Tried this press break at practice last night with pressured defence right off the bat. The fact that the defence was confused, I couldn't believe how fast the ball moved up the court. You wouldn't dare blink on this one. Love it!

My U15 Boys ran this break all game last night... vs a double team/deny/M2M press. Either cross cutting guards or my center get open fairly easily. Depending on the catchers dribbling skill, we could either hold/bait and wait for the double team (then outlet/deep quickly) or burn/split the double team and attack the middle aggressively. My suggestion is to teach your press FIRST before you teach any breaks.. and run your press in game to make it 'good'. Any break works against a weak press.. and you don't want a weak press in practice. Teams that press regularly get good at it and adjust to anticipate your press break. In short, try to break your break.. so you can adjust and improve it. Allow for some improvisation based on your players skills.
