Bad Transfer Case Noise 

That’s odd, mine only did it during decel and coming to a stop

Would you truck reverse tho cause my don’t n I hear the noise

Mine never happened during reverse, or would only happen when it was downshifting slowing down, it would make the noise then it would feel like it would “re-engage” into gear. Atleast that’s what it sounded like.

Cause mine sounded like that but instead is wouldn’t go in gear only on 1st gear no reverse cause it makes that noise

N I also checked my trans oil nothing burnt still smells good still red so I think it’s the transfer case

It was only during deceleration, when coming to a stop. I put in a different transfer case and it fixed the issue

@@kazbekkazbekov3207 I just got one from u pic it and swapped it out. The inside of the old one was chewed up

It's a loose chain you gotta replace the chain that stretched

The teeth on the chain are worn down and they're not grabbing the gears they're just spinning right over the top of the phone

It’s a 2015 Silverado, it was the transfer case, I put in a different one because it was cheaper for me than to rebuild, but I would assume it was the chain also as mentioned above.

This was the transfer case, I changed it out. Haven’t had time to diagnose the other one.

Yes, I ended up finding a cheap transfer case with less miles than my truck. So I’m not sure what was happening in the transfer case I haven’t had time to pop it open to investigate.
