Our publishing company loved this show so much we published two business books (Change Management Lessons From Downton Abbey and Leadership Lessons From Downton Abbey). Both books use stories from the show to illustrate business lessons. Good job receiving the BAFTA!
Of course, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa's performance was incredibly gorgeous and moving, but another thing stood out to me about her. I always instantly love and respect a singer who immediately urges for their musicians/ accompaniment to share in the applause. CLASS ACT.
The most disappointing thing about the episode she appeared in was all the dialogues where they discussed her singing like it was unbearable and that it sounded enough like shrieking that it hid Anna's screams 🙄
That was SO good!!!! So amazing to see them all together and so clever and funny with Maggie Smith and Lord Crawley doing their skit at the end. AMAZING. So very witty!
3:17 that was a GREAT, FANTASTIC trailer for the show. Hats off to the editors for that. If any of you want to introduce a friend or family member to this amazing drama, I would say show them that trailer. It's a shame it's poor quality. If anyone knows of a better quality clip of that, please share it with us!
#YvonneIwonaD @ITV Surprised to know it was on BBC1 Not so in Britain. It's on Independent Television in Britain. You've made a mistake. This is owned by and shown on ITV . BBC are good at period drama, but this one isn't one of theirs.
@@organboi They all had 3-year contracts regardless if the show was a hit or a miss. His contract expired and he opted not to get it renewed. It's not his fault they killed him. Blame the writers for completely writing him off the show.
wonder how many seconds it took them to decide to put that song into the program. Dame Kiri is amazing, but it reminded me of anna's rape. i skipped it entirely. :/
