I still don't get why standard telescopic forks are looked down on as compared to USDs. Just because it's inverted doesn't mean it's better. Suspension should be judged based on ride and handling, not the spec sheet.
Check the refinement of Bajaj bikes 2 years down the line n 5 years down the line.. You will understand.. The Japanese machines go on to get smoother n smoother as they age in comparison!!.. Talk Refinement n consistency in it for long time.. The Japanese are unmatched in all segment bikes in the world 😎
I got Gixxer 250 in Nov'20 (Diwali). Even though I was a Bajaj loyalist, the Gixxer is the better city bike. I have ridden Interceptor, Dominar 400 (1st gen) for a few good hundred kms. The sales and service support of Bajaj was laughable at best, (book first, test ride later), the Suzuki is clearly packed together much tighter. It is much stiffer, but there is nothing that beats the 'ease of use' (no traffic slicing comparison here) The Dominar is heavy, you will feel the weight everytime you take it off the side stand, and the low seat helps, but good forbid you have to pick up the bike. I have done a 120kms ride on Gixxer, the bike is meant for cruising not more than 100kmph, I am 6 feet tall, the wind blast while not huge was felt a bit more due to the tall seating. Unless you plan to do K2K rides (kanyakumari to kashmir or vice versa), the Gixxer should suffice, the weight will make a difference every time, its as easy to commute as my old Pulsar 135 on it, and if & when you choose to gun it, it will go fast enough to satisfy any speed cravings on might have. Every single person who has ridden the Gixxer, has been left nothing but 100% impressed with the package. The Dominar isnt bad, but unless you are a hardcore tourer, youre better off with Gixxer (again this is from a Bajaj loyalist, who doesn't mind paint chipping off from every area even after the best care one can do) Bonus point, Gixxer 250s are much rarer than Dominars in my city (Lucknow), so big exclusivity factor. Using Suzuki Gs 150 r since last 10 plus years. Today also this beast can comfortably cruise on highway at 85kmph with pillion effortlessly all day long. Smooth engine. Its SUZUKI.
No one is talking about the fact that domi is 24 kg heavier but still provide same mileage. I know weight is in heavier side but straight line stablity is unmatchable also slipper clutch,seat comfort for rider and pillion usd forks better braking and services are better than gixer
Dominar 250 is good for 1. price 2. Engine and power 3. Big bike feel 4. Planted feel 5. Suspension 6. Breaks and abs quality Gixxer 250 is good for 1. Filtering traffic 2. Short rides 3. Reliability
I'm from the northeast and as you guys know the streets are usually narrow,hair pin bend,steep inclined, steep decline. With limited meters of straight road. Ok so a few months ago I was on my way to work.the traffic speed was at 12-15 kmph and there was a domi250 it was trying to catch up.as the road started going up I was sensing some lagging sound it even stalled more than 5 times.I felt sorry for that guys choice and also felt happy because my sf250 didn't bother even at such low speed to climb in 2nd 3rd gear fellas Gixxer/sf 250 shouldn't be underestimated.
The dominar 250 is a big bike with a small engine bolted on while the Gixxer is a small 150cc bike with a big engine bolted on, each has its own upsides and downsides
Dominar 250 with atleast 140 section tyre and 10kg less weight...it will be beast 🔥... Hope for RS250 with same engine, slipper clutch and smart bluetooth display 👄 with less weight weight ❤️
Nice comparison! If someone is spending that much, I would recommend considering Dominar 400 as well :) Weight to performance ratio is much better with 150R tyre ;)
I bought the dominar a week ago and I m just loving every bit of it.. of course it might feel heavy a bit but when it comes to Highway cruising and seating it's better than the Gixxer in my opinion and it's good value for money too..
Suzuki engineering vs Bajaj engineering..... Bajaj has improved a lot... But long term reliability has to improve a lot... But m sure one day they will have a product to the level of the big 4 from land of the rising Sun... Cheers ride safe
Considering to the early pickup and making high speed in less time surely Gixxer is great but Domi is of its charm with less stress out engine showing no signs of submission when you pull it to the higher rpm this is what made me like Domi more , trust me guys I had test drive on both
*Question* Gixxer SF or Gixxer SF 250? 65% City rides & 35% touring! If Mileage, Ride quality and Power are to be considered, what would you recommend?
The only complaint I have with my Dominar 250 is that the company should have atleast given the broader tyre or they should have given the display same as D400.🙏🏻
Mai 250cc Bike Lena chahata hu. Meri priority hai, very comfortable suspension and very smooth engine. Avg around 35 kmpl, Budget 1.70 lakhs. Mai ne Yamaha FZ 25 and Pulsar N 250 mein se kaunsi bike Leni chahiye please.
I really dont knw why people think dominar is better motorcycle cycle..... Japanese engines dont have any comparison...... These engines last so longs whereas bajaj's engine are not last long..... Bajaj last 40k 50k and uh can see the performance change after 9 months or 1 year.....but suzuki engines give same feel.....
BS6: Duke 250 vs Gixxer SF 250 vs Dominar 250 vs FZ25 vs Svartpilen 250 Waiting for it! The Dominar is a hunky looking bike, whereas the Gixxer has the appeal of a small sports bike. I love the Dominar's looks, how it really needed the 150 Section tyre at the back.

These 2 bikes are more practical. If u r a thrill seeker get Duke 250, Husqvarna. Gixxer- city use + Light highway use, better build, better response, handling, built, top speed 145+. Almost as good as undisputed 250cc king cbr250. Dominar - better at highways, slightly better comfort, brakes feels better, sounds better, colors choice better
Bajaj is the world's most valuable 2 wheeler company so i hope that in 2021 they carpet bomb the industry with new pulsars and dominars loaded with features
Still the Bajaj will outsell the SuZuKi Cuz There's a Bajaj showroom everywhere you turn your head And maintenance is livable for a wannabe rider on a budget
Adding a comment because this video is relevant even today..bajaj should have thrown away that exhaust and stuck with an underbelly exhaust or the old domi 400's exhaust. They could have saved some weight and wouldn't have looked odd from the rear.
Gixxer 250 🏁 for win Dominar can't match with quality and performance of Gixxer. Only problem u might face will be availability of spares, service centers and suzuki is overcoming with that issue. Have used both Bajaj and suzuki bikes.
