Hunter's dagger is underrated on this list. You can get multiple. And can fit into debuff builds right from act 1, whereas many builds don't come online for a while. You can stack rupture too, doing quite a bit of damage since it'll trigger 1d4 damage for every 2ft the enemy moves. And I'm pretty sure the dagger applies 3 stacks of rupture with one hit, so you're doing 3d4 assuming you can get the enemy to move. Strong early game, synergy with any disengage. Love using those things.
Thanks brother! Hope you’re doing well too. I’m glad you enjoy the tier lists! Poor scraper was in S tier but I had to move it before someone commented 🤣
There's also the Artificial Leech +1, from one of the nurses in the house of healing. It has a special action bloodletting that can apply bleed to an enemy.
I did an honor mode playthrough with an assassin rogue (12 levels) playing only with 1 dagger, coating the weapons with my bonus action and etc. Bro it wasn’t so strong but I had a blast with it
Have you considered placing all the just +1 +2+3 weapons in C tier? My logic would be that some creatures have resistance to nonmagical damage and the jump from RP tier to C tier can be mainly attributed to that. The upgrade between a +1 and +2 weapon is considerably less beneficial.
Will Shadowheart still give you disapproval for stealing the ritual dagger of shar if you wait until after she saves the Nightsong and switches faiths?
Can confirm she does. Happened in my most recent playthrough. Forgot about the temple until after beating Ketheric, but I went for xp. She doesn't truly switch faiths until Act 3 (just stops being a blind follower of shitty Shar), but the hair change seems to be the clear marker for shifts in approval. Saving the Nightsong is clearly a trigger for certain banter changes, like she won't be so insufferable if you first visit the shrine under Last Light after freeing the Nightsong. I am curious if she still disapproves stealing the Shar dagger if Nightsong has told her about her parents, but I would assume so.
I still don’t quite understand your love for the Stillmaker! By the time you reach Act 3, hold person needs a good spellcasting modifier because otherwise most enemies will save against it, so it’s really only going to be reliable on a caster. And casters just have much better weapons available to them, one of which is Rhapsody. As for Rhapsody only being +1, as soon as you kill a single person it’s effectively a +2 dagger anyway, and ends up being a +4 dagger for most of the day. That’s before you even factor in the bleeding effect or the scarlet feast active ability. It’s an amazing dagger, I’d rate it top 2 alongside bloodthirst!
Oh yes Rhapsody is a really good dagger, the bonus to attack and spell save DC is huge. With the stillmaker you can cast the hold person and then swap it to rhapsody! I think the stillmaker looks really cool too I don’t know why the stillmaker has a +2 enhancement but the rhapsody only has +1
@@ProbeAway I guess you’re right… but it’s Cazador’s dagger they should make it OP! Hahaha but yeah that’s probably why. Daggers are a tad underwhelming compared to other weapons
@@JasonDunna yeah, it’s often about what other benefits they provide. Rhapsody is just about the ultimate goolock weapon. +3 attack to your eldritch blasts with +3 damage on each beam, and a +3 to the mortal reminder save DC
What? Ritual Dagger "only good in one small area of the game"? You can literally just give yourself bless with a bonus action whenever you want at the cost of taking a tiny amount of damage, plus it's also usable in certain dialogue checks where you'd normally need to spent a slot on Bless or a spend a Valour Bardic Inspiration. For an archer who doesn't really use their melee weapons, carrying it in their offhand along with something like the Undermountain King's Knife is great. In the early-mid game it's fantastic for offsetting the accuracy penalty of Sharpshooter. If you pre-coat your bow with the Oil of Accuracy before a fight, that's an additional +3 to 6 on every attack roll. To me no other dagger even competes with this until Act 3. Also, maybe I sound a bit too critical. I'm just commenting cause it's fun to discuss these things.
I usually have shadowheart applying bless when we get this weapon, and then by the time I have shadowheart concentrate on other spells there's usually better daggers available, but that's a good point on an archer. I also like the Whispering promise ring giving bless on heal + mass healing word applies to the whole team It just doesn't have any magical +1 or +2 enhancements so I find I end up using different weapons.
I think the bit about only being good in one part of the game was in reference to wargfang, when Jay was moving it down to c tier to make way for the ritual dagger in b tier
@@ProbeAway yeaaa that’s exactly what it was! I just realized that now too. Worgfang is mostly just useful in goblin camp. I gotta be careful when talking about multiple items it’s hard to distinguish hahaha
@@MikeHawk04 there was a lot of information floating around about throwing it for some reason, but it sadly doesn’t work that way I’ve read sooo many posts in the past about how it’s a good throwing weapon but it only silences on weapon attack
poo scraper s tier LMAO Real it's Orin's Weapon and knife under the mountain king and does belm count too? yes yes congrats on 20k! hope you're havng a good summer's break, i think? If you have those
