These videos are BEST experienced with headphones as I spend a decent amount of time on audio presentation. It's great to be back with some lore! I am excited to start up this new series. Every topic I choose to cover I strongly believe will present information that will only enhance your BG3 experience, so subscribe for more! Shooting for a video every Sunday but I am sure I will miss a few. 🐺 Become a Member - ru-vid.com/show-UCi3RdvCWYMzdF-iUgG_0xLQjoin 🔴 Patreon - www.patreon.com/WolfheartFPS 🔵 Discord (free) - discord.gg/4GyD7ZR GOG Link - af.gog.com/partner/Wolfheartfps?as=1676346721 NOTE* Any game purchased even if not on my personal GOG partner page will support the channel (up to 7 days after clicking the link) Socials - Follow my Twitter - twitter.com/wolfheartfps Instagram - instagram.com/wolfheartfps
Could you put this video and the following into a playlist to better keep up with the upcoming uploads especially? this was exactly what I was looking for since I never got to play the first 2 games and most "What happened b4 BG3" videos leave out most of the details and don't really immerse you into the world.
I much appreciate you doing this series, it'll help fill in the gaps for myself and others who don't know all of the lore surrounding the most relevant things in BG3. Much love.
Really looking forward to this game being completed. I've been playing games, D&D, and reading countless novels set in the Forgotten Realms for about 35 years now.
Audio quality is great! As someone who loves Divinity Original Sin 2 but has never played BG before I really WANT to love and be excited about this game. I'm still not sure if the world and lore here is "accessible" enough for me, but I'm sure this series will help!
Thanks a lot! There's definitely a lot of history in the Forgotten Realms, but the good thing is that Larian is setting BG3 up to where it's a not a requirement to know the lore. With that said, knowing bits and pieces of it I think will certainly make for a more immersive experience!
If you want to learn exactly what happened during the time of troubles check out these three novels; Shadowdale, Tantris and Waterdeep. It's the Time of Troubles Triogy and follows the party who puts an end to Bane, Myrkul and Baal. Well, for the time being anyways lol. Thanks for the vid Wolfheart. Was spot on. As an old fan who played through the time of troubles back in the AD&D days, this was very nice to watch.
I appreciate this series as I was planning on watching your previous videos explaining the lore behind BG 1 & 2 from a year ago. Honestly, I was deciding whether to even play those games but realize I may not have the time commitment.
Im glad taht you doing this lore vids brother. Im a gamer like 30 years now but missed orignals from that time in the past so it's good to get to know the lore of this complex world:)
Usually I watch your videos on the speaker but today for some random reason I used headphones. Good job! The difference is acknowledgable, and video’s nicer to watch. Also, tank you for doing this series, I watch all your videos, but this one is what I’m most excited about. Keep up doing the good work 🦾
Finally back to the campfire for some more lore! This type of content is what brought me to your channel in the first place. Thank you! Wolfpack, best pack.
I was genuinely hyped that you might do these! I want to immerse myself into the world before BG3 but I'm already chock full of other fantasy lore. You da real MVP
Lore vids are what first brought me to this cgannel. Love the shorter, concise storytelling approach. I found that really easy to follow and can't wait for future lore!
Hell yeah, mate. Great backstory. I've been a Forgotten Realms fan since reading the Avatar trilogy when it was released, but loved this lore refresher. Cannot wait for the rest of them!
Wonder how the Dark Urge will play into the story of these three, and if it's just Bhaal, or all three. If you go pure evil, do you end up taking all their power and becoming the new Jergal... or are you Jergal reborn, come back for his power?
WolfheartFPS I would like to thank you for these lore videos. As a DM they help tremendously and as a BG fan it makes the wait for BG 3 worth it. Thank you sir.
I appreciate this series for both preparing for BG3 and also for DMing as I’m planning on running a large campaign using books like Waterdeep Dragon Heist and Baldur’s Gate Decent into Avernus.
Love it, another lore video to delve into. I made a custom party so not to spoil the companion dialog and exploring with characters I normal would not play with. Been cool so far
Fun fact. Selune's Tears are the result of a weapon created by the oldest Faerun civilization. The ancient dragon empire. Fired to end a great threat to it. The weapon worked just fine. They just... Missed.
Thank you for the video Wolfheart! I enjoy videos about lore in the Forgotten Realms a lot. I look forward to your next one! Also, I'm curious as to how the Dead Three got together with some mindflayers. I'm hoping that Larian does a good job in explaining how all of it fits together.
I would love some lore videos on the Hells, vampire lore in Faerun and anything related to House of Hope (is she an entity? A minor deity? What did Raphael want from her in more practical terms? How about her sister?)
HYPE! Thank you for sharing this story and I look forward to more from this series. The Forgotten Realms has so much history to share and you are a great story teller with excellent delivery! Well done!
So many interesting questions arise, though: 1. Where did The Dead Three get their hands on Netherese magic? 2. Did the Mind Flayers agree to the alteration of their Tadpoles, or are they unwilling dupes? 3. How does the Cult of the Absolute work towards achieving the goals of The Dead Three? 4. What is Shar's role in all of this?
I love this kind of videos :) Sadly I read this book for the first time yesterday haha damn. Will you read more of the books of baldurs gates games? or will you make me read them myself like a pleb!!!!! x) But thank you, you made me sit down and play Baldurs gate 1 now that I bought maby years ago haha.
