Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) talks to Bailey (Chandra Wilson) about being short with Nick. Bailey admits how overwhelming everything is right now and apologizes. Watch 'Grey's Anatomy' THURSDAYS 9/8c on ABC and Stream on Hulu.
I loved this scene I'm glad Meredith and Bailey worked it out . Bailey has always seen MAGIC in a motherly way and Meredith is the only one left and she is losing everyone. But i also agree with Meredith as much as it hurts its time for her to go somewhere else and be happy .it is her right.
No one has earned it more than her. But in reality the same place for almost 20 years. I couldn’t do that and no one I know could. It gets boring real fast.
I always thought of her as much more of an older sister than a mother. There's that mix of protectiveness and jealousy, love and also knowing the best words to cause pain.
I laughed when Bailey groaned in TMI after Meredith said, “He is”. Those 2 are a riot. I am glad they really talked about the pressures Bailey is facing.
So is Bailey, tho. She’s taken a lot of mental, emotional & professional Ls for Meredith (and her other interns) over the years, but she worked with them anyway because she cared and wanted them to succeed. Bailey was outta pocket for what she said, but she was also going through an unimaginable amount of pressure (again) and probably thought Meredith was just leaving her out to dry (again)… and potentially for a guy (again). It wasn’t right, but Meredith has had her moments of doing “unforgivable” things & Bailey looking past it to find room for Meredith anyway. Bailey deserves a bit of grace from Meredith, too.
I’m still angry 😠 at her, I don’t understand why out of all the people she’s taking it on Mer, to even say such hideous things. Why not Richard or anyone one else
@@jackieBarnesjaylob being swamped at work isn't an excuse to be rude to your team. She was rude to Amelia and Maggie, Nick, Levi, and Meredith during the episode. Mostly outside this room. Good leader's should try to show their team how they are valued all the time, and not let their personal stress affect others.
No fr I need a better one for them both. She always apologizes like this and there were soo many low blows in the initial convo. I hate it for her characte tbh
Nooo she doesn't mean well, Bailey has always been jealous of Meredith the moment she found out that she is with derek and the moment she found out that she is the daughter of Ellis grey, she always thought Mer had a good life while she never pause to know her she has been judging Mer from day one so nothing there about meaning well
@@maureenavilia208meredith has absolutely nothing for bailey to be JEALOUS. she sees meredith literally as one of her children. no one and i mean NO ONEEEE😂 thinks or thought meredith had an "easy life" what the hell☠️.
I laugh when Meredith said "He is" 😂😂😂 and I'm glad that Bailey apologized to her for calling her "That Girl" the funny part is that Richard is drunk 😂😂😂 I can't wait for this episode
Stoned. Richard was stoned, and to call him drunk is an insult to all the work he's done to achieve and maintain sobriety. Not funny in the slightest In this instance I'm not nitpicking or word policing, but acknowledging an essential part of Weber's character growth
@@ALyric19 in a vacuum you _might_ have had a defensible position. However, within the context of this specific character on this specific show, there is a *HUGE* difference.
@@subman23 and what is that huge difference please enlighten. Stoned already means not sober. And that's breaking the sobriety. No coming back from that
Oh, it was incredibly cheeky. But if you can't be cheeky with someone you've known for nearly 20 years who can you be cheeky with? Even if she's your boss?
Have we been watching the same show? Bailey was never one for mushy apologies. She’s so hard on herself that she gets angry for being wrong, and she panics like that and gets scared. She mentioned in s6 when she apologised to Ben when the patient woke up on the table. I’m not happy with how she talked to Mer, but she is watching the institution she grew up in, taught in, became chief in, crumble before her eyes. She’s all over the place but at least she knows she did something wrong.
@@alexandramoyer8785 No she doesn't the only person Bailey apologies to Ben only, and here she said sorry as if she was forced and it's because Mer said first, plus everyone is entitled to there feelings but Bailey takes it too much on Mer any chance she gets to hurt Meredith she always go full force and makes sure she includes the people she loved that are already dead.
My ideal way to end Greys anatomy is that Meredith spends the next season trying to save the residence program. Then when she’s about to leave(walk out the doors). She’s hit with a bunch of flashbacks through a whole episode that she narrates. Then it ends with the guy from the other hospital asking if she’s ready to go and she just looks at the hospital, then back at him and the screen goes black.
