Zoni (the 3rd guy) is mentioning 7 years of ST(Split) wine, smoke, women because he is from Zagreb and lived in Split for 7 years at that point(Split and Zagreb are rival cities sorta like Manchester and Liverpool). You can hear him rap about not being fully accepted by the people of split
As on OG from Split I can tell you he is accepted, it only takes time that locals feel respect and that you are immersed into the local Split lifestyle, on the other hand, Zagreb is the same ..show respect and you will be accepted with open arms, take care all and enjoy the scenery from Split
This song perfectly describes the state of mind and the way of living in Dalmatia. You can feel it when you're there; soothing, drowzy and melancholic vibe. "Take it easy, we can do it tomorrow, where's the rush...". It's beautiful
It's interesting how music is universal language, and you got the message and you understand ''Split state of mind'' (splitsko stanje uma) even tough you are from another part of the continent. I'm from Dalmatia (you can see the city of Split behind my back in profile pic) and yeah, everything here is bitter-sweet. Contrasts everywhere - in scenery, mentality etc.
Hi guys! really like seeing you enjoyoing yourself with Croatian and all of Balkan music. I recomend You listen to Vojko V, and song is called Zovi Čovika. He usually does some comedy trap, but this one is little bit different and has some seak beat to it. Just hope someone can do translation for You. Keep up the good work!!
bolje pjesmu kako to iz zovi covika nece se izvuci nikakav zakljucak ova pjesma kako to vise opisuje nas balkanski metalitet sto bi bilo zanimljivije za ljude iz engleske
Listen to Nered i Stoka one of the hardest hip hop artists on balkan in 90' from them I recommend "vječno dole" or Nered i Stoka ft. ONYX "vrijeme je" And from Tram 11 "Hrvatski velikani" There's a lot of Croatian old school hip hop artists like El Bahattee, Stupni, Bolesna braća witch is worth listen and I bet you would like it
guys, even though you couldn't "catch " all the lyrics, let alone understand its compete meanings, let alone all "subtle under meanings" of it, you absolutely understood the energy.... my deepest respect for that! the only thing that probably needs to be a bit more explained is the song's ending... in the second part of the song Vojko is complaining that Dalmatia is more than just the "sun that shines, sardine that swims, love that hurts..." which is a common "allegory" of popular "folk" songs that have a whole annual festival in Split.... AND THE LAST PART is sung exactly in the mode and lyrics of those songs! as basically an homage, as well as a parody of it! in fact Vojko even mimicked the voice and pronunciation of a famous Croatian folk singer called Ibrica Jusić ....
I was born and rasied in Croatia, Istria....you said it 100% right....heaven without full access....only a few have VIP but it is still heaven and I did try USA for 6 months and went home....you just dont leave Adriatic coast if you love nature and beauty with good food and great music and beautiful women....you leave it if you love money and I realized I do not like speanding my life just to speand money
Im glad you liked them, they are definitely something else, but there is so much more gold from them that you need to explore, such as : Maci, After u Zatvoru, Ko bi Reka, Tračevi, Kralj Ribara and lastly, in my opinion probably the most hard hitting rap song ever to exist on Balkans : Krek Kuća ( almost the whole rap scene in Split from that time is in it , and the rhymes are absolutely mental )
Visit Croatia, visit Serbia and don't forget Bosnia!!! You will have great time!!! I am sure you will enjoy Montenegro too, you can go from Dalmatia to Montenegro! Have fun! I am willing to give you my place to stay, but the only place near is Belgrade... I will not be there I'm in Germany...Don't forget here is super cheep compared to UK!
Wow. Yesterday I was watching some of your videos and I was thinking "They need to check out Dalmacija from Dječaci" and here it is lol. Dječaci - Lovrinac is also fun to watch. (Lovrinac is the main cemetery in Split, the song is about random lowlifes and how they died.)
