DESCRIPTION
The Bakeey E66 is the first temperature band I’ve come across that can display in Fahrenheit as well as Celsius. It also can check your temp every 10 minutes to every hour, your choice, continuously, and vibrate if your temperature exceeds a threshold you set. There’s a true ECG system in it the can acquire an ECG chart, submit it to an AI agent, and get feedback on your heart health, all through the new tethered app, SmartHealth. For the price this is definitely something worth considering.
NOTE: Since making this video, I discovered that for Blood Pressure readings, there's an option to put in a personalized setting if your readings tend to be low, normal, slightly high, or overall high, and the readings from this device will be adjusted to more closely match your normal condition. Then you can use the readings from the E66 to inform you if your BP is abnormally high, low, or remaining average for your condition. Sorry for the oversight, but it's buried way deep in the personalization setup area of the app.

I ordered a E66 on May 25 from China. It was handed to a airline on June 1 and left China for the US. It was supposed to be delivered in 32 days. It finally arrived in my mailbox from Singapore on Aug 17. I thought I'd have to recharge it to get it to work, but to my amazement, it still had power after almost three months of traveling around the globe.

That is typical now. I get the same thing. Tracking will pick up once it is handed off to the "last mile" deliverer when it arrives in your country. Sure will be nice to learn what you find after you get yours and compare with the enclosed manual.

@@SWT Same thing. I didn't hear anything since June 1 and suddenly it got tracked by USPS starting on July 26 when the package was picked up at Singapore. Now it says "Your package is moving within the USPS network" so fingers crossed.

In order to "calibrate" the blood pressure readings you first must go to Settings. Then to Device Status where you must CONNECT to the E66. If you do not CONNECT, you will not see the BP (blood pressure) option when you tap your photo and go to User Info.

Being a research analyst, I tracked down a real time demonstration. He only speaks Japanese but I did not care! I only needed to see the physical technique used to remove it without breaking it! Wow is it extremely tough to remove and you still must be careful because it requires a lot of force, while making sure you are at the correct angle!! But it is worth it! One of my Family members is a Nurse and we checked it out and the readings are on point at the commercial level (because this is NOT a medical device). She called it Star Trek and is amazed that for $35ish dollars it works as well as the three plus devices that she uses that combined cost a lot more. (I am (Sad) ashamed for the USA that we do not make all the Tech items I have to get from China here in the USA!!

This is a quite a surprise. I tried out the Strava running app on Google Playstore and it was able to access the heart rate sensor data on the watch and display the heart rate every second. This means you can potentially get more functionality out of this watch recording heart rate every second. Just need to figure out where that data is stored in Strava as iam new to this app. It also works with the Samsung Health App.

Great video as always! Already have one on order. I blame YOU for this addiction Mr Ticks! 😆 For the temperature comparison, try taking off the watch and then measuring your skin where the watch sensors were asap using your fancy expensive gadget. I'd hypothesize that the watch is warming up your skin and making it a bit moist with sweat, making the skin under the watch a different temperature than the skin a mere 1/2 an inch to the left or right.

Being in the medical field. The thermometer used is not for the forearms. The one pictured can be used and is fairly accurate. We use them at work. I was considering the Spovan Blade but this one appears to cover everything I'm looking for.

Yea, the constant contact with the band may affect the overall temperature, but a calibrated study as you suggested would be needed to tell how much. Factor in the ambient temperature difference from very cold, to very hot and everything in-between, and we have the same situation as trying to give one number as to how long a smartwatch battery will last. When there's too many variables affecting the outcome, it just gets overwhelming. I see your logic though, and it makes sense. I guess if my reading were 105 degrees F rather than within a couple of tenths of what the IR was reading I'd be worried. Still can't beat that old mercury thermometer under the tongue. Those were the days.

I bought exactly this band. I've got her a week. Measurement on request works. I don't want to monitor automatically. Set to 10 minutes. Checked on three phones. Several reboots, installations, shutdowns, settings records and the band do not monitor automatically.

It monitors in increments, from every 10 minutes up to every hour, not continuously, so it is functioning properly. Check the phone app and you'll see on the charts.

