Urge is in desperate need of friends before he heads to Baldur's Gate. Unfortunately, his friends (like Astarion) don't tend to stick around for very long... he needs someone tougher.
In this Baldur's Gate 3 challenge, we have to roll ALL dialogue options and ALL class choices with dice and see where it takes us.

so far it seems like Halsin is not actually a companion (can't be put on our team), he's just kinda hanging out in our camp lol But yes we are technically "friends" haha

@@CopycatsYT I think he only becomes a companion after about halfway through his quest but at the very least I think the hardest dialogue check was saving Isobel anyways. Could be doable since the dead tieflings probably don't matter. Assuming he even has a quest at least considering the weirdness at hand.

In order to get him, you have to complete his character quest. There's a sick flaming fist at the inn who knows where to find a random boy he's very fond of.

I fucking love how he refuses any magical artifact! Magic prism containing a guy who keeps you safe? Nope drop it. Again! Nope drop it. A book full of necromancy spells? Nope nothing to do with it. A mace containing the blood of a god? Nope leave it there. You know the joke alignment Chaotic Lawful? Where they have a code they follow but nobody can freaking understand it. This is literally Urge.

It's really wild how invested I am in this playthrough. Not only is Urge the most fascinating player character I've seen in this game, but this is.... almost like a weird sort of modern art? You guys are subverting the genre of the choice-based RPG by willingly surrendering all choice completely to random chance! Hell yeah, that's COMMENTARY, baby! (Also, very impressed and grateful that Lae'zel survived till now. She has so many chances at permadeath in act 1, the fact that she made it this far is testament enough that this woman is unkillable. Doomed by the narrative? Nah son, the narrative is so terrified of her that it has un-doomed her.)

LOL I didn't mind Wyll that much on my first playthrough but he's annoying me so much on this one. I think because on my first playthrough I was "good" so while his comments were kind of sus he was able to pass a lot better as a well-intentioned good guy. In the Urge playthrough, Urge is an absolute psychopath so having this idiot acting heroic while traveling with a psychopath is so ANNOYING. lmao.

I love this as a super unique playthrough in terms of choices (because what sane, rational person would ever pick these series of options lmao) so I'll definitely be watching the full series! Also I feel like it makes some sense that Halsin joined you as in character as far as he knows, you saved him from the goblins and when trying to reach the grove it was blocked off BUT he has no reason to suspect you had any involvement (its clearly druidic magic from the groove and he can probably guess at a few culprits), so instead he turns back to the only other objective he has now which was reaching Moonrise towers to stop the shadow curse / figure out what is going on with the tadpoles.

@@CopycatsYT That is a fair point, but it seems more that she was upset at Wyll who has made his presence well-known in the grove and apparently did nothing to stop its sealing/presumable death of all the outsiders within. She probably doesn't know any of the details of what happened or the Tav involvement but more likely its just a game being a game and they wouldn't code interactions for EVERY single scenario especially the unlikely ones lol.

Urge has a reason too - everyone's always provoking him! Unfortunately, provoking Urge could just mean you spoke to him. Lae'zel figured out the formula, you just have to talk AT him and then leave before he can respond.

This series is a testament to how many "idiot-countermeasures" Larian put into this game to prevent player-decision-induced softlocks. Afaik, the only solid softlocks are found in Act 3 due to tons of quests simply blocking others and the very real possibility to accidentally get sent into endgame. Alongside the many crash-inducing locations, Act 3 kinda-feels rushed.

OGH this Urge is my true canon BG3 hero. Him and his minty fresh hair. ..If it's possible I'd love a full play-through of this. However long Urge could make it last of a playthrough, that is. Enough about Urge; I absolutely love your guys humour and style. +1 sub \o/

The next episode is currently in editing and it's already making me laugh just organizing the footage, glad you enjoy our content!! I stumbled into this series by accident but it actually is the funniest series I watched, in a whole while in general, and the funniest I've ever seen in baldur's gate. Like many people said, I love the consistency of Urge. I love the little dice animation and all of your animations in generell they add so much love to this. I legit laughed pretty much the entire video. It was awesome. I am so excited for the next part even if it takes a while.

And I'm wondering if the reason for how often Urge chooses to attack is that your random prefers the higher numbers from random? Whereas usually something aggressive on the bottom and diplomatic on the top. Either way, it's a great playthrough, sticking with it, you're just cinnamon rolls. :)

I wrote the code/logic for the app myself - it's definitely true random! I think he chooses attack so much because it's given as an option at a ridiculous rate, even in conversations where it's not appropriate or there's no reason to even attack someone yet lol. I didn't notice it in my first playthrough because I'm not a murder hobo, but now that I'm noticing it really leaves me scratching my head sometimes for why they choose to include attack as an option in certain places lmao.

@@CopycatsYT This is insanely interesting! They may have added this option just for those who want it. Out of the "someone came to attack the druids from the goblin side, accidentally triggers the dialog, and they need to attack" category. But that's just speculation. Nevertheless all the most chaotic and aggressive options are always at the bottom. And your Urge loves them so much, it's just statistically higher.... Let's see where this leads. Looking forward to more videos.

21:36 Halsin was unable to contact any druids from the grove, due to the ritual. Nobody could tell him what happened, so he has no clue, and because of the ritual, he never will. It's the perfect crime.
