As you all know i've been unboxing and reviewing these Tiny Tales cages in a bad light to enlighten and encourage hamster, gerbil and mouse owners to do actual research first into picking out or impulsively getting a small pet. This is my final review of their last cage the Amusement Park. Mistreatment of these animals has led me to make this series so i hope you are all on board. If you own one of these cages, please listen and we the community hope you'll make a good change. For those thinking of getting this cage, i hope i convinced you otherwise. So thank you for watching my silly yet educational unboxing on why we want people avoiding Tiny Tales from Petsmart's "All Living Things" line. Thank you.

I went into Petco after adopting my adorable Dwarf Hamster (which I was told was a boy but is a girl) and since I didn’t know better at the time. I bought a 6” silent spinner. After seeing her run in it, I saw she had a arched looking back. And I went back and asked a MANAGER and they reassured that it was correct. Having doubts, I went to another petco in another CITY. And the person pointed out that there was a bigger spinner. I returned the other one quickly afterwards and I’m happy to see her run on her new wheel. Don’t trust the first petco person.

Midnight Blood to be honest, I would never trust most pet store employees, especially at petco and petsmart. I would always do my own research (I know this channel, Erin's Animals, and Victoria Raechel)

Always do your own research and generally don't trust pet store employees coz only a very few percentage of them actually knows proper care for your hammies~

Can you imagine how hard daily cleaning would be for this cage for mice? Because daily wipe downs on solid surfaces is a must for mice. The tunnels are a NIGHTMARE

I had a pet shop employee tell me that I could bathe my hamster when I asked it they had any suitable sand for hamsters. I was so sad that someone could listen to his advice and potentially kill their hamster.

If I end up working at a pet store where stuff like this is sold, I'm definitely going to give them proper animal care information... especially because once I heard an employee tell a group of teens that a 40 gallon tank is fine for an adult veiled chameleon.

I got a male Syrian hamster in March. I made the mistake of trusting a Petco employee and bought a Kaytee CritterTrail cage that was WAY too small, even for my young Syrian. I realized early on that he was unhappy, so I looked up the cage size requirements and bought a second cage. I didn’t realize that hamsters need UNBROKEN floor space, and actually thought I was “spoiling” him. I bought tons of extensions and extra tubes sinking hundreds of dollars into these cages. I mean after all I was following the pamphlet Petco gave me! It wasn’t until recently (unfortunately) that I discovered the online hamster community and realized how bad those cages actually are. Today I upgraded to a tank and wheel that are the appropriate sizes. I never realized that the reason my hamster “doesn’t like me” might be linked to the stress he received from his cage. I fell for the idea that bright colors and tubes provided the stimulation that hamsters need. He has only been in his new enclosure for a few hours but already seems happier. The work you are doing in educating hamster owners like myself is soooo important! Thank you for helping improve my hammy’s quality of life!

I got one of these cages then o saw this so I upgraded to a 450inch (I have a Syrian hamster) he still was not happy so I watched this video where she mentions that Syrians like 600 square inches so I got a bun cage spent A lot of money on two cages that where not suitable then only spent 20 dollars on a grate sized cage please listen to what she is saying

I was gonna get a bunny and I was saving for over half a year and doing tons of research, my mom had said I could if my room was cleans for 3 months in a row, never being dirty (I did that) the time came and my mom said no I couldn’t get a rabbit, needless to say I was very disappointed and cried for a long time... she said I could get a hamster, I hadn’t done any research on hamsters, but I knew the basics including the minimum cage size, but if I said no then they would just think that I was being a snot because I wanted a bunny, so I ended up getting a hamster, I love him and I’m giving him the best life I can, (he started out in a CritterTrail cage, not my idea but my moms, he also was forced to run around in a hamster ball and didn’t have any time to settle in :( , now he’s in an ikea detolf with 8” of bedding and 11” wheel and lots of chews and hides, one of them being his old ball 😂 ) I do still hope to get a rabbit though haha

I used to use a Kaytee cage the tiny cage then i found out how horrible it was so we bought a bin for her to live in till we bought a new cage. Now i have a black prevue cage like you put in ms.frizzles . I love you channel ❤️ and I’m a total munchie fan :)

I've been considering a hamster, and the first thing I did was look on youtube for hamster care, since I didn't know anything about it. I've really enjoyed learning about this adorable critters. I can't imagine agreeing to care for an animal and not learning the basics of what they need.

you were the one who got me into learning about hamsters and made me realize the reason my hamsters died so quickly I now have a mouse and a Syrian ham ( don't worry they don't know each-other) and they are in big bin cages for the Syrian she gets a 200 qt bin and the mouse 103 qt bin and they both have good wheels so thank you for your information please help others with this as well I will send you pictures of them and there cages in a bit on insta bye

I used to have a bad Cade like REALLY BAD I have watched your vids and other vids like yours now I have got a bin cage which is 450 square inches but for my birthday in a month I am going to get a bin cage which is 510 square inches my hamster loves me she just hops in ya hand and goes sleep on me it is sooo cute Thank you

