A small business owner in Northern California says her pie shop is out thousands of dollars after Tesla unexpectedly canceled an order for thousands of mini pies. Voahangy Rasetarinera, the owner of The Giving Pies, says she sent the invoice multiple times to multiple people but never received payment.

If they didn’t pay at least half upfront then you shouldn’t have started the order. Anything over $300 requires 50% deposit anyplace I’ve ever ordered

I'm surpised the bakery owner didn't require payment prior to baking the order. A lot of businesses require payment ahead of time for orders over $500.

Tesla didn't place an ORDER. They engaged in negotiations and the bakery thought they had an actual contract. They did not have a contract.She WISHED they had an order and jumped the gun. Tired of hearing her whine about this. She has gotten so much press over making a bad business decision.

just curious... who else to interview? I mean it seems inevitable in this scenario, if you are not directly involved you wouldn't know, but if you're close then you're obviously biased.

@@bloodlove93 The owner claiming for a huge amount of money, but cannot explain clearly nor can she describe how it all happened from the start from the interview questions. What exactly transpired is unaccounted for it sounds like a setup to get free money, thats called extortion. Think about the fact she chose a wealthy company Tesla who guards their reputation. Why would Tesla order $16,000 worth of pies and cancel after she supposedly made them, however she admits she always gets paid first, so why didn’t she get the full amount first this not a true claim at all.

Some businesses extend "credit" for reputable or distinguished companies and brands because they expect a company as large as Tesla to make full payment upon completion of deliverables. It's not a wise business decision given Tesla's past shadiness with other vendors and with any business or individual for that matter, but what's done is done. @@Louise180

I am going to assume just based from the content of this interview dealing with this woman and coordinating an order was very difficult. She can’t even explain dates or absurd cost basis or return policy on a interview pleading her case to the Media so they decided to go with someone else more reliable and professional. The fact she went straight to social media is about as unprofessional as it gets. Only reason this is a story is because MSM hates Elon
