So I paused the video where the two flyers were being compared, and I asked my seven month old daughter which one looked more interesting, to my surprise she chose the green flyer😂😂😂😂. Wow you really know your work.

From designer point of view remade is good. But IMO a lot of the customers will prefer basic version and will find it more attractive )

Aside from the design, font, and contrast, the original background picture seems to be a more appealing choice for a healthy food business.

If your designs fit the tone of the target audience they should attract, that’s what matters. You can always try experimenting with design styles way different than you’re used to. This has helped me a lot.

I liked the layout and design of yours, but also liked the peaches in the original. That could be easily mixed though, if I was to try a version. Excellent tips though! Thank you for sharing. 😁👍🏽

The peaches were good, but I didn't feel there was enough room to work with. The copy would have needed to be way less. I'd love to see your version!

This was an excellent tutorial! It works well for me to have the contrast of a good/bad flyer to learn from. I'm making a flyer right now that is far different from yours. I was assuming it would be the bad flyer but, after watching your video a couple of times, I'm seeing that mine is actually fairly good. Thank you for this. 😄

This was a very helpful video! I like how you redid the typography and hierarchy and added the element at the top. I oddly still prefer the original background and white bar at the bottom, even though your revision follows the company brand better with the repetition of green. Hope you're doing well and looking forward to future videos!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I thought of the white bar, but felt it was taking away from the Nourish at the top, but maybe next time I will keep the same background when I do a re-design and see how to improve upon the space they provided.

Subbed, this was fantastic. I've got a job to do this week and the clients existing branding is terrible. I came to YT to look for inspiration, and discovered this redesign. Good work! You tried Affinity Designer 2? I ended up switching from AI and thus far it's been excellent.

So glad you stopped by and that it helped! I haven’t tried the Affinity Suite yet but I plan to as I’ve heard it’s such a good alternative to Adobe and want to learn more so I can teach to others who can’t afford Adobe CC. Best of luck on your design project!

Hi!! I’m an autistic aspiring graphic designer and this is so helpful to watch!! I’m very aware of color palettes and contrasts, too! It’s so important to make the text clear and concise as well as colors that are easy on the eyes! I have a question, though. Is it okay to use a reference when making a flyer or graphic designs?

Another great video! You improved readability by a lot! Great redesign of the flyer. Hierarchy is definitely visible, guiding the readers eyes. Colours are more balanced, making the design more streamlined. Though I'd like to add that the use of space could be a bit better as it looks just a bit condensed in my opinion. Overall a great change! I'm currently studying design and been wondering how I could practice a bit more using the adobe suite. I transitioned to Mac and lack the experience in using macOS. You seem to be quite proficient though. Are there resources you can recommend for learning shortcuts and everything design-related for Mac? Or would you recommend just going along with current projects to learn the shortcuts and behaviour with Mac? Thanks in advance! 😀

Adobe has some resources with shortcuts for each program but learning as you do projects is definitely the best way. 6:51 is there a faster way to do this? I commonly space things with Photoshop and know you can space things evenly with a click of a button but I can’t see a way to evenly space between different parts without using a spacer object and referencing it (like you seemed to be doing)

Yes, there is a faster way, I just always like to do it manually because I am weird...haha. You can see at the top Options Bar under "Distribute".

It would be good to be able to dictate the spacing and have that duplicated, or better yet have a space easily calculated between 2 parts, that you can then use to duplicate with the ‘Spacing Duplicator’ #FutureFeature

@@4TheCreatives i just thought that having a picture of fruits in the bg, makes the topic really clear for the viewer. They dont need to start reading to get it. And to my eyes the contrast was still fine from the bg to the white text. Just to explain my thoughts :)

@@gdcuaer4076 The flyer is completely off brand for Whole Foods and the image makes no sense either. Sure peaches are nice looking, but it has nothing to do with "cooking" in the sense the flyer's is talking about. Just because something looks good to the eye, doesn't mean is good design.

Hi! Yes, it is still doing great. I just have to be very mindful of my HD storage and keep saving files and done projects to DropBox. It is a good way to keep organized!