Sadly here in the uk our pet shop (pets at home) have the kaytee double cage as a web “exclusive” online and cause people are obsessed with America things over here people have been buying them! If you ever want a UK cage I’d be happy to send you one as it would be cheaper for you in the long run. Keep up the good work

In my opinion when it comes to people who own small pets and are negligent should be treated the same way that people who mistreat dogs or cats are treated maybe then they will start listening

I was dog sitting for somebody and the sadly have a critter trail with a female dwarf hamster in it and every time I see it I put it in a ball (I know they suck but it’s better then nothing) I add bedding, clean it out, add fresh water, clean the wheel, scatter some food around, give it a chew toy or two, and give the poor thing a treat for hanging in there. They also have a single neon tetra (a schooling’s fish) in a 5 gallon tank with two plastic plants, a sharp hide, and a plastic sign with that ugly, nasty rainbow gravel, so next time I go I’m going to contact the owner and tell her :(

When choosing a hamster to take home I was told that the syrian I had my eye on was mean. I didn't believe it for a second. I took her home anyway and after she was adjusted to her new home she turned out to be the gentlest and sweetest girl you could have. She just needed a proper home and proper care and attention. She is very hyper and it makes it a pain sometimes, but I still take her out for playtime almost every day.

@@sylvie_on True! Same with pigs. I only hear horrible things about them. I've worked with a mini pig on an animal rescue center and she was the sweetest, cutes and cleanest animal there. Very sad how misinformed people can talk about animals. (not a pitbull but on the animal rescue center there's a rotweiler named Caleb. Very massive and bulked dog, but has the personality of a golden retriever. Still customers tell us they think he's scary and dangerous)

I think you should try looking at the worst hamster cages on amazon! I've seen cages with less than 100 square inches of floor space on a lot of them, it's awful!

Your videos do make an impact, when I first decided I wanted a hamster, I wanted to get the tiny tales castle for my cage, but the mixed reviews made me question if it was a good cage. As I did research and came upon your videos, I realize that they needed so much more. Thank you.

I went to a “vet camp” and they had a different animal come in each day. The first day it was a hamster and I watched one of these videos that morning. And the person that brought in the hamster had a cage like this.(I don’t know if it was a different cage or just didn’t have the decoration) I assumed it was a travel cage so I thought it was a good size for a travel cage and raised my hand and asked “how big is the hamster’s real cage because I assume that is the hamsters travel cage?” And the lady said “oh no this is his real cage that he lives in.” And my jaw dropped. I was legitimately sad. I told my friends that I thought it was really small. And they all said something like “well the hamster is small so the cage is small.” ( it was a dwarf hamster) they also dropped the hamster and the owner said. “Oh it’s fine he had been through a lot he is a class pet for kindergartens and one threw the hamster ball with him in it. He’s fine!” I am really sad and I fell bad for that hamster and other hamsters who live in the same conditions. I hope no body treats their hamsters like this!

For fun I look on amazon for hamster cages and literally all of them that I saw were Kaytee or tiny tales so disappointing that most pet online shops recommend that it’s like a baby being put in a small toy box though I don’t own hamsters or had any I would NEVER EVER buy these cages it’s torture to them and nobody has never realized that

I saw a news story about kim kardashians daughter's hamster dying. in the shot they kinda blurred out the tiny tales logo but i saw it and i think it was the farm or clubhouse one. needless to say, i was pissed. her sister is rich as she is(her sister bought the child the hamster and the cage) able to buy proper cage things yet is uneducated.

Munchie you have changed me so much. My first hamster who was a robo I stuck in the comfy house cage and he sadly had an early death becuase of stress. I was heartbroken and I quickly put this cage to rest and I got the kaytee super habitat for my Syrian and it's amazing to see how happy he is and how he flourishes. I also decided to stop supporting Petco and petsmart and I now only shop at my local store who breeds and raises hamsters ethically. They have large enclosures that they keep them in and they handle them very nicely. Thank you for changing me.

I witnessed the most absurd situation in petco last week. A family came in buying a hamster (I was there to get more bedding) they had no clue what they were doing. They didn’t ask me and I felt it wasn’t my place to but in their business but long story short they ended up going and getting a worker to ask what to get and the employee literally told them they did not need a wheel or bedding as it was not necessary. They checked out in front of me and had only purchased a small animal “cage” and food. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t say anything and I’m still regretting it. I just thought it may be out of line because I was “ease dropping” on their convos 😩 why do these stories not properly educate the people they hire! I don’t get it!

Jade Hansen when I worked at a pet store I know I interrupted people a lot! I was the most educated person working there. I would just walk over and go hey! What are you looking at today/need any help choosing something for your pet? And if you're a customer just walk over and talk about your pet and what you use and explain what's best. Chances are, you won't see those people again and it doesn't matter how you approach it as long as you educate them. I have a friend who will literally loudly point out dead animals in pet stores who are uneducated and not caring and interrupt and talk to customers without caring. I would spend 20 minutes to an hour talking to customers to help them find the right things for their pets and I always felt so good when I switched them to better and healthier things- especially the small animals.

