Nothing like hackers wanting to be fiberglass repair experts. I'm restoring a Uniflite Saltydog and I have found similar repairs. Makes for much more work in restoring a boat.
Someone did a cover up to save a lot of time and money, what was mounted on the steel angle that needed a couple extra inches clearance ? without knowing the backstory it's hard to judge beyond it not being right