Weak yet sincere… I’d take that over nothing any day 🙂 Bailey needs to start initiating apologies, absolutely, but at least it was sincere and she humbled herself regarding Nick-it’s the olive branch I needed from her 😊
I think Bailey needs to improve the "apologize skills", apologize to Nick for her stone cold first conversation with him and say to Nick what she told Meredith about... him.
It makes more sense that they got a divorce than that they got married. Their marriage was sooo much wishful thinking on their part. It was hard to believe they got married and easily to believe it didn't work.
This is the stuff I don't like about giving women power positions why do they have to write them catty or give them insecure mean girl energy or mentality damaged. I like a Bailey but but I hate they made her soft to give this no woman can do it alone crap. They do it with men sometimes but it is always the women go to storyline.
Y’all know why Bailey and Richard is so upset I mean look who all left and they was all fine with Mer is like Bailey daughter and Richard like her father and the take everything she does how hard and over reacts to it
I'm watching this show and there's one thing that the show didn't explain why did April and Matthew get a divorce (can someone please tell me why they got a divorce)
There's an episode where they explain. He still had a lot of resentment toward her for leaving him at the altar the first time, and they thought they were meant to be together after he lost his wife and she lost a baby, but it just wasn't the fairy tale ending they pictured.
Bailey was not cheif when she left for Boston she iven Said no to take over for grey to be cheif again she nows is allmost destroyed her. And she is more back to her original self now.
bailey needs to learn how to properly apologise without making it all about her lol. pretty bad apology. Meredith is anything but selfish. SHE DESERVES TO LEAVE
You guys overreact to Bailey.... The only person she has sincerely apologised to is her husband and now Mer. The way they have both handled this conversation just makes it clear to me that neither of them are perfect, but they try! They got it wrong, yes and they will continue to get it wrong, but they will also continue to learn.
I just started to hate Bailey character over time. They should have just killed her off. Bailey makes everything about her. When she does something wrong she expects people to expect it and move on but when someone else does something wrong she. Does not let them of the hook. When they made Owen hunt Cheef of surgery she was jelouse. It’s always about her .
institution she grew up in, taught in, became chief in, crumble before her eyes. She’s all over the place but at least she knows she did something wrong.
You do realize that there is a severe doctor shortage right? I work in a hospital. We are short everywhere. Covid is still affecting hospitals and their workers.
I don’t blame Bailey for being mad. Meredith needs to stop following men everywhere and realize she’s ripping her kids away from every person who loves them to follow a boy 🤦♀️
I think she wants to leave Seattle far more than she actually wants to go to Minnesota. If it was mainly Nick she would have a discussion about who should move. This is more about trying to escape Seattle and be somewhere new.
@@junbh2 I disagree. I do t think she wants to leave her home at all but I think she will because of nick. Ugh they no chemistry. At this point I could less. I have been so bored with the show the last 3 years. The magic of greys is long gone unfortunately.
I disagree. And so will many viewers. If you have watched the show, particularly after Jackson left and the start of this season, it’s apparent that Meredith was looking for something to lead her out of Seattle. It’s like she said, there’s too many memories. She’s watched all of her friends leave, the ones who have known her from the start, and it’s finally her turn. She isn’t leaving for solely for Nick. He might be a factor, but he isn’t the only reason. And I don’t know where you get off saying she follows men everywhere when that’s not remotely true. She didn’t follow Derek to D.C. She put her foot down with him and refused to budge. Also, it’s not as if her kids can’t make new friends and visit Seattle. Did you hold this same attitude when Callie took Sofia away from her only home?
If she were following a boy she would have left months ago, it would have made her work in Minnesota much easier. Sounds just like you hate that she’s dating Nick and you’re searching for excuses to justify it, to be quite frank.
Everyone on this show looks so old now.. literally Richard is like the walking dead. Bailey needs a touch of make up come on.. The show needs to end cause it's time.
Why wouldn't they? Given their whole history and how much they both had changed and been through it's a miracle they lasted as long as they did. Having them get married at all was barely believable but could be explained by making bad decisions in the middle of grief.
