It means it's gonna go bang at any point, you'll fix it, then 6 months later you'll have another warning light come on for something else. Modern BMW engines are rubbish.
@@gantoniom9615nigga you don’t know what you talking about 🤣 it’s supposed to be still then move when you start the car…it’s called the “crankshaft” because when you “crank”the engine it starts turning to activate the belt. Thats why it’s bigger than every other pulley and tensioners because it the main one that rotates the belt.
When you replaced the pulley did you have to remove the radiator? And what did it sound like? I have this sound that’s like a scrape I only hear at acceleration sometimes
No need to remove radiator. There's a special tool to secure the pulley. The first time that I heard the sound, I thought it was a taiming chain, becous was metalik noise, then disappear, and one or two weeks later this was the noice. You could grab it and move it. The squeak when you start the car is absolutely normal for these engines. Even the 177hp makes the same sound, so it's not a problem. Problem is when squeak no stoop then could be a belt, or a pully
I would start from the battery, because requires a lot of energy, so make sure is okay, check the starter motor, fuel, and last compression. Could very easaly be just relay for starter motor..but is hard to be tell from one sentence.