This week, the BP, heart rate, and sleep modes are not recording anything. When I manually try to take BP, heart rate, or EKG reading, I get an error message. I reset the app to manufacturer's setting and uninstalled and reinstalled the app,, but the problem remains. Do you know how this problem can be fixed

Wow, it sounds like the band is defective for some reason. I haven't heard of this problem before. You tried all the things I would suggest. If it's new, I'd recommend returning it for a refund or exchange.

Hooray a watch battery that lasts ! The V19 was pretty good but 18hrs between recharges pretty bad and probably the worst sleep tracking of any watch i have. This E66 is definitely better .Now all they have to do is make them usable outside! Keep up the good work Mr Ticks your costing me a fortune lol My biggest bane with some of these 'smart' watches is they are tied to the phone i garden and metal detect and its damned annoying whilst on my knees resting on my hands the back of my wrist can touch the buttons resetting the watch ,some remember the time but some need the phone to reset the time and i don't take my phone most days i have enough to carry never mind finding something to put a phone in that's safe. Rant over keep safe Mr Ticks

You mention (25:12 mins) the green diode capability to do sleep apnea analysis and Lorenz scatter diagrams, but Lorenz plots have nothing to do with diodes. They are populated with ECG tracings from a Holter device. In this case, the Holter device is replaced by the E66. For a quick explanation, refer to Wikipedia's article on Poincare plots.

Yes, the Poincare plots represent a general category of graphic plotting which conforming to the same style of graphing information, but the Lorentz plots, or diagrams, are specific to what we are trying to measure here via a Poincare plot style of representation. If I said green diodes, I really meant the red ones as red is much better suited for blood oxygen measurement and are switched on during the night to acquire the data that populates these L diagrams, from what I understand. Deriving the data from ECG would be a challenge as ECG requires electrical connection with opposing electrodes across the heart, which, of course, doesn't happen during sleep.

The scatter plots are obtained from pulse-to-pulse time by optical PPG, not from ECG since you have no closed electrical circuit. So basically any LED diode is OK for this purpose. The red is dedicated to measure SpO2.

I think most of the temp discrepancy will be due to the heat build up under the watch, after all it's an electronc gizmo. You should have moved the watch and checked where the watch was.

According to the specially printed card that came with the box, the proper ECG test method is to use two fingers together. Since the manufacturer apparently considered this important, it might have been nice to follow the prescribed procedure. You asked about the temperature probe (34:30 mins). According to page 1 of the manual, the temperature sensor is the right base electrode. If you change your age and sex, will your blood pressure readings improve?

Thanks for reading the manual! I'll check all this out on my E66. Within the app when you start taking an ECG it says to place one finger on the electrode at the bottom and it shows one finger in the picture.

Nice review. Few questions. What's the minimum monitoring interval for heart rate. Can you also export or download the data to your PC? It would be nice to see how accurate the SPO2, Blood pressure and heart rate against medical grade equipment as you did with temperature.

After much browsing I finally found the other list of menus. They were sitting under device Status. Minimum monitoring interval is 10 mins. There's no way to export the sensory data. There should have at least been a csv file option.

Checking in I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! My preliminary tests indicate that the pedometer is trash! This is the third day and today I was in the backyard cleaning and it states that I have 16000 steps!! The device on my other arm States 8,000 steps.. of course I have rounded the numbers off for brevity but you cannot double that number and reconcile the outcome!! The initial discrepancy I chalked off to being in a moving vehicle after my workout and it recorded the miles as steps! ***Now it is looking like a recording flaw! I will check back in 2 to 3 days... FYI it did accurately trigger the high body temperature alarm because I was working in the 12pm Sun in the backyard. (I took a 7up break).. Salute

This is a common problem because the smart bracelet is located on your wrist. So there's a tendency to count arm movements, especially repetitious ones like hand-washing clothes, as steps. Counting car rides as steps is another common problem because you're moving over a distance.

This one is pretty bang good. I'll get one, but the soft bands on my previous bracelet have deteriorated over time and have fallen apart in several places. Manufacturers can go too soft with materials for bands, looking for more comfort.

Hello I just purchased a tracker that looks identical to the bakeey e66 on Amazon but the brand was called zeekeer (no model number of the device) and the app it say to download is wear heart. I was wondering if maybe amazon made a mistake on the branding or if someone knocked off this product. I tried to find info on the zeekeer brand but can't find anything, could you help me look that up?

