UTT should consider going around TnT to find dying arts such as this type of mud oven making and learn and document how this is done. These arts and history should not only be preserved but taught once again

Beautiful!!! It's very good for the younger generation to see. I must show this video to my daughter, who's thirty years old; she has never seen this type of oven. Although the younger generation wouldn't have the cause to use this type of oven, they'd at least have an idea of how bread, cakes and pies were baked long ago. Everything that has been baked in these types of oven, are very tasty. They're the best! Thank you Natasha, you're doing a wonderful job! God bless.

@@TriniCookingwithNatasha Natasha do you know that I've used this type of oven in 1970. My neighbour had one that's similar to this in the video. Out of curiosity, I asked her how it operates. She said, "Saturday when you're making bread and cake bring them here, and I'll teach you to do it". I used to bake every Saturday, so the next Saturday I prepared my bread and cake at home, and went across to my neighbour's and baked it, and shared with her. It was fun for me as I was only fifteen years old at the time. Those were the good old days! I remembered sprinkling some all purpose flour in the oven, after it was swept out, to know if it had the right temperature, before placing the bread and cakes inside. If the flour turned dark brown, it's too hot, you'd have to wait a short while for the oven temperature to cool, before placing your bread and cake inside, so that they wouldn't be burnt.

@@TriniCookingwithNatasha I've always appreciated these kinds of things, and very curious to know how it operates. I always wanted to know how the people lived long ago. What they've used to cook their meals, and do everything to survive during those difficult times. We have everything very easy now!

All people talk about is the crime in tobago it’s stuff like this that keeps me coming back again and again I usually stay in crown point this time going a lil further inland Scarborough let’s see the food omg is the best
