Found back this gem in my collection : some basic moves of Baji Quan demonstrated by Chang YuGang from MengCun village. There are two kinds of people in this world : thiose who have Fali and those who don't :-) ...
It is not really a form, rather just single movements training. In MengCun line they are called Dan Shou Cao (单手操, single hand drills) rather than JingGang bashi. You can find these movements in the different forms of Baji (xiaojia, danda, si langkuan, xingpi, etc.).
Thanks for this. I have gleaned further understanding of this style compared to xingyi or Chen taiji (and I actually see similarities to both). Thanks again.
Nice video. I always enjoy watching Bajiquan in action, especially hearing a practitioner's feet stomp against the ground. You can hear, see, and almost feel the power generated from each technique.
@Veilliron : not everybody knows how to practice baji in MengCun (otherwise it would be like 10 000 people doing baji), but it is a local speciality, so everybody at least has heard of it. Kids go practicing before and after school everyday, so the local potential is high ...
Nice one, a lot of power behind the movements :-) May I ask - do also most of the habitants of Mengcun know baji (similar to people of the Chen village, where almost everyone has knowledge about Chen style Taichi)?
yep, understood, Shaolin has Dan Shi (Single Postures) drills which are the same. The Li Rundong practiced Shaolin Jingang Bashi first before he learned Baji Quan and Yang Taiji Quan and he introduced them movments into Baji Quan training,
@BajiFreak : thanks :-) didn't know Mengcun has so many people (but of course, its very few in comparison to other cities in China) I would greatly welcome such martial-arts tradition here in Europe too, perhaps it would make growing up kids more interested in physical activities and develop a good character ;-)
In real fight, only one attack is valid. Real fight is not sparring. If you think that you can use one and two punch..as time passed....an enemy can use weapon or notice your fighting style...
ur right but sparring will increase ur survive chance if the enemy do familiar patterns from sparring u can do something about.... if he use a knife... its over anyways
@@BajiFreak Awesome! I've been watching and re watching your videos and scooping all bajiquan material there is on youtube, as i really like baji and i'm learning every form, my dream is opening a gym and teach people about Baji, but its a long, long journey i have ahead. I was curious, have you seen Tekken' Leo Kliessen bajiquan? If you have, how realistic it is? Also, do you any social media where i can follow you like instagram or facebook? :)
