Google translation for this song is way off haha. Esi mi dobar means "Are you good", something you would say when greeting someone. Heads that Ajs mentions are buds. Also, joint, 10 beers and candy("nekolko bombona" refering to couple of extasy :D).Overall a laid back song about everyday struggles. Cheers!
Listen to this suggestion guys: At the end of the video, say which song you are going to react to next so people can help you with lyrics and background (band members etc.).
Idea is not bad, but then they should listen to the song before they react on video. And that will not be good for the proper "first impression reaction video"... :)
'Esi (short from "jesi li" - are you) mi dobar - Are you good to me (literally), how are you, are you good (slang) U kraju pun je HEDOVA skoro svaki ormar - In the hood almost every closet is full of (marihuana) heads A woman on a wall and the T-shirt is "Serbian mother" Ceca - Svetlana Ražnatović, a most popular Serbian folk singer (a joke making her a "holy mother") Also there are Serbian politicians, one ex, one current president, and the third I do not recognize. iz Plavog Orkestra Loša (singer from Plavi Orkestar) - Loš on Serbian means bad, so he's "good" as Loša Video is recorded at gypsy settlement "Jojkićev Kanal" which is in Kotež (a part of Belgrade where Ajs and Timbe are from, "Kotež South Central" as Ajs loves to call it) Guys with guns are from airsoft club "Brat" and all guns are their airsoft replicas.
the video has a lot of references to politicians, and the whole atmosphere is the stereotypical gypsy slums (the tattoos, kids with guns, chickens), The e si mi dobar is like "u good bro" or "WhatsUp" and the lyrics are just rhyming and flow bombs. Hard to translate the feel to English.
I see that you really liked Wikluh Sky, TBH he is probably most talented musician I have ever heard, he is not only a great rapper, but there are many other genres he nailed too, dude even recorded two rock albums just for fun and nailed them both. He produced and wrote lyrics for many other musicians, as well as well known debut album for the group by the name of S.A.R.S. Also fun fact, he can pretty much play every single instrument.
Bad Copy made this video to paint a picture of Southern America's favelas. As you can see from the video, people (mostly gypsies) are living in these settlements. So "army" in movie, is there to resemble situation in favelas. Probably this video was shot in Kotež, it's the part of Belgrade where some of Bad Copy members are/were living at.
aaaa....I was wrongly thinking is record on Trnava, where part of the band was working, at that time, but that was Brother Lerdi, all aight? Mea culpa. RIP Klica.
The real translation actually is "You good?" which actually a slang phrase meaning do you have any drugs on you. Also there's an Easter egg during Timbe's part, if you look closely you can see Mikri and Eufrat from Prti Bee Gee standing in front of the door.
Yo, been watching you guys for some time now and I'm very glad that you recognized some real rap from Serbia, like Smoke, Bigru & Paja kratak. Song "Osmo svetsko čudo" is a fucking banger and you must check it out.
Many of this songs, tha quality songs dont mean shit to ya.....It is hard to explain what this rhymes realy means..... Serbian real hip hop have deeper meaning then comercial shit like punk ass rasta..... Real hip hop fans does not listen the music, but tha words.....Tha power of hip hop is in the words.....Tha message that is sent to us......
If I’m not mistaken the women on his shirt and that they light a candle for is Ceca, famous singer who was married to a famous warlord in the 90s. There are a lot of political images. Also as mentioned before there is a lot of slang that can’t be translated with google. One of my favorite Ajs Nigrutin songs!
Ahh this is the song i've suggested in one of ur videos, great reaction u guys rly like vibing to this stuff Try Bad Copy - Idemo Odma, its also a hit from Bad Copy and all 3 of em actually kill it, the video is lit aswell
Dizaster vs Random, that’s probably going to be interesting, plus is on English so I would lika to hear and see reactions from you two when you hear Random.
Cheers brothers, you have to listen some more of Smoke Mardeljano. The track you need to hear next is Smoke Mardeljano - Definicija MC-ja. Would be grateful so will you! Greeting from Serbia!
Losha, from Plavi Orkestar band and Sky Wikluh worked on the same project in the past, and probably stayed in good relation. That project is music for popular TV series from Serbia called "Vratice se rode".
