I can't stand Baldwin, and I'm pretty sure he'll get away with this. Karry is going to have a hard time though, she's always doing things backwards and the defense for Hannah *never* objected. They never waited for the judge to make ruling on objections. It was WILD.

Carrie can be pretty unlikeable at times, too. So much so, that had Hannah not made such crass statements over the phone, I think she would have gotten time served. Ppl felt like Carrie was crossing the line many times over in the HGR trial.

@@heatherhapgood6235not at all. The rules for guns are different and they should be. The number one rule of guns is ALWAYS assume it’s loaded. More than that, he violated process on set. The gun person has a role to play. Baldwin is completely responsible for rushing.

That said, this sort of thing is trading for a possible advantage in the court of law for a near certain liability in the court of public opinion. "If he's as innocent as he wants to claim, why all this effort to hobble the prosecution?" (BTW what is the burden of proof in the court of public opinion?)

That usually doesn't go very well. I do not get why Alec Baldwin and his team wants to turn the judge against them. It's not like they have anyone else at this point.

That was certainly a question in the Depp v. Heard trial. I think most people _believed_ they could tell when the actors were being sincere and when they were putting on a show. But obviously not all people came to the same conclusion, so it's tricky.

Exactly my point! Every single Armorer he has ever worked with should be showing up to testify that a) they are not shit at their jobs (unlike Hannah) and b) Baldwin absolutely 100% has the institutional knowledge to have known better.

Trust me, this is Baldwins doing. If you would like to see lawyers who run up their bills, look into Alex Murdaughs lawyers. For the entire trial, they rented out this huge estate which is usually rented for weddings. The place can do several at one time as well as house the guests, There was a big spread done. They not only did not need a place this elite but not a place this big. Not to mention the price, I can't remember now but it was ridiculous.

If they try to slow it down the Judge will give them only 1 day. She's not playing with them. She's very smart. She told them she'd see how things go and that will determine how many days they get, if they slow it down they get less time than ever.

It's actually a very good filling to try and get in the prosecutors head as it warns her that they will be objecting to bad behavior and gives much less leeway to argue her way out when she gets caught. It's actually quite genius.

@@shawn4888 Possibly. I guess we'll find out when the trial actually starts. People do tend to choose attorneys that they can push around or that are just like themselves, so bullying is still in the running, at least for me.
