Mark Aguirre is respected in Chicago as well. Grew up there (as did Isaiah) and played on the Depaul (in Chicago) team that lost by two to Bird’s ISU team in the Final Four. His teammate was Gary Garland-Dionne Warwick’s godson and Whitney Houston’s half-brother. Number 1 pick in his draft, and I think Isaiah went behind him, followed by Cartright to the Bulls.

I respect all of the players on both teams. But, Isaiah was the Captain and leader of the team and he gave his permission for everything that the players did. And he is hypocritical and sneaky to claim innocence and say that his teammates did those things on their own. He just wanted to keep his hands clean and keep his good guy image intact. The opponents came to him about the behavior of the pistons because as captain, he sets the example for his team and disciplines his teammates. Michael determined the behavior of the Bulls. Magic determined the behavior of the Lakers. Larry Bird determined the behavior of the Celtics. Patrick Ewing determined the behavior of the Knicks.
