White Bread Recipe:
Makes 2 loaves
1 packet or 2 1/4 tsps. of Active dry yeast
2 1/4 cups warm water
3 Tbsp + 1/2 tsp Granulated sugar
1 Tbsp Salt
2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
6 1/2 cups Bread Flour
In your stand mixer add your warm water, yeast, and 1/2 tsp granulated sugar. Mix and let sit for 5 minutes for your yeast to bloom. When your 5 minutes is up it should look frothy. Add your vegetable oil and mix. Then add your remaining sugar, salt, and half your bread flour. Beat your mixture until smooth then add your remaining flour 1/2 cup at a time to form a soft dough. Once your soft dough has formed knead your dough for 8-10 minutes. You want your dough to be soft and elastic. Form into a ball and add to a greased bowl. Place in a warm area until doubled in size. About 1-2 hours.
Punch down your dough and take out of your bowl onto a floured surface. Divide the dough in half and flatten. Roll up your dough into 2 logs and place each into a greased 9x5 bread pan. Cover and let sit in a warm area until doubled in size. 1-1 1/2 hours.
Once your dough has doubled in size preheat your oven to 375°F. Brush your dough with melted butter and make a slice down the middle. Place your loaves in the oven for 15 minutes, just to check that your dough isn't browning to quickly. Then add another 15 minutes. If your dough is browning to quickly, you can add aluminum on top to prevent it from burning. Your loaves are ready when they reach the internal temperature of 200°F. Take out of the oven and remove from your pans, brush with more butter on top and let cool.