The whole concept of a video and a song is even though there is shit going on, I am still ok. That's why they repeat it "Esi mi dobar" meaning "You ok bro" ... (not fine as fuck) the video is showing that almost hardcore, people living in slums, making babies without nothing to eat, nowhere to live, soldiers fighting, but that doesn't matter I am still ok, as long as there is ganja, beer, bitches.... Also every bar has so much deeper meaning and metaphors.... there are metaphors for metaphors over there it is just to much to translate. For instance, the bar you noticed from Sky Wikler when he says "dobar sam ko iz Plavog Orkestra Loša" meaning "I am OK just as Loša from Plavi Orkestar" ... which is fine but it also has another meaning, because in Serbian "loš" means BAD, so he is kinda saying "I am ok but BAD" and so on and so on ...
Please do this one also, pretty new track from these fine gentelmen. GOLDIE x SHEA x STRUKA - U KOJOJ SI KLASI? [Official Music Video] Also this oldie is worth checking. Dripac - Deja Vu
The song is filmed in gypsies slums of Serbia. Gypsies are all over the world and most of them are poor . Bad copy just went in one of the slums and made a video . The girl on tattoos and pics are Svetlana Ceca Raznatovic famous serbian singer and wife of war lord ,general and the best man of serbia Arkan
As you asked at 6:40 minute of the video, that guy is Sasha Loshic Losha (Saša Lošić Loša), and he was frontman of band Blue Orchestra (Plavi Orkestar), which was a Bosnian and former Yugoslavian pop rock band from Sarajevo. The band was formed in 1983 by Saša, who is the lead singer and songwriter of the group. The band was and has remained popular with seven albums and more than 1500 concerts worldwide. P.s. Love you guys, great reaction videos. Do next "BIGru i Paja Kratak - Struggle everydayo", it is amazing "west side style" song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HxyWl0Jbp7E.html Best regards from Montenegro!
I know dude already kiinda translated but chorus “esi mi dobar” is more like lingo “are u high” but lowkey, its translated to are you good? But kinda more means “how high/are you high(on weed)”
"Jesi mi dobar" mean ARE YOU GOOD MAN, it what we in Serbia say to People when we se them, than he say, YEA I AM GOOD I SMOKE FOUR GIANT JOINTS EARLY THIS MORNING.. and so on, it is a great song...
When they said 'U kraju pun je hedova skoro svaki ormar' - they weren't talking about skulls, but weed as head is our slang term for a dime of weed, the plural would be hedovi
you got lost in the translation in this one esi mi dobar means "you good bro?" or "sup", "sweets" in question are Ecstasy pills "Every day at least once cause that´s what has to be done At least 10 beers and several E´s"
the only depth they conect Losa from plavi orkestar is sillable , cause that was that guys nickname but it also means bad on serbian . So eventually he says im good like Losa from plavi orkestar :D
the woman on the t-shirt and the wall is serbian singer/mafia matron and war criminal's wife Ceca, she donated to the building of a church but paid extra so the mother mary fresco looks like her so mother ceca was basically just a meme, but a couple of her songs like "nagovori" hit so hard we forgive anything and everything she does, kinda like how the americans were totally ok with michael jackson diddling kids
Correct translation for "esi mi dobar" would be "you good? " It serves as a greeting but in Belgrade slang it is also has wider meaning , something like "you got what you need?" most often concerning drugs but not necessarily, depending on context it could mean "did you get paid" or just asking is everything is ok. In fact, it is exactly as you might use "you good?" in English.
Gypsys are known for getting tattood early in age and random stuff like Rocky...they even name their kids like rocky, rambo, bruce lee. And the lady on the wall is Ceca (serbian folk singer - also known as Serbian mother. Wife of arkan raznatovic - a war criminal under balkan war in the 90's
The woman that kids are worshiping in the video is Svetlana Ceca Ražnatovic famous Serbian folk singer, that people call "Serbian mother", so they connected it to Virgin Mary style of worshiping in the video, as sarcasm
Plavi orkestar: Blue Band = has this famous song "better to be drunk then old" but not really sure about why he is so fine [btw: being "so fine" is getting your share/ from deal]
PLEASE REACT TO "Rap Session #31 - Deda" its freestyle rap from "Deda" dude is legit bar spitter, i bet you would go nuts after hearing that! big love from Croatia!
