Baker essentially had 48 hours to prepare and lead the B-team of the Rams with no O-line to a victory over the Raiders. I've never been a fan of Baker, but that is genuinely impressive, and probably the Rams' best win of the season. My team may have fallen off a cliff after winning the Super Bowl, but that's a solid win.

I love Colin. He's great at analysis, usually has a key observation that is spot on. This time it was when he pointed out Davante Adams had no catches in the second half. Bingo. That's why the Raiders lost. They gave up trying to get the ball to Davante, even after he made the Rams coverage look helpless in the first half. Running the ball is fine, but you can't stop trying to get the ball to the best playmaker you have on the field. Poor Davante. He's on the wrong team.

Baker is an amazing underdog story. How many quarterbacks can walk on to a major college University (OU) and not only compete with Other great quarterbacks but win the spot, then go on to win the Heisman trophy. Then goes to a Brown team that didn't know how to win a game and immediately turned that team around and got to the playoffs. Not to mention broke the rookie record for touchdowns. Yes, he's had some rocky times as of late, largely due to injury and the horrific coaching carousel. This dude is one of the most intelligent quarterbacks that's ever played in the league, has a heart of Iron, rallies his teammate, has a cannon of an arm and loves to compete. I truly enjoy watching him play because he has that "WOW Factor" Can't wait to see what he does next.

Raiders have found the formula for quicksand. The last 5 minutes of the game is one boneheaded move after another. As a Chiefs fan, it was glorious. Add that 98-yard drive with a buck fifty left, and I was howling with laughter on that final td pass. 🤣

Yeah, that's just part of his schtick. If you can tolerate the smugness (and I can) Colin often has some really insightful points. I just wish they weren't so slathered in weird analagies. I'm not a fan of Baker's, at all. He was a part of his own fall. However, he's a good quarterback and the way the Browns handled all of it was complete B.S. and annoyed the heck out of me for feeling bad for him. Last night was one of the best games this entire year not just for Baker. I hope he's learned and grown more and he can appreciate what he has now. That was amazing and he has earned his wow moment.

I definitely agree on the Raiders take. Play calling is definitely conservative and there really is no ATTACK to there offense, no aggressiveness. The blame also lies on Carr tho bcuz with three minutes to two minutes, they couldn’t even drive the ball and get one single 1st down. Defense shot themselves in the foot setting up Baker to win the game.

What Baker did was perhaps the best performance in NFL history. I'm not talking about stats, he got to LA late Wednesday had a walk through on Thursday and led the game winning 98 yd td drive Thursday night. How many of the 32 NFL starting qbs could've done that. I forget which show I was watching where a former NFL player described offensive plays but he basically described it as a team is more or less running the same like 8-10 plays over and over again but with different looks/formations/eye candy. I imagine that's what enabled Baker to "learn" the offense in 48 hours. McVay probably was like here's the 10 plays we run but they are disguised by 40 different looks on the wrist band but plays 1-4 are all a variation of slants, 5-10 are shotgun combo run/pass looks, etc. So Baker just had to memorize which numbers correspond with a base look and then just play football. He's not an idiot. He played in complex offenses in college at TTU and OU. I was pumped last night, great to see him get that win.

No, they just simplified the offense for Baker and ran scripted plays with minimal progressions. That’s what most teams do when they go to a backup in a pinch. Look at what the Ravens have done with Tyler Huntley last year and again this year. They ran simplified plays with quick reads and minimal progressions. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is Tyler Huntley’s third year in the NFL and his third year with the Ravens. I watch every NFL game, Bro, including all Ravens games. I’ve seen what Greg Roman does when Huntley has to relieve Lamar Jackson. He simplifies the play calling so Huntley makes only quick passes, and he doesn’t have to go through his progressions. 🤷🏻‍♂️
