The 3 knives could be talking about something within the black community. We have a saying that black men are born with two strikes. One being black and two being a man. This could mean Frank has 3 strikes already. One black, two man, and three liking the same sex. Maybe m I’m looking into it a lil too deep but Idk lol

That's a cool explanation, but as someone who still wasn't sure if Frank came from a Christian or Islamic Background, I wondered if it was a reference to trinitarianism in Christianity. Jesus - the friend beside him who he's supposed to love and who claims to love him The Spirit - who is supposedly in him but is guiding him toward love that is considered against the rules but who he may think is making him feel "convicted" The Father - the angry God who decided his love was an abomination to begin with Odds are your explanation was closer to what he meant tho😂

The phrase of " allahu akbar " itself SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED because it's part of calling for our prayer !!
@stargazing2628
@stargazing2628 Год назад
It is story telling, Frank is not the one saying that, he's paraphrasing the taxi driver who he was talking to. The taxi driver said that probably as a prayer for him. The song is not about any specific religion but rather uses religion as a topic for story telling. His unrequited love is the bad religion.

Hello! Muslim here! This is my opinion on the whole "Allahuakbar" thing. To me, for the song at least it's not a big deal because of how it's used, when you hear the song, it's not used for any insult or bad intention. Like Elliot said, it means "Allah is the Greatest", which it said to the perspective of the taxi driver. I also think it's fine if a non Muslim say it, "IF" they have no bad intention with it, (same thing I heard Assalamualaikum is also something I heard non Muslim can't also say but I hear many times from non muslims and most of them mean in good means) that being said, that's not what I got from here. I get why many people are shocked or abit taking a back from "Allahuakbar" because of unfortunate events and people are afraid people using it as an offensive joke (I get it, I'm Muslim, I'm sick of it) but to me at least, the song is pretty much talks about criticizing what people's preaching when it comes to religion. Like how some religions harm people (quite notice as the video suggest, LGBTQ FOLKS). I think is a very great thing to discuss and talk about, especially as all my years as a muslims, I think is very hypocritical for any people who practice their faith be the one in charge to decide or control what people are and can be. The Al Quran does preach muslims should be loyal and humble to Allah, but it also preach to be a good person, regardless who they are. Like who Muhammad forgave his enemies and remind to his muslims brothers and sisters to not force anybody to convert to Islam, Islam is being sincere and being honest to Allah and those he creates. He also said to be nice people around regardless of faith and people because to create a peaceful world. people should be who they are and live and be a decent human being with respect. Hope this explaination isn't too long. I'm pretty passion about this lmao-

I’m entirely heterosexual, but the message Frank conveys in his music is something often ignored by straight males. Call me sensitive, but who said a gay man can’t throw down? 💪🏽 Jokes aside, Bad Religion truly hits a note on a topic that the usual “boomer” dad will tell you to suck it up and move tf on. It’s tough when you’re the type who dwells and can’t let go of those feelings. I’ll do the “manliness” of things, but feeling never truly goes away. It might push it aside until you’re ready to accept it. But the songs “bad religion” reminds me of why it’s not healthy to cling onto things we really shouldn’t.

The attacks towards my brothers and sisters are not all okay and the words used weren’t okay- Frank didn’t mean to upset anyone but he did apologize. RM probably thought everyone knew the meaning behind the song and posted it. Not everyone knows the details abt all religions and what’s bad or good- this whole situation is sad + using the words weren’t at all ok, but RM sharing the song doesn’t mean he agrees with the controversial views of those who think bad of Muslims. Idk why attack RM when he isn’t even Muslim at all So of course he wouldn’t know what is offensive and what isn’t

