Hero of Cardassia, The Ballad of Legate Damar - Damar, the man they call Damar! He robbed from the Dominion and gave to the poor. Stood up to the Shapeshifters and he gave them what for. Our love for him now ain't hard to explain, the hero of Cardassia, the man they call Damar!
I agreed with Gul Dukat's destroying the ship with the Klingons on it. They were never going to stop. You don't hold a rabid badger but you snap its neck.
@@toomanyaccounts Yes, assuming that Kira was remotely controlling the transporter ship's transporters versus the Klingon transporters. That device she had with her may have been part of it.
Dukat wasn’t sorry to see that cargo ship blown up. The image of his humiliation, destroyed by his own hand. He’d probably have blown it up even if there weren’t Klingons on board.
I always thought it would have been cool if they beamed the planetary disruptor over to the Bird Of Prey before destroying the ship along with the Klingons. Get some extra firepower. But then again Dukat didn't have it planned at this point to attack the Klingons with their own ship and he could have salvaged another if he wanted to. You should have kept in the "Was that really necessary?" "Your the terrorist, you tell me." moment.
I think a more realistic version of Dukat would have let the Klingons go to curry favor with Kira. As much as he would have wanted to spill their blood, building a relationship with Kira would have been more useful to him, and he would have calculated as much.
as much as Dukat wanted to get in her pants, personal power and petty recognition from the masses is his greater motivation thus permanently securing his control and unknown control of the bird of prey from the Klingons is more important in that regard.
@@DavidKnowles0 i think there could be a security in place requiring a separate override...to prevent that someone get accidentally beamt in a hazardous area...that may could have drawn some attention "transporter security override". Since they were preparing a boarding party anyway, it made more sence to add a routine when it gets processed, to beam everyone to the other ship and sync it with your transport to beam you over...that way they could stay under the radar since for the klingons it ws business as usual
Watching this I JUST figured out why the actors always had to hold very still while firing their phasers. With the cgi they had at the time, they couldn’t show a beam that moves as the phaser moves.
@@MichaelRaineyEh, no. They've always used image compositing for phaser beams all the way back to TOS. Drawing directly on the frame cells is a more primitive method they didn't use. But by this time in DS9 the effects were CGI, as were a good portion of the ships/space battles. Then in Voyager it went 100% CGI.
Vfx error in that Kira used the Klingon transporters to transport the Klingons to the Cardassian ship, but they used the Cardassian transporter effect.
Did you catch the name of the Klingons who were so easily dispatched? Neither did I. Some characters come equipped with plot armour, others get the " Cannon Fodder" tatoo.
I think it’s the star trek lore channel that mentioned in beta content, the reason why breen wear suits is that horrific experiments were done to them. The video explanation is also chilling because there are semi-regular screams in the background
You know in a way, it was Keira actions in this episode that made her partially responsible for the dominion war. Dukat would never have made it to the dominion without the bird of prey and it cloaking device.
@@christopherg2347 Without a base such as Cardassia there would be no way the Dominion could wage war in the Alpha Quadrant and the founders would all be dead in 2 or 3 years after these events because of Section 31 actions. Kiera action here cost billions of lives.
Klingon warriors have, among other things, been beaten by a drunk Scotty, a middle-aged Kirk, Jadzia Dax, Deanna Troi and a barrel. They're vastly overrated.
