For once when we ACTUALLY think Sarah Parnell would work well on a line....she's not included. I hope these aren't the actual announncements, it just sounds very "robotic" in the sense of "This-is-a-Baker-loo-line train to -Queens-park"

Shacario This is likely a prototype guessing they wont roll the 2024 stock onto the bakerloo untill about 2027 but i dont think this upgrade will happen
Literally, at first glance I thought it was the driver making the announcement. Emma Clarke was MUCH better. I wish Sarah Parnell did the new announcements in my opinion.
@@memediatek GreaterAnglia stuck with the annoubcements they had instead of using whoever announces in 710 and 345, i believe c2c will use their announcements aswell and not whoever announces 710 and 345
They're very different breeds - the Victoria is a high-capacity line with very intensive frequencies connecting the main terminals and every tube lines, whereas the Bakerloo is quieter with only a few key areas served in mind, hence the low frequency. Plus the tight turns on the Bakerloo would not fit the 2009 stock's gauge.
@@tfljunction699 The 72 stock uses very consuming Halogen bulbs and already, some trains were given LED headlights. There are a few vids on YT showing them
Honestly Elinor Hamilton sounds like a better fit for the Central and Bakerloo lines than whatever this is. There's a balance between how pleasant sounding the announcements are and how clear they are. The older announcements (Emma Clarke ones on the Bakerloo and unrefurbished Central) weren't exactly the most clear (presumably because of bad speakers and ambient noise) but they were quite pleasant to listen to. The Celia Drummond announcements were both clear and pleasant-sounding; they are the best announcements on the tube and strike the best balance between clarity and tone. The Julie Berry announcements on the Piccadilly line were also quite clear and sounded nice too. Then we got Sarah Parnell. The announcements on the Victoria line are clear, but they're a lot less pleasant and a lot of the tones are over-emphasised which makes it sound weird and artificial. The Celia imitation for the Canning Town announcement just sounds awful, while the Elinor Hamilton Battersea Power Station announcements sound somewhat fine, though some of the words are pronounced slightly oddly. Now it's Adrian Heiatt and the announcements sound far too robotic. The consonants are over-emphasised in an attempt to increase clarity but it just sounds weird. If TfL continues down this path their announcements will soon sound worse than Toronto TTC subway announcements which are the most depressing announcements to have ever existed.
@@tfljunction699 they do I saw the video with the 72 stock run on the Piccadilly and district lines and the 72 stock on the Piccadilly and district lines is fitted with Automated Track Monitoring System of the video made by southlondonrailway
Too robotic, no thanks. Emma Clarke’s announcements are an integral part of the Bakerloo Line, and these announcements 🤮. Even I prefer Sarah Parnell to this guy.
