himself wholly alienated and "behind" in a world he used to rule - behind in every sense of the word, including physically, which adds to the tragedy of snake beginning to see himself as nothing more than a weapon the world should be rid of - he's an old gun, forced to fight again, in a war that's become bigger than him, even while actively dying, because war is all he's ever known, and the gameplay shifts (and his own age shift) from the prior solid games make his struggle and alienation the player's as well
Anyone else think the warzone section was too short? Then again most of the game was cutscenes. But still 10 out of 10! Wish there could have been dlc about raiden infiltrating area 51 to rescue sunny and see how he gets turned into a cyborg then have snake rescue him and sunny.
The word DLC is garbage. Why do you think Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 Twin Snakes, 4, etc were full packages. Hideo wasn’t there to scam us out of money. The Substance and Subsistance games are NOT dlc. It’s way more than that so warrants the purchase. I hate that the world is becoming more and more like MGS2. A lot of the themes are unravelling at a wild pace today.
@@Jonathan-Shadowdlc wasnt seen the same as it is now. DLC started getting hate when ES: oblivion sold horse armor, but even then dlc was a good thing for a long time before MTX took the spotlight. DLC back then had heart, and were genuine expansions during the 360/ps3 era. This arguement only really applies to modern gaming
@@sethyork1164 I think the first DLC that started going mainstream was Burnout Paradise on PS3. I believe it was one of the first games to feature trophies as well. Anyways it’s great that MGS4 didn’t have any tacked on rubbish. People are changing, companies are people and idiots are lapping up this crap left right and centre. I played CS1.5 and 1.6 and Source. When the box and key system was released for CSGO it just didn’t make sense to me. Most people are neurotypical anyway. I’ve given up on trying to explain and deal with them. Just keep to myself and draw.
Ignoring the angry guy, that story you mentioned was apparently going to be what MGRR was originally going to be about. It was originally going to bridge the gap between MGS2 Raiden and MGS4 Raiden and was going to be darker than what we got.
No, Johnny here is shown to have a habit of skipping things. He skipped out on the nanomachines injections, which is why he is unaffected. Even tho that may sound like a good thing, in the games he usually messes hints up because of this trait.
I understand snake looks old in mgs4 for plot reasons, but I wish we had one more game of him looking young/middle aged. If you think about it you only really see snake in good graphics in mgs2 but most of the time you are playing as raiden.
The only problem i had with the game was the MGS4 tagline "no where to hide", and a fan theory was a dyanmic environment; i liked the idea of a sandbox battlefield, and something like gekkos or artillery blowing away buildings, losing hiding places
What surface gives this camo color? I have never been able to find this shade of blue without it having a weird surface texture of some sort, like snow
I love metal gear so much. In fact, I'm working on my own interactive RU-vid series with my own character based on some of the visuals in story styles cinematic scenes myself 🙂. So far I have two episodes.
No. That is his natural lifespan, it would have also happened to liquid and it was happening to Solidus as well before both of their lives were cut even shorter. It was done as a protection to the Patriots (or rather their AI computer developed by Signit after Zero got infected with the parasites from mgs5 and said "fuck it " I am hiding for the rest of my days and letting these computers be the successor of Cipher/ the Patriots to do my dirty work) an organization should any of them rebel or otherwise fall to their enemies hands. That just shows how op the snakes are, just 1 of them was enough of a threat to the Patriots.
I'm not interested in the first collection but I hope when this come to PC it's a good port because this is a brilliant game even if it was in chapters. Isn't this were Liquid switches off Thier Nano machines and the soldiers see the atrocities they commited because the nano supressed what they did, it's why in MGS1 Liquid was after a cure for the genome soldiers
Hopefully it will come to PC but its exclusive to ps3 and it was notorious to develop for and it will be a chore to transfer it to other systems. We could ger lucky for it could be on MGS Master Collection Vol. 2 or even Vol. 3 fingers crossed 🤞
@AToH Project pp was meant to be the end of the franchise so I doubt that kojima gave a f*ck about making it as good as the others (it's still a good game, look at the reviews) I think he was more thinking of finally getting to leave Konami after he finished it.
Here 2020 watching this after hearing the government say we need to get as many people vaccinated for Covid as possible as fast as possible......... no thanks. I know how that goes
The most bullshit Metal Gear Solid 4 scene that's not how real life work clowns MGS should be a realistic game not a clown bullshit like a bee guy and fat boy and scene like this one.
@@Kelek0400 So MGS is all about bee guy and clowns and fat boy ? bro first of all did you go to the army ? you don't know anything about guns or army or how they work and how the real life work MGS should be like ghost recon and splinter cell black list.
