I hope they at least fix the Starstreak....it's really painful now.

Fast forward 10 months and after further nerfs the starstreak is now by far the worst SAM in the game and still a lower br than the French Roland 🤷

Meh just aim for weakspots, it's effortless argue about "XX shell doesn't pen YY tank". Top tier it's this, they are not gonna to make better penetration for any rounds so...it's pointless argue more and more on how APFSDS are unable to pen targets in this game; i give a fun fact about the Challenger 1 just readed yesterday. The L23 was a capable round but they (British) develop also the L26 DU cored APFSDS; firing tests reported this: -L23 penetration at 1000 meters was 450mm. -L26 penetration at 1000 meters was 570mm. Enough to outmatch most of the soviet tanks in both armor and armament aspects. WT it's far away from this because Russian Bias make everything better, even when it's not the case. ​@@Sh-epardNice. Ye the British rounds were not the best at the time in NATO but they were still very capable. Given the better armour array for most of the cold war era 60's to late 80's helped make them more resilient to what the Soviets could fire back at them. Also, thanks for the source. There is some Declassified documents showing very similar figures too. Same for the armour arrays which as usual show in-game armour is off. In the mk2 off by around 100mm and some places about 150mm.

It’s a real shame. Someone hacked the MOD to prove how good in real life the chally is but now it’s useless. I mean sometimes it will still eat rounds for breakfast with no problem but sometimes it’s like glass as u said

​@@familypickering454The armour ratings are Declassified. Can find some page posts online from people who did a freedom of information request. As known the Challenger 1 mk2 had better frontal and side armour protection in all areas bar the front under glacis than the Leopard 2A4. Approaching 550-600mm in some areas. But generally over 80% was about 500-525mm. This latter part is from someone I know who was in the first Gulf war who I spoke to endlessly about the tank. Said during the conflict they were told to pull back and re-angage if the Iraqi armour got within 1500m because that's when the hull of the Challenger 1mk2/mk3 had a possible chance of penetration. So shows how well armoured it was to be able to withstand the 125mm at such ranges. Capability in protection wise is was a little less protected than the US M1A1(HA). It was the Challenger 2 baseline armour and other specs leaked by an engineer/mechanic who maintained Challenger 2's.

Any tips for it? I quite struggle in toptier and strv 122a even if i have positive kd ):

@@jcindbouncy Carry 16 rounds. That way you will only store ammo in the turret bustle. You can trick people by using that deadspace as an advantage when pushing around corners. Other than that, it's your standard Leopard 2. When in a gunfight, after firing, angle your turret slightly, to make it harder for the enemy to breach you. Utilize those turret cheeks.

How did u have chally 1 without Chieftains or Centurions???

I have both unlocked but I dont have enough SL to get them. I gave up grinding because most of the time every one can lolpen my vickers mk7 .

That we certainly do. We just need to learn how to make quieter engines

@@GothicHellhound yup but it's also their only IFV but the milan launcher is nasty and gen 2 thermals I'd still love to see the proposed warrior upgrades in the game as they are mostly just turret changes bit all have stabilised main guns

I mean he also has left after dying one time even with full line ups

Gaijin would rather cripple the challengers stats than make it realistic and put at an appropriate BR

@@GothicHellhound Not to mention we saw the best of it. Due to it's ammo placement, turret armor which is nerfed 2 times(500mm->460mm->430mm) and a playstyle not at all suited for 87% of the maps makes it a niche vehicle. Challenger tanks are the worst MBT style vehicles in the game and the Cr.2's have an even more demotivating stock grind than the Ariete. Its a vehicle that succeeds only when the team around is good enough. I even took this tank myself out after the christmas sales and even now, the amount of premium tanks we see, makes it a turkey shoot. I dispise and feel empathy towards those low lvl players who jump to the deep end only to be picked off by people who've extenssive experience of the game mechanics. Still it doesn't mean it's better than a T-72B, Type-96A, M60A3 or even the AMX-40
