I remember when my mom went from an old kenmore canister vacuum to a dyson and hated it. I never understood why until I had to adult on my own. I got tired of vacuuming with a bagless and got a kenmore bagged vacuum thats sealed. No more dust clouds in my room after vacuuming. I'll never buy a bagless vacuum again.
My Eureka bagless vacuum finally died. I'm replacing it with a Hoover windtunnel max bagged vacuum. Emptying out the bagless was horrendous for my allergies. All the dust and other crap that it sucked up was then scattered into the air whenever I emptied the bagless canister. I ended up sneezing and having to wash my clothes to get all that crap off of me.
They showed two different Kenmore vacuums. The silver with black trim is the 31150 It has 3 motors for airflow/suction The silver with blue trim is the 31140 This one has two motors for airflow/suction and costs around $100 less
Bagless are amazing for cleaning stuff off of the top of carpets or hard floors. No bagless vacuum can deep clean carpets the same way a bagged vacuum can because of where the motor is located. Also, a bagged vacuum IS cleaner. The Kenmore I have (Which is identical to the one in this video) is bagged, and you can touch anywhere on the inside of the compartment where the bag is stored and it is always squeaky clean because it uses HEPA bags. Which means no filter changing or washing hardly ever, because the bag acts as a filter. When the bag is full, you just simply throw the old one away, and put in a fresh, clean bag, which is ultimately a fresh, clean filter as well, because of the fact that the HEPA bag, it results in your actual filters never clogging, and if they do, it will take a substantial amount of time in comparison and contrast to a bagless vacuum. So what I do is clean the surface of a carpet with my Shark, then I deep clean it with the Kenmore to save bags, because you want to pick up as much as you can with a bagless, rather than just needlessly fill up expensive bags (15-20$ for a pack of 6 bags where each bag lasts over a month (unless you’re vacuuming very dirty areas, or you’re filling them up with pet hair) Moral of the story, if you want it to look clean, by a bagless. If you want it to BE clean, buy a bagged. If you want to save on bags, buy both and clean with the bagless first, then go over everything with the bagged vacuum to properly deep-clean
That is BS unless you purchase a Dyson Cinetic and never allow the bin to overfill. Every bagless and bagged vacuum will lose suction once fine dust particles are vacuumed. The cyclones in a Dyson are the only things that can stop fine dust from clogging the filters… but even then, unless you have the Cinetic model, you have filters to wash, because flour sized particles can still reach the filter in a standard model, which will result in a clog and reduced suction and airflow. The main catch is that if you have a bagged vacuum and you use a HEPA bag, you will only need to replace the bag once the vacuum stops performing. When a bagless stops performing you have countless filters to wash and you have to let dry for 24 hours before you can use the vacuum again. The filters also warp due to heat and allow dust back into the air you breathe even if the vacuum is a sealed system. Which is why a HEPA bagged vacuum is the only way to go if you’re adamant about capturing dust and not allowing it back into the air.
I own a Hoover Commercial Hushtone and it's a really clean vacuum. Never liked bagless. Messy to clean and most residential vacuums are not fully sealed and their filtration is not on par with bagged vacuums. One reason why hospitals, schools, and carpet cleaning businesses like yours use commercial vacuums is because they are more durable, filter better, and are easier to clean than residential vacuums. Imagine being at work and having to empty the contents in the trash, wash the filters, wash the dirt bin, then having to dry everything before you can resume work. I'd rather remove the bag, toss it, and put in a new one and continue working.