He NEVER really said that lslam is a bad religionne said that he respect all beliefs and religion, it was not his intention to disrespect any religion, HE said in his recent live , some people are misinterpreting his words and spread lies. please have a heart , before hating him , try to know the situation
@T1mainstream
@T1mainstream Год назад
This song is about 'one sided love'. Being a poet, namjoon pays lot of attention to words. He is especially fond of heavy words with hidden meanings. If you follow the whole story in the song you will see that he calls an unrequited love "Bad Religion". His Bad Religion is loving someone who doesn't love him back which is also a metaphor for loving a god that doesn't love/answers him because he's gay and that's against his religion. So he's basically saying that loving someone who doesn't love him back (his Bad Religion) can't be good if he hurts himself. "Brings me down to my knees" refrerres to the unrequited love hurting him, making him pray so he asks for help to get through his heartbreak but he doesn't get an He calls an unrequited love Bad Religion. A synonym. When he is talking about the Bad Religion he doesn't mean actual Religion, he means unrequited love. It's the same word for him. And this song is about a story he has actually experienced where a Muslim taxic driver said that to him. Since the song came out a decade ago, he has changed the the “Allahu Akbar” lyrics. RM didn't post this song to slam a religion. Also, Frank Ocean never degraded Muslims. please, Muslim ARMYs, don't be incited by BTS haters. Frank Ocean's song clearly does not intend to disparage Islam. please, Muslim ARMYs should research his songs and not just look at parts of them. Please copy this article and correct any misunderstandings.

i have a question: i have heard about this song being islamophobic i'm a kpop stan, after all(": and i'm not muslim and don't practice islam, but is it ok for frank ocean to have specifically referred to islam without himself being a muslim? like i'd really understand if he himself was a muslim and drew the lyrics from his experiences with his religion (like lil nas x's cmbyn) but-- ok let me rephrase this- why do you think he specifically chose islam in the first place?
@victoria-cp4ui
@victoria-cp4ui 3 месяца назад
For the storyline of the taxi driver. Muslims were common in the area Frank was in as stated early in the video. Yes there’s other poc with other religions that are limited to taxi driver jobs too, but ultimately unless Frank have a bigger reason we don’t necessarily know. Also, Christianity is mentioned as well. He mentions a cult leader, so ultimately killed all of his followers It is not a call out on just one single religion For kpop, is it okay for le sserafim to be based on the Bible? I think it is. We do not necessarily know the religions behind every member, producer, creative director, etc of a project either. It’s all in the name of art and the human experience. No religion is not allowed to be criticized, as long as the criticisms do not attack the people. Plenty of Muslims love this song, plenty of them hate it. People are allowed to criticize the other side, even if they are not in the religion. I do not see this song as an attack on Islam, but rather a questionnaire of all religions and if someone is gay and isthemself then disproved in them, what make the religion good then? Or if they kill people ex the cult he also mentioned in the song, what makes them a good religion? It’s just art to think about and I doubt Frank holds any illness towards Islam or Christianity besides possible homophobia he has experienced.

Hi. I dont mean to be rude or anything like that. U may say that i dont understand the video is abt. But i find that its not abt Transphobic or Homophobic. Its just that we're born into this world startin with just 2 genders, why do u have to mix up ur mind with all these other stuff that just not right! U know...
@joannar2079
@joannar2079 4 месяца назад
gender is something that is entirely made up by people, and depends heavily from culture to culture. sex is what is biological, but even then, intersex people do exist. with gender, nothing is for certain. women can be strong, men can be emotional, men used to wear skirts, women cut their hair short, it all depends on the individual. gender roles are never accurate in all cases for men or women, and some people find comfort in identifying with neither or both. having 2 genders does not provide benefit for society. gender has been valued for the wrong reasons, such as oppressing women or putting pressure on men and isolating them. it has been valued for silly reasons too, like not letting people wear a piece of clothing. "being confused" is not an issue, transgender people face pain only because of the hatred they receive from others and lack of resources, not their own "confusion." if they received support, they would be completely fine. its not wrong either. conservative culture has simply made it wrong to step outside normal boundaries because people are either afraid of change, or push their religion onto others. hope this explained a different perspective a little more, i am glad you did not mean to be rude with your question.
