Hello guys, this video is kind of negative lot me include this DISCLAIMER :
The video you're about to watch is NOT first world problem. If you're not interested by luxury shopping experiences, you can skip it. This is only my own experience that I wanted to share with you. Obviously, I am not attacking anyone, just sharing my case. I know there are for more important things in life but it's my education that taught me to be honest so that's why I will always share GOOD and BAD experiences here. I hope this is useful in any way.

Sometimes it's a hit and miss with LV. You'll get the best service ever...and then go the next day and get the worse service ever.

Thank you for the video Alex. In fairness, I should say that I have received polite treatment always from the LV SAs here in the Melbourne boutiques. And the new (SLGs) items which I have bought from LV are holding up very well, especially my key wallet, which, being a key wallet, is certainly not babied (albeit, I do not abuse it, either). However, I have heard so many horror stories about LV here on RU-vid that I have made a conscious decision to buy no new LV items until they address their quality issues. I have a Speedy 30 and a Keepall 45 which were made 20+ years ago and they are both in fabulous condition. Recently I looked at a Speedy B 35 which was aching for. The bag canvas looked so painfully thin, that I could not bring myself to buy it. I knew something would go wrong with it eventually. I would love a Pochette Metis, but I just cannot bring myself to take a chance. I will get the Coach Cassie, if I do decide that I cannot live without this design. It is ironic that Coach is now offering a more reliable product than LV. And Coach customer service is first class. Have a fabulous day and I am hoping that LV looks after you better in future. Service and Quality are the only reasons to pay for luxury items, in my opinion. n

Most LV S.A are shitty. They are very rude and unprofessional. I live near South Coast Plaza shopping mall , Southern California, and the LV store there is horrible. I experienced more than 5 times with crapy service. Some people would ask me then why I still keep shopping there when they are not nice, the simple reason is that I just love LV bags. I go there just to buy my bags or wallet, not because of the sale associates, I dont care about them. I am not there to make friends with those stupid sale people there. I dont even remember what they look like. I don't want to waste my gas to drive to the different stores in LA or Hollywood because, to me, every store is the same, not much better with their service. In my opion, the LV sale associates are just like regular sellers in other department stores, no more than that. We dont need to expect them with higher level of service because they simply will never be. Some sale associate even don't have much knowlegde about the products they are selling. So, dont ever ask them a question like " is it normal to be like this ...?" because the answer you would hear is " yes, it is normal, or it is just wear and tear." My experience is when you want to buy something from the LV, do some research on youtube to get as much product information as you could, then go to the store and get it. Try not to ask those stupid people in the store question since you might get the BS answers. We dont need to care much about them. Just focus on the things we want to buy, thats all.

That is outrageous Alex, I am so sorry you were treated so poorly. I am having great doubts about LV lately - there are too many stories like yours. Both the quality of the product, and the customer service has dropped significantly.

Sylly thanks! Yes the problem is that you can’t have a faulty item or else they won’t commit and it’s so not safe anymore to buy LV I feel like :(

You are not alone. I bought a bag in Cannes last summer and the SA was terrible. She kept trying to upsell me on other products that I didn't want nor need. At the end, when she was ringing up my purchase she passed the bag to another colleague and in French told her not to bother wrapping it up. I guess she figured all Americans are clueless and can't understand any French....I complained to the store, but in the end I was happy to have the bag I wanted so what can you do...frustrating when we behave properly only to have someone in a sales role act like we are the poorly behaved ones! Sigh....but yes, I will still be shopping at LV hopefully later this month in Paris for a new bag!

Kara so rude?! I’m sorry for you. When I went to Cannes I stumbled upon a very nice SA even if I didn’t buy anything :/ like you say in the end it’s all about the bag but so lame they would ruin our experience

I left LV earlier this year due to poor quality. I carry two Chanel bags interchangeably now and will buy more. Although Chanel quality is deteriorate a little on popular bags like double flap, they look plasticky. We pay a lot for quality but companies are getting greedy. We will leave them soon if they keep this up. Then my Mercedes and other luxury items will take place of bags as status symbol. Lol

So sorry Alex that you had this bad experience. As I also work in retail and love luxury goods.I know how customers feel when they're not happy. I'm always pro customer and try to help even though my manager doesn't understand my point. I always think of myself, how I want to be treated if I need to go back and want a problem resolved

Hey Alex! Sorry to hear about your experience. What horrible customer service and no I don’t think this is a rant at all. Sounds like you tried working with them but they were just rude. They should be the ones going above and beyond to help you, not the other way around! 🤦🏻‍♀️ oh well I’m glad you’re still happy with your bag!

Hi Alex, you should stop spending at Louis vuitton if they are rude. I had 2 terrible experiences with them as well and I no longer shop there. They do not deserve your money. Take your money to another fashion house! :)

Good products let down by intolerably poor customer service. 3 bags bought over 2 years. Both the bags that arrived from direct online orders arrived damaged, one arrived USED. My partner opened the orange LV box on Christmas Day to find a used, damaged dirty bag. Payment issues, poor packaging, poor quality control and dreadful customer services. There is an obstructive, argumentative inability to admit responsibility by Louis Vuitton reps. When such poor behaviour is identified they childishly refuse to forward complaints to their seniors. Louis Vuitton have lost my family and I as customers. We respect ourselves and only buy from companies that respect us.

I know I just left a message on the Facebook group but yes it’s a lot on the season and the SA and on one of my videos I talked about this very thing regarding the merits as LV seems to blame the customer before they go further and I just feel it’s not only rude but talking down to the customer as they treat people like we don’t know what we are buying. I was like you and had a wonderful SA in the Bond Street store but she left to go to Chanel and my time in LV is not so pleasant and I have not been in since. Now I have moved house I have a new store 🎉

Hi, I like your videos so much and I would like to share my terrible experience at LV Bloomingdale’s Costa Mesa South Coast Plaza location. My husband bought me a Mother's Day gift which I didn't like much so my husband took the bag back for Return. First one of the staff suspected the bag has been used , which is not true, and also very rude and unprofessional to say to their customers. Than the store manager named Jennifer inspected the bag and said there is "a scratch" on the button of bag and accusing that's what I did. I never carry the bag out and I never noticed "the scratch" on the bottom of the bag until she pointed out because I didn't actually inspected "thoroughly" like Jennifer did when I bought it . Besides, the "scratch" she claimed can barely be seen only under some specific angle and it's more like a leather color difference to me. Honestly, even if I have had noticed before I bought, it would not be a problem to me. But sadly right now the "scratch " turns out to be my problem! Jennifer refused to take return not even offer store credit because she can’t resell it.. According to Jennifer all her sales are so well -trained by her they sell only 100% Perfect merchandise to customers. So once you pay and walk out the store all responsibilities are on you. I still feel so upset when I share this experience with you, the worst customer service I have ever encountered in the US. I saw a lady reviewed in yelp had exactly same experience with the same store manager, good to know I am not alone. Such a humiliate and unpleasant shopping experience ever!

I think it is LV cutting production cost per item...... I have a beautiful epi rucksack from 1994 I have abused it and it is still absolutely perfect.No marks,scratches or signs of wear. I worked at a massive house from 1992 and they hate any sort of return.🖤
