He reminded me a little of my brother who I lost when he was 58 years old. I loved watching Steve, he really knew his cooking of some delicious food. My prayers will include Steve and our wonderful memories of him, RIP Steve.

I just ran across this video and was immediately impressed as I was off to a good learning start ... I have Baked Cabbage Steaks in the past but misplaced my recipe so to RU-vid I ran. From the way he cut the cabbage into steaks to the adding Olive Oil to the Butter (in other words from start to finish) I learned a ton of Information, tips and top notch Techniques. while reading the comments to search for something to be pointed out that I may have missed while viewing the video I learned Steve has Passed since this video was made, seems like a great guy that loved making life better for others . My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. I will be searching for more videos from Shotgun Red.

i have just read the posts that steve has passed away and its a tragedy i love watching him and hearing sheila chatting too , if a successful life is measured in how much happiness you send into the world and how much love you receive in return i would say steve had a hugely successful life because we your viewers love you my friend 💔 and your videos will live on forever spreading more happiness into world even after you have left us .... my deepest sympathy to steves family close friends and of course his sidekick sheila - god bless you steve you are as you will always be a legend - Thankyou so much for caring and sharing your videos love john sapcote u.k 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

I can just see the huge smile on Steve's face reading this comment. He loved his viewers! He always thought of the kitchen here as making recipes with you all instead of for. He always loved to pass on knowledge that he learned himself. There is a video on here called History of Shotgun Red it tells how he started till 2018 and also you can click on shotgunred1000 and it will show Steve out fishing and in his garden and being out on the road etc. Let me know if you see those. I LIKE! It takes me a bit more time because I'm using a toaster oven. Garlic and Smoked Paprika is SOOO good together. This works for my low carb life!

OMG, you made me so hungry watching this that I had to make it immediately!! I only had one cabbage, but I used a whole stick of butter on THAT!! I did everything you said except I used garlic powder since I didn't have fresh...I also mixed Mexican 4 cheese with parmesan for every steak! This tasted so amazing...THANK YOU!!! I will definitely be watching more of your recipes :)

I do this myself, but a little bacon !! cut up about 1” pieces I put on top while baking in the oven !! About the end I myself I use Mexican blend cheese along with the pepper jack cheese I put on top just long enough to let it melt then it’s ready to eat another little kick but after it’s baked I like to have a little zesty Italian dressing and sprinkle over mine !!!

Me again. Today's date: 4/12/24. Fixed these up, short story, wife loved them! I did too! I served with chicken, whoops. Poultry is too light to carry this off, wasn't bad just could have been better. Next time: ham. Anyway, thanks again for stirring up archives and reaching deep. I just baked this. I had no olive oil so used coconut oil spray. Couldnt find my paprika, So I used Italian seasoning . I used a mix of provolone and mozzarella cheese turned oven to 400 the last 10 and added a bit of time!! Its delicious!! Cabbage provolone!! Thanks!!

When making the marinade, I would recommend putting it in a mixing bowl and whisking the ingredients together. To ensure thorough homogeneity, one could also cook it over low heat for 30 minutes to an hour with occasional stirring. Finally, pour the marinade over a strainer to remove any unnecessary residual pieces. Measure the full volume and determine how much is available and divide accordingly for all the cakes.