FYI... You never did reveal how to remove the band to charge it!! The included instructions are vague and I'm having a devil of a time with it! I don't want to break it trying to remove the band! Now I will have to put my research analyst hat on and track down a video that clearly demonstrates how to accomplish it!

Sorry about that. There's usually something left out. Just hold the watch body tight and wiggle off the bottom band from the body with some solid force. UPS charging strips are visible, so make sure you stick it into the charger the right way for charging. The watch will show you on the screen if it is charging. Shove the band back on the same way. BTW, you can reverse top and bottom bands if you prefer to strap yours on the other way. Both are removable.

Hi, thanks for the review. I personally wear the Asus VivoWatch BP for blood pressure monitoring (almost perfect match when calibrated with the cuff device) and during the night the Spovan Blade for SpO2 and HRV analysis. I still wait for one wearable device that can do all in one (plus the temperature monitoring, at least with good relative accuracy)

There's a big difference with the E66 and the other sleep apnea monitoring watches/bands like the H20 and Spovan Blade. I'd go for the H20 over the E66 as it's more practical in what it measures and reports. If you get them both, you'll have everything covered!

@@SWT you should buy some cuff BP measurement device from the pharmacy store and do the checks. I was surprised that this band is quite accurate! Temperature has some offset but it shows the trend. Unfortunately the Phone app does not show all the measured points.

Which is the best Bakeey Health Band according to you? So far v19 seemed the one with most in depth features except the temperature readings. But I would defianately take your advice as the best HealthBand model and order online. BTB, I am 32.

That's a tough question. I personally use the Spovan Blade over the V19, but it's personal choice as they both do mostly the same thing. The E66 gives us temperature, but lacks the green diodes for deep SpO2 monitoring and, thus, can't produce Lorentz scatter plots daily or monitor for sleep apnea during the night. So If you are going to buy only one, you need to decide if constant temperature monitoring is more important than constant blood oxygen monitoring. As a practical consideration, blood oxygen shifts much faster than temperature, and the effect of a serious drop on blood oxygen could be more concerning than a rise in temperature, which could separately be monitored with a simple thermometer. So I would lean to the Spovan Blade or V19 as a daily driver health band. Now overlay with all this that the E66 produces excellent ECG information, including the vast AI analysis (free, by the way while others charge for this), and I prefer periodic ECG sampling with the E66. It appears to be able to store a bunch of them (I haven't reached a limit yet) and transfer all of them at once when tethered back to the phone. AI can be run against each of them one by one, and I've found out some interesting things which, as I think I mentioned in the video, I discussed with may doctor and he's entered in my file for future monitoring. So the E66 did exactly what I want in a health band. It gave me instant reading at the moment I needed it, assessed an provided limited, but illuminating, assessment, and prodded me to take formal medical action without self-diagnosing so those trained in heart health would have an otherwise new awareness of how my body is functioning. So for that, I like the E66. So here's what I do. I wear the Spovan Blade at night to get the thorough SpO2 monitoring and Lorentz scatter plots, and during the day I wear the E66, especially while exercising or working in the yard, so I can take instant 30 sec ECGs for later assessment within the app.

I have it but the ECG and the sleep pattern function don't work . Although I get the ECG, it keeps telling me the signal is weak and doesn't give me the AI analysis. I tried on both wrists multiple times. It never records my sleep either. The other functions work well.

For the ECG, try and moisten your arm under the electrodes and moisten your finger tip that touches the front plate. Added moisture usually helps. I'm not sure what's up with the sleep not recording.

Actually, having both, one on each arm, would be my ideal. Between the two, the Spovan Blade does much better with Blood Oxygen, Lorentz scatter plots, and even sleep apnea alarms. But the E66 has temperature, and the ECG chart AI analysis is awesome. It's easy to take multiple readings stored on the band that you can transfer later and run the AI any time. So for the combined price, I'd honestly say, get both.

The straps just wiggle off, but they need quite a bit of force. I've shown it in some other videos with bands that have built-in USB charging in the module like this.

