Adding Refusing Compulsory Sexuality to my tbr! It sounds fantastic. I'm reading Bad Feminist right now and it's so good! I read Hunger a while back, but I needed a few years to recover from that one. It was amazing, but also one of the most upsetting books I've ever read. And your soup looks so delicious. I love watching you make food.
Refusing Compulsory Sexuality is so good!!! I kept highlighting the entire book when I read it LOL. Ohh I think I listened to Bad Feminist at some point but I for sure wanna revisit it some day.Hunger was a traumatizing book, it's devastating to think there are so many people went through so many painful things in life :(
Hi, I've discovered your channel recently and I'm loving how different and diverse the books you're reading are compared to a lot of other popular booktubers (no offense to them) so thank you for all the new recommendations!!
yaay refusing compulsory sexuality!! it is so well written. It is one of the best books I've read this year and it's had such a significant impact on my brain rewiring. how fascism works has been on my TBR for a while and I've been thinking about picking it up, but I've been hyper fixated on books about Palestine (and related topics such as oppression in other areas across the globe). so probably not until next year 😅 also loving the cooking & cats chilling vlog❤
I am still in the middle of refusing compulsory sexuality, but I agree - such an excellent book! How fascism works is worth reading, it has a very global POV. I am also on the look out for books on Palestine - do you have books you recommend?
i'm glad we could be there while you read how fascism works..and glad it turned out well...ii loved the cover of shatter light so while it was not a good experience for you it's good for me as now i won't be fooled. by it! so thanks.. sometimes an author just puts their second book out too quickly and it's half-baked.
I'm glad you guys accompanied me when I read heavy books 😆 Glad I helped you know a little about The Scatter of Light, I loved the cover too - what a shame the book didn't live up to my expectation :/