Hey Bros, great one! You have to know that digi digi thing is kinda Vojko V-ish and he is always the funny one.. Idk have you heard yet about Rap Skillz, rap battle tournament from Balkans? I recommand every video you can find on Yt but multiple winner and by my opinion, the best one is Random, especially his battle against Jantar. And for you, i think is the best to react on battle Random vs Dizaster(USA) coz its in English and Random(Montenegro) raised it to a higher level. Cheers bros 🖤
the last singing part is actually mocking the typical Dalmatian pop-folk songs (often performed at the Split Festival during summer every year), he is just dropping the usual stereotypes and cliche phrases from these songs ironically :) But the rest of the song is kind of a bittersweet portrayal of Dalmatia.... Economy crippled by transition and heavily dependent on tourism, corrupt local government with a clown major (at the time), not much opportunities for young people, etc. But people there are really proud and passionate about their home nevertheless, sometimes over the top and to the point of ignoring the harsh reality.
listen to TBF, some songs TBF- Mater, TBF- genije , TBF - odjeb je lansiran, TBF smak svita ... there is no person who does not know about them in Split
I remember a long time ago you guys saw some BIGru Paja Kratak songs and enjoyed it. I recommend "Hud Ceo Je Gengsta". Siiick tune. Others that you can check out are Letnje Ludilo and Domaca Pesma. Other than that they released a new song "Who shot ya 2" as a sequel of the "Who shot ya" tune, both are sickk! Keep it up brothers, Big up!
To understand the "Dalmatia" vibe, watch a movie with Salma Hayek called "Bliss", its an Amazon movie, filmed in Split/Dalmatia. It was filmed about year ago
Hello from Croatia, it is awesome what you do. Please make some TBF songs. Let say TBF-alles gut or TBF-smak svita. One of the best Croatian artist. Btw TBF means "The Beat Fleet"
Glad to see you totally picked up the energy....the last part is mocking the whole picture pretty image of Dalmatia heaven and the old pop songs that operate on surface level:toeat, drink and be merry ....and no thinking at all about all the bad stuff mentioned before....pozdrav iz Dalmacije
And you could pick better song from Dječaci this is their most soft song listen from Dječaci "Kiša metaka" who recommend this song must really hate Croatia I guess some serb
Dječaci - LOVRINAC (A humorous song about the local cemetery and the stories of the deceased who perished in funny situations) VOJKO V - ZOVI ČOVIKA VOJKO V - NE MOŽE A member of the Dječaci
"Dječaci" band is sarcastic and just having fun a lot of the time, locals would understand what they're "poking" about. Btw "Maci" is great, try that one
Dalmatia is the Croatian sea part, we also have the continental part, I'm from Dalmatia, so ... listen to the song YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HOW A DALMATIAN LOVES, sings Jelena Rozga
@Skonson Reactions I saw that you once asked of us to recommend something of the Bosnian rapper Frenkie, and here it is: Frenkie, Kontra, Indigo - Naša noć (Goes hard fyi)
its ok to love black girls or oposite.. its like magnet .. white pull black , black pull light, white people want more black , black want more white (not everyone but majority). ITS OK TILL WE ARE HUMAN GOOD TO EACHOTHER... its so simple why hate, no hate just love and party and work and happy life and food GOOD FOOD i forgot ;)
Žugi - 33 BANDA is the one you should react too. Its one of the top lets say new/old rap songs that I can approve as a rap lover, I think you would like it too!
My personal favourites by Dječaci (English: The Lads, The Boys) Struja ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z4R_WeuiWjw.html CMC ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p4FH8f_TKgM.html Vojko V's solo career is going strong
@@ivanakg9067 jesu prikaze... Al da im malo žeštokog pustimo da ne misle da nemamo.... Sjetite se vi možda koju još žešću od ovih... Pozdravljam i svako dobro zelim.... A likovi su mi otkriće u kratkom roku ja ih zavoljela , a i moji doma..... Bas su extra...
Lets do a challenge! If You guys do a reaction video on TTM ft. Grše - Dream Team, Kiša Metaka - Swagonic and Tram 11 ft. Stoka. ft Jantar - Posljedji reper u gradu, and if any of the three doesn't hit a 10/10 from You guys, I will do a free logo or merch design for You! I recently came across the channel and I am loving what You do, the lyrics element that You do is great, it is interesting what kind of reactions You have to rhymes that You don't know the back story of, the elements only locals understand etc. But You do too much Jala, Voyage and other trap shit when there is so much dope ass rap songs here, You just scraped the tip of the iceberg. Keep the layers peeling, the illest shit doesn't have millions of views ;)