Oh, sorry, just wiggle the bands off of the body and plug into the charger. Make sure it goes in the right way to make contact as it can go in both ways.

It only can with two A4 size sheets of instruction. Should I be worried about authenticity? I wouldn't worry too much about the instruction sheets as long as it works properly. After I review these devices I generally put them away and save them in case I need them in future videos, so I don't have long term test results for you. Sorry.

Hi two questions .....does it have the red ir sensor for blood oxygen? And how does it have a week of battery usage having a relatively small capacity battery .....do you have a comparison of battery life against let s say the p10 with the bigger battery?

No red sensor but it does do temperature. Haven't seen a watch or band yet that has both. I don't do battery testing on these units so I can't advise you on that.

Hi, thanks for your vid. I am working with the V19 now (tks to you) and was excited to see your review of this new model. Do I presume the E66 doesn't use the infra-red with the green light?? That one to me seems an important distinction, you have mentioned with the Spovane and the V19. I'm not looking for cheap$, just good features for my client work. Wasn't really impressed with the temperature inaccuracy. Two or three degrees can be a huge variation from actual.

Yea, sorry for not showing it. You just wiggle it and pull and it will come off. Don't twist it and be careful of the metal contacts on the plastic that they don't bend when you put it back on.

@@SWT Thanks. Here's a question for you. I came across a review of the E500 by Gadgets news and tests. Look out for the comment I made there just a few hours ago. The trouble is that the ECG is measured with the protective coverings of the rear diodes still on. That's pretty fishy to me. It looks like the watch is faking it, maybe using other sensor data to create an ECG profile. What do you think? For my purpose I am debating whether to get a smart watch with ecg feature (either an unknown brand or more expensive known brand), or Wellue which produces dedicated tools. My confidence is shaken so I am not sure what to do.

I just received the T1 today and it is SO UNCOMFORTABLE after 12 hours I'm really disappointed. Hoping it breaks in a bit. But now I'm all excited to receive the E66 I ordered at the same thing. Going to take Mr Ticks' advice and end up wearing a V19 (instead of Spoven Blade like he mentioned) on one arm and an E66 on the other!

There's two groups I like, those with detailed SpO2 readings using red diodes that assess your night sleep in detail and others that do detailed ECG charts right on your arm (as well as in the app). The later are the N58, P8, and SE03 (will be publishing the reviews on the last two soon). Hello I purchased the E66 from your link. Very nice review. One quick question. How did you set it up to track the blood pressure automatically every certain period of time and get the records in the app? I get records of the temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation but not the blood pressure. I would greatly appreciate you kind help :)

Interesting, I'm only seeing the HR and temp options for interval measurements, which I've set to every 10 min, but I'm also getting BP and SpO2 readings every 10 minutes as well. So perhaps you'll get it all from setting the HR and temp, too.

Double check everything's tethered with the app. If it still doesn't work, try changing the time or turning it off, saving it, then changing back to 1 minutes. Try a factory restore if that doesn't do it. If none of that works, then make sure your heart is beating, OK? You'd be surprised how many fans find out they are clone robots when they start taking vitals. Never even knew. Thanks for your 3 year sub, too, Bryan!

If this one has that feature, look for it within the app on the phone. Generally, you select it there and your phone goes into photo mode. Your band changes to a trigger button with a touch or shake, depending on the model. So it's all governed by the app.

After the BP measurement displays on the watch, be sure to wait until the vibrator buzzes in the watch before doing anything else. Then you have to manually synchronize the watch and app .

Where can I go to get some help with this device? My phone sees the device by the Bluetooth but the app doesn't see the device. I can change the brightness of the screen but it looses the setting when the screen goes dark. It defaults to the lowest brightness setting and keep it there all the time.

Wow, I'm not sure how to help you with that. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app (preferably on a different phone in case there's some artifacts left after the uninstall). I don't think you can factory restore the watch, but if you can, try that too. I don't know anywhere that you can get tech support on small bands like this.

It should start measuring when you go to sleep, Milia. You might try resetting it and start over, just incase there's a problem with the software. Sorry you're having problems.

Try setting a sleep target. It's under Settings. I assume you know that you have to wear the watch when you go to bed. You have to manually synchronize the band and app so that the sleep data are uploaded to the app.

