On this episode of Mapping It, we travel to Bali to explore this tropical paradise! After our long travel day, we check in to THE BEST HOTEL IN BALI: BALI DROOM VILLAS and it's incredible! On our BALI HOTEL TOUR, we show you some cool features of our villa, including a huge INFINITY POOL overlooking a RICE PADDY and MOUNT AGUNG, Bali's biggest volcano! We even have a personal butler!
DAY ONE of our trip has us joining a cooking class in Bali at GREEN KITCHEN BALI! We start with a LOCAL MARKET TOUR in Bali where we try some tasty Balinese snacks and explore the market stalls. Then we head to an ORGANIC FARM IN SIDEMEN where we pick vegetables to use in our dishes. We have a PRIVATE COOKING CLASS where we cook for 3 hours, making delicious TRADITIONAL BALINESE FOOD including CHICKEN SATAY and JACKFRUIT CURRY and more!
DAY TWO of our trip we explore THE BEST TEMPLES IN EASTERN BALI, starting with LEMPUYANG TEMPLE also know as the GATES OF HEAVEN. Then we visit TAMAN UJUNG, and TIRTA GANGGA, two beautiful water palaces. After exploring these incredible temples, we head to UBUD and check into THE PRETTIEST AIRBNB IN UBUD, complete with a beautiful infinity pool. We wrap up the night with some BABI GULING for dinner. It’s a jam packed day so stick around!
DAY THREE of our ONE WEEK IN BALI has us taking THE BEST DAY TRIP IN BALI! We head out from Ubud to visit ULUN DANU BERATAN TEMPLE to start our day. We make a quick stop at HANDARA GATE for some photos before heading to the prettiest rice paddies in Bali. JATILUWIH RICE TERRACE is the best rice terrace in Bali! In the afternoon we hike to a hidden waterfall in central Bali and have the place to ourselves for a little while. LEKE LEKE WATERFALL is quite possibly the most magical waterfall in Bali!
DAY FOUR of our trip starts with an early morning visit to TEGALLALANG RICE TERRACE to beat the crowds and wander through rice paddies for some incredible views! Then we head back to our VILLA IN UBUD for a floating breakfast, and later, we give you a hotel tour. Next, we head into CENTRAL UBUD to check out some HISTORIC SITES IN UBUD, including the UBUD ROYAL PALACE and SARASWATI TEMPLE - a stunning water palace in the center of Ubud. In the evening we enjoy an incredible dinner at ROOM4DESSERT and have a 15 course tasting menu! It's very possible that it's the BEST RESTAURANT IN UBUD!
DAY FIVE starts with a boat transfer from SANUR HARBOR in Bali to NUSA PENIDA and head to our hotel at KELINGKING BEACH!
DAY SIX has an early start for a SUNRISE TOUR OF NUSA PENIDA! We start at THOUSAND ISLAND VIEWPOINT and then visit DIAMOND BEACH. Next we stop by KELINGKING BEACH take some time to enjoy the monkeys! Our last stop on Nusa Penida is ANGEL’S BILLABONG and BROKEN BEACH before heading back to BALI and where we check in to DREAMSEA SURF CAMP in ULUWATU and enjoy one of the BEST HOTELS IN ULUWATU!
DAY SEVEN is our last day in Bali we explore ULUWATU! We head to THOMAS BEACH in ULUWATU and spend the day swimming. In the evening, we head to ULUWATU TEMPLE to watch the KECAK DANCE overlooking the cliffs and the sea. We also have an encounter with a monkey that stole our glasses!