They said what!?!? That’s like saying it’s not necessary to not lock a pet in a small room with no toys love or affection. Sure, it’s not as necessary as food, but it’s a simple thing to do and will seriously help out a pet in the long run. If I heard that I would probably punch the employee in the face.

I wish I had your videos when I owned hamsters. I made crappy mistakes as a teenager. Now I have Rats. But if I ever go back to owning hamsters.. I'm making a bin cage! These cages are terrible and you shouldn't buy them. My multiple hamsters used to escape, chew on the bars and stress clean themselves. I wish I knew what I know now. You are awesome Munchie. I’m early for once 😂 Also I noticed my hamster being badly behaved in her small cage and wouldn’t let me hold her (I have 2 hamsters, Syrians so they are obvi in different cages and I’ve had 1 other hamster before) and when I put her in a bigger cage ( it’s litreally a large cabinet thingy turns on it’s back) and she now lets me hold her and she’s amazing and gentle! She lets anyone hold her as long as they are gentle and kind with her!

Well stress can really mess with animals and people. I know when I have a bad day at work or I’m stressed I’m quicker to lash out at people, at least I don’t bite. 😂 So it only makes sense a poor high prey animal would be hella more aggressive and panicky. You try living with the claustrophobia and fear of dying everyday.

Honestly, after hearing you say these things are good for toys but obviously not for animals, I wouldn’t mind going into my local Petsmart with a Sharpie and writing “a toy, not a cage” and “not for animals” on the boxes 😂 Sadly I can’t do that, because I’d get arrested 😐

I love your little kid impersonation. Lol when I was five I had a hamster it was a dwarf hamster I had him in a small cage for the first week I had him he was not happy so me and my mom got a huge tank for him it took a hole wall in my room he lived for about a good two years their was a huge change in him he was so happy in the big cage. For the people who think that they can put their hamster in a low quality flimsy cage needs to get a life lol

Munchie! I live in Ireland and there’s a pet shop in my neighborhood, It’s AMAZING It has 500 SQ inches hamster cages! And yes they were made for hamsters! I bought one for my hamster, Al The pet shop has proper wheels They never EVER EVER have small wheels they only do 7-12 inches wheel! It’s literally the best pet shop ever

This should be banned! These cages aren't any different from animal abuse! You put a hamster in there and you just forcing it to live its whole life miserably and stressed! How would you feel if you had to live inside your washroom 24/7 with nothing to do!

My hamster is so much happier so I had a Syrian hamster living in a 107 sq inch cage I kept on telling my Mom I wanted to get a big bin cage but she kept on saying it’s fine so I got one myself. He is so much happier and nicer.and I can now make cool things and add them thank you ( ^ω^ )

Usually they don't pry into it. But one of them asked me once and I told them I did a review on it. She asked why, told her it's a cage that shouldn't be made as it's too small. She told me "oh I didn't see anything wrong with it and they're new". So just goes to show you not everyone understands or wants to know small animal care while working in a pet store. Mostly I see people who gravitate towards cats/dogs and don't look into learning about the animals they sell. So she seemed like she was one of those people who didn't know much and didn't think anything was wrong with what cages they sold. Oh and the cage that was broken I had to go ahead and let them know that one time that it was broken. They didn't ask tho. I just ended up saying don't go reselling it.

It is a big ambition for me to open up a pet store and currently I'm designing a line of hamster cages that include all of the necessities (IE: hides ,10 inch wheel, sand bath,) and are colourful with different themes I have designed two so far (King Arthur and pink butterfly) and I'm working on more they each have 600 square inches of floor space

Dude there was an episode of Keeping up With The Kardashians, where Kim K's daughter North had a hamster that died and it was literally in the Tiny Tales Pink Castle cage. Imagine being that rich and you can't at the very LEAST pay someone to research and create the perfect hamster enclosure for you.

I got myself kicked out of a PetSmart because I was talking to a lady who was getting one of these and others like it for her 3 kids. She had no idea how terrible these things were and when I showed her the videos and we talked about it she straight up put them all back on the shelf. The manager was mad and kicked me out. Worth it. They ended up making one huge bin cage and adopted one hamster. That little booger is plenty spoiled. Because mama didn't give in and did her research they are great hamster owners. I love seeing Facebook updates, we're friends to this day and this was something like a year ago. Thanks for the great reviews and informative videos.

Why cant we get our hands on the big deluxe cages like they have in the UK!!! if Petsmart was smart they would make alot of changes in the company!! they dont sell half the things that people really want! For1.. Bring in or make the big jumbo hamster cages... without all the cheep plastic snap on parts...

I went to PetSmart a few days ago to buy bedding and toys for my hamster, and I saw an employee informing the customer! The person was buying a hamster and a Beta Fish for their [I'd say about 9-12 year old] kids . The employee was asking what kind of cage/tanks he had, [thankfully, he claimed he had a 40 gallon tank for both of them,] She told him about the bedding and recommended food.It made me so happy :D

I watched this with my cat. I have to give lots of care to my cats to prove I am responsible so parents will get me a hamster. ps. I am using a bin cage 🙂 Edit: I got a male robo named cinnamon!