Page 4 of the manual (7.47 mins) shows a screen for weather information, but it seemed to be missing on your ESS. It's supposed to appear after the sleep screen. Did you disable it, or was it not enabled? Were the phone settings turned on for positioning, as mentioned in the manual?

I went through everything on the watch and app and there's no weather mentioned. Perhaps the manual is a holdover from a different model. Sure would be nice to know which band it belongs to!

@@SWT My E66 shows the weather screen. The trick is to turn on GPS on your phone. Also in Settings on your phone (not app), be sure that SmartHealth has permission to access GPS when it is active. The screen is also supposed to show air quality info, but I don't see any. The same weather info on the bracelet will appear in the app when you tap the Activity icon. It will show the current location, weather and temperature as well as the expected low and high temperatures for today.

What version of the SmartHealth app are you using? The version (v1. E24. 71) I downloaded this week is missing all those other menus. I cannot change the watch face theme nor set the monitoring frequency. Also is there a difference between the E66 +5DBF and E66 7AD9? They both come in identical packaging.

I've wondered that too. I'm pretty sure the weather comes from a push from the app, so look around in there. An Easter Egg would be finding where you can specify the location for the weather, or take the default phone's GPS location.

@@SWT I think the temperature/weather conditions data is fake. The app, under the activity tab, shows the right location for the phone but the temperatures are all wrong . What I see is that the range is always 69F to 96 F, every day. In the morning it starts at 69 and through the day gradually climbs to 96. As I write this my local weather is partly cloudy and 78 while the band and app show sunny and 96 F. Not that it is that important but why have a weather app at all on the band. One other note notifications, other than from the listed social media apps, do not get pushed over.

@@alphonsedesimone2931 The air temp on my E66 is accurate and varies as the day progresses. Remember that GPS/location on your phone must be left constantly on for the temp to be updated. But the weather icon seems to be stuck on partly cloudy even though the weather is actually clear. Edit: The weather icon did change to all clouds when it rained outside.

I don't think so. I don't know any way of hooking it up to get to the data without popping off the back and connecting directly to the chip. That would take an expert to figure out.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble of joy, but as far as I know there is only one (or maybe a couple) of wearable devices (like the smartwatch from Omron) that actually measure blood pressure, and they are all using inflatable parts. Is anyone aware of any method of optical or electronically method of measuring BP? I doubt that since you need to exert some form of variable pressure to the blood vessels so that you can measure the variations of the pressure inside the veins. I've seen chinese watches just throwing random numbers even when not on the wrist. I'm curious if this one gives any result when not being worn.

Optimal blood pressure data is estimated from the Pulse Wave Transit Time (PWTT) difference between the electrical ECG and pressure PPG signals (detected by the green diodes) in the watch. It's based on the premise that the speed of the pressure wave changes under different pressure loads while the ECG signal presents an instantaneous baseline signal for calculations. It's from that transit time differential that blood pressure deviation from an established norm can be assessed. To learn more, scholar.google.com and search ECG+PPG PWTT.

@@SWT NO problem, I'm out of hospital now and in normal rhythm. While it was occurring, I had a heart rate of around 125 and the monitor showed an AFib. The watch in the same period never registered a heartbeat above 90 and in the 13 tests I did of the ECG it never said anything other than 'Normal ECG of sinus rhythm'. The blood pressure and SP02 were pretty much spot on, though I can vouch for those, but a watch that touts itself as an ECG machine, and then doesn't pick up the most common heart arrhythmia is pretty unforgivable as a product!

Are you referring to the AI Analysis Report on the app? Have you looked at the Trend tracking report? In my case, there are times when the AI report says normal but the Trend report says suspected a-fib. Tap Abnormal on the Trend report to see if anything is listed there. Note: it make take time for the Trend report to come up. BTW, I find the ECG sensor to be very erratic. You really need to put some gel or at least water on your wrist and your finger when taking a reading.

@@ajarnthomas Nope, the trend tracking report shows normal all the way. What is unforgivable is being in hospital with a heart rate of 135, the monitor showing an Afib and the watch showing 86 and a normal trace. I am now using a 1 channel Kardia device, and that does pick up the Afib.
